Uzumaki Naruto was in his room as usual, not doing anything special. He lied in his bed and stared into the roof. A few cracks were spotted by his keen, blue eyes. His blond, spiky hair was all messed up as he had his head on the pillow. He was dressed in just a pair of boxers, and had his sheets over his body. He sighed deeply.

 

“If there only was someone…anyone…who actually cared about me…” he said to himself. All since people knew about his host, the demon Kyuubi that ravaged the lands for so many ages, they have begun to resent him, even hate him. They rather wished that he would drop dead and not bother them anymore. Naruto was born into a world of hatred and prejudice, no doubt about it. He looked to his side. The walls were covered in white painting, his shelves filled with Kunais and Shurikens, and a few posters hanged on it. He sighed again, and got up. He went over to his closet, and picked out his usual, orange overall with white trims, and then looked above the hangers. A forehead protector lied there. Its band was blue with a metal plate on it, and a black leaf symbol was carved into it. He took it down and strapped it around his forehead. He looked into the mirror in his closet, and saw himself. Uzumaki Naruto. A lonely boy, in a lonely world. He hated the fact that things were like they were, and not the other way around. He hated the foul words thrown at his face, hated the fact that he had a demon inside his body, hated it all. He suddenly got mad, clutched his fist, and slammed it into the mirror. It shattered, and a red liquid flowed from Naruto’s knuckle. He examined his wounds, shrugged his shoulders, and went into the kitchen. There was a cold leftover plate of Ramen on the table. He took his chopsticks and ate it without complaining.

 

“Wonder if something special will happen today?” he asked himself with a mouthful of Ramen. In that moment, a knock was heard on the door.

 

“Delivery for Mr. Uzumaki!” a voice shouted. Naruto was kinda surprised. He, of all people, getting a delivery? He stood up, walked over to the door, and opened it. Outside was a young man, dressed in a Ninja Outfit, with his black hair in dreads across his face. He had a small parcel in his hand. Naruto took it and paid the man 15 Yun, before he ran off with his other deliveries. Naruto raised his eyebrow a bit, and dropped the parcel on the table.

 

“What could it be?” he asked himself, and ripped up the paper. Inside, he found a small, yellow device with a red trim. It had a screen and a few buttons, nothing more. “Huh? What’s this?” he picked it up, and pressed a button. In that moment, the device began to glow and vibrate, and Naruto was scared. He desperately tried to make it stop, but the device suddenly glowed so much, it burned his skin. He screamed a bit, and threw it on the table. A bright light erupted from it, temporarily blinding him. After a long while, he cracked his eyelids open, only to find someone standing in front of him! “WAAAH!” he tried to run out of the kitchen, but clumsily fell to the floor. He got half-way up, until he felt a soft hand on his chin.

 

“You ok?” asked a female, soothing voice.

 

“Y-Yeah…” replied Naruto, and looked up. He could not believe his eyes. In front of him was a humanoid fox with yellow fur, and white fur on the chest, and at the end of its legs, hands and the tip of its tail. It had blue, glistering eyes, pointy ears, and purple gloves on its hands. It smiled at him, and lifted him up.

 

“Good! You looked kinda funny when you fell!” it giggled with a female voice. Naruto grinned a bit and rubbed the back of his head.

 

“Hehe, guess I did!” he replied, a bit embarrassed. “So, who are you?”

 

“You tell me your name first, Partner…” the creature replied.

 

“Partner?!”

 

“Yeah, don’t you know? You have a Digivice, correct? That means we’re partners! So, what’s your name?”

 

“Well, I’m Uzumaki Naruto!” replied Naruto. “Who are you?”

 

“My name is Renamon.” replied Renamon, and looked around. “So, this is your home? Kinda shabby…”

 

“Heh, I know, but it’s all I can afford!”

 

“Well, I believe I can make myself at home here! If…I can stay, that is?”

 

“Of course! I mean, if what you say is true, you’re my Partner!” Naruto smiled at Renamon. She suddenly bent down to him and gave him a tight hug.

 

“Thank you…” she whispered, and a small tear stroke across her cheek. Naruto hugged her back and comforted her.

 

“Hey, no problem, ok? Stay here if you wish…” he replied. As they stopped hugging each other, Naruto picked out a bowl of Ramen from the fridge, and placed it next to his on the table, and sat down in front of his. “Eat it! You look hungry!” he smiled and ate his Ramen. Renamon carefully sat down and picked up a pair of chopsticks. She rolled up some Ramen at them, and ate.

 

“Hmmmm……this is delicious! Thank you!” she smiled as she swallowed.

 

“Heh, what did I tell ya!” Naruto grinned happily, and they both continued to eat…

In the streets of the Sand Village, Gaara of The Desert walked alone. He, like Naruto, is an outcast because of a Demon host inside of him. The dreaded Shukaku Sand Demon. No one wanted anything to do with him, and feared that he might kill them instead of letting them ask questions. The red tattoo on his forehead was like a burden to him, for it was the Japanese sign of “Love”. But that was quite ironic, he thought, since no one actually loved him.

 

“Why can’t anyone show me…what it’s like to live?” he constantly thought. “Why isn’t there anyone…kind enough…to tell me that? The only one that…feels the way I do…is that brat Uzumaki! But why? Why does he feel that way? He, at least, have some friends…” Gaara kept thinking until he felt something touch his feet.

 

“Hmm?” he looked down, and noticed something buried under the sand. He scoffed, and aimed his hand at the object. The sand around it started to move away, and shot up the object from the ground. Gaara cached it, and examined it. It was a strange device with a tan color and golden trims. “Hmph! Piece of trash!” he was about to throw it away, when the Shukaku’s voice echoed in his head.

 

“NO GAARA! DON’T THROW IT!” it commanded.

 

“Why would I listen to you, freak?!” replied Gaara’s thoughts. “I can do whatever I wish with this!”

 

“THEN YOU WILL LOSE YOUR DREAM!”

 

“What?! What do you know about that?!?”

 

“EVERYTHING…AND A BIT MORE…”

 

“Hmph! So what?! You’ve been sneaking in my mind, huh? BIG DEAL! I don’t see any need of this, so I might just throw it!”

 

“WE’LL JUST SEE ABOUT THAT…”

 

“Oh yeah?!? WATCH ME!!” Gaara was about to throw it away, but quickly halted himself. What if Shukaku was right? What if this device COULD solve his dilemma? He shrugged, and pressed a button. The device lit up, and began to shake violently. “What the?!?” Gaara was shocked, and suddenly, he was dazzled by a bright light. When he looked again, an elder man dressed in a blue suit, grey boots and gloves, a blue hat covering his face, and with a silver walking stick with a red emerald on top of it in his right hand stood in front of Gaara, smirking at him.

 

“Aaaah! It feels so good to be able to move again!” he said relieved, and stretched his back, and a crack emitted from his spine, as it straightened itself. Gaara just stared at him.

 

“Great…” he sighed. “Just great! Here I am, thinking that this…trinket could help me, and I’m left with an old geezer! What a cheap trick! Time to die, old man!” he raised his hand at the man, and sand began to surround him. “SAND BURIAL!” roared Gaara, and the sand covered him. Gaara then clutched his hand. “DESERT COFFIN!” the sand crushed the man, and a splattering noise was heard. Gaara smirked wickedly, but as the sand dispersed, it was nothing left but a few bandages! “WHAT?!” Gaara turned around, and saw the same old man, chuckling at his efforts.

 

“You should learn not to underestimate old men…” he smirked, and pulled away his suit. “NECROPHOBIA!” he revealed a giant rifle which fired a blue electric current at Gaara. He just shrugged, and pressed his palm to the ground. A sand wall rose up and took the hit, as it evaporated along with the blast. Gaara looked at the man, but he now saw his true appearance. He was a mummy, wrapped in countless of bandages with sharp, black claws on his hands and feet. Half his face was covered in bandages, revealing only his left eye and his mouth. His rifle acted like a crutch, as he supported himself to smirk at Gaara. “Now you see my true face…”

 

“Heh. Am I supposed to be scared now? Pfff! Please, don’t make me laugh!” Gaara smirked back. The mummy-creature just cackled a wicked laugh.

 

“Hehahahahaha! You have seen nothing yet! Snake Bandages!” he called out, and stretched his left hand forward, and the bandages wrapped around Gaara in the blink of an eye. Gaara was immobilized, and the mummy pulled him up close. “Now, what’s your name, Partner?”

 

“Partner?! PARTNER?!? I DON’T NEED ANY PARTNERS!” roared Gaara, and the sand slipped into the bandages covering him. It exploded, and let him loose. He noticed that his device was still in his hand. He took a time to absorb the info, and asked, “So, this device means that I’m your partner?”

 

“Correct…” the mummy nodded in reply.

 

“Very well…I’m Gaara of The Desert! And who are you, freak-face?”

 

“I am your humble servant…Mummymon…”

As usual, Inuzuka Kiba woke up of someone slobbering his face with a happy yapping.

 

“Hahaha, Akamaru!” he laughed, as he saw a small, light brown dog on his chest, licking his face and yapping playfully. “You little rascal, Hahaha!” Kiba sat up and cuddled with Akamaru a bit. Then he walked up to his closet, his little companion running between his legs in excitement. “Hehe, stop it Akamaru!” he snickered, as he put on a grey jacket with a hoodie, which he used to cover his black, ruffled hair, making it look like a mane. He had red tattoo stripes on the cheeks that looked like claws, making him look ‘wilder’ somehow. He smirked at his mirror image. “Heh! Haven’t looked better in ages!” he said, as he lifted up Akamaru and walked out of his room. Outside, he met one of his team members. It was a shy girl, dressed in her clan’s traditional training suit, blue jeans, and with a necklace around her neck. Her blue hair shined like diamonds, and her white eyes seemed to be blind, although that was just because of her blood-line, the Hyuuga Clan.

 

“A-Aah! H-Hi…Inuzuka…” she stuttered. “Good morning!”

 

“Morning, Hinata!” replied Kiba. “You ready for today’s mission?”

 

“Y-Yeah…almost…” Hinata fumbled with her necklace, and revealed a small device. It was colored white with pink trims. Kiba noticed it and looked at it.

 

“What’s this?” he asked demandingly. Hinata pulled it inside her suit.

 

“N-Nothing!” she replied hastily.

 

“C’mon now, Hinata! Let me at least LOOK at it!”

 

“O-Ok then…but don’t break it!”

 

“Hey, I’ll be gentle! Trust me!”

 

Hinata nodded, and gave Kiba her necklace. Kiba examined the device, close-up and from a distance.

 

“Hmmmm? This is weird. I can swear that I have such a device!”

 

“Really?” asked Hinata.

 

“Well, look here…” Kiba pulled out something from his pocket, which turned out to be a similar device, only black with grey trims. “What are they?”

 

“I don’t have a clue…”

 

“Well, me neither! Hey! Wonder what happens if we press the buttons?” he smirked a bit.

 

“Let’s try it!” said Hinata, and pulled out her device.

 

“OK!” Kiba pressed down a button on his device, and in the same moment, Hinata did the same. Their devices started to glow, and then, a blinding flash erupted, and Hinata screamed a bit. As the light faded, Kiba and Hinata were stunned to see two creatures in front of them. One of them looked like a wolf cub, except that it stood upright. It had yellow skin, a blue-striped fur on top of itself, a strange pattern on its belly, and a sharp, yellow horn on its forehead. The other one was a feline cat with white fur, blue eyes, and with claw-gloves on its hands. On its long, purple-striped tail hanged a collar.

 

“Hiya!” they both said in unison.

 

“H-Huh?!” Kiba stood up and examined the creatures. “What and Who the hell are you?!”

 

“I’m Gabumon!” replied the wolf cub. “And I’m Gatomon!” the cat filled in.

 

“G-Gabumon? Gatomon? Whatever, you look weird!”

 

“Same goes for you, Partner!” replied Gabumon, snickering under his breath.

 

“W-What?! Partners?! But I already got Akamaru!”

 

“Well, why can’t you have both of us as partners?” asked Gabumon. “I think it will be great!”

 

“Well, hehe, OK!” replied Kiba, grinning happily. Akamaru jumped down and ran up to Gabumon, yapping happily and licking his face.

 

“Hahaha, easy, easy little fella! Hahaha!” Gabumon laughed. In the meantime, Gatomon walked up to Hinata.

 

“I believe you know what I’m going to say?” she asked. Hinata nodded.

 

“You’re my…partner, right?” she replied uncertainly.

 

“Yup!” Gatomon smiled at her. “You ok? You look sad.”

 

“It’s nothing…this is how I always look…”

 

“I see. Nice outfit! Can I have one too?”

 

“W-Well…sure! I’ll ask my dad to make one!” at those words, Gatomon’s face shined up, and she jumped up in Hinata’s arms and cuddled up to her, purring happily. Hinata smiled and stroke her on the head. “You’re so cute…” she sighed.

 

“I am, right?” Gatomon replied, and stretched her back, yawning a bit. “Good night…” she smiled, and went asleep. Gabumon yawned as well.

 

“Uh, Kiba? You wouldn’t happen to have a spare bed?” he asked.

 

“Sure I got!” replied Kiba. “But why would you sleep now? It’s in the middle of the morning!”

 

“Well, we’ve been travelling so far to find you, and we’re dead tired!” replied Gabumon, yawning again.

 

“Hehe, okay then! Have my bed! I’m going out, anyways! There’s some food in the fridge, so suit yourself!” Kiba smiled. Gabumon smiled back and went inside, laid down on the bed, and started to sleep. Hinata went inside, and laid down Gatomon beside him. They cuddled up to each other, and dreamed happy dreams…

Inside his room, Nara Shikamaru was playing a game of Chess all by himself. His room was a very simple one, with wooden bamboo walls, a fan in the ceiling, and a bed with a nightstand beside it.

 

“What a drag…” he sighed for himself, and made a move. “Check Mate! Again…” he stood up from his desk and looked around. His room was still the same. He took a deep breath, and sighed again. He looked outside his window. Everything was normal for his eyes, except that Naruto was accompanied with a weird, human fox, and had a device clipped around his belt. “W-What?! What is that?” Shikamaru gasped from his room, and looked at the fox-creature. He was amazed at it, as he had not seen anything like it. A light suddenly shined up behind him, and a giggle was heard thereafter. Shikamaru hesitated, and then turned around. He saw a small, humanoid dragon with blue skin, white on the belly, and a yellow V on its forehead jumping up and down in his bed. Beside him was something that looked like an egg with a spike sticking out of it. It had a sun carved into it.

 

“Hahaha! Hiya!” the creature beamed happily, a wide smile on his face. “Your bed is bouncy!”

 

“Hey! Who are you?! And get off my bed!” Shikamaru tried to catch the creature, but it just giggled and jumped off the bed, and made Shikamaru crash head first into it.

 

“Na na nanaaaa na! You can’t catch me!” it giggled mockingly, as it grabbed the egg and jumped up on the desk.

 

“GET BACK HERE!” roared Shikamaru, but the creature just jumped away again, and ran towards the door. “OH NO YOU DON’T!” Shikamaru made a sign with his hands, and his shadow stretched out, catching the creature’s shadow. “Shadow Possession Success!” said Shikamaru proudly. The creature was unable to move. Shikamaru had taken control of his shadow, and therefore, his movements.

 

“W-What?! Hey, not fair! Get me loose!” the creature complained. “Pllllleeeeeaaaaaassssseeeeeee?” it looked at Shikamaru with begging puppy-eyes.

 

“Oh, stop it!” Shikamaru snarled, but the creature kept looking at him. “Come on, cut it out!” the creature teared its eyes, and looked more irresistible. “Aaaaw……ok then! But you’ll better behave!” Shikamaru made his shadow let go of the creature, and it went back to him.

 

“Yay!” the creature giggled, and ran up to Shikamaru, hugging him tightly.

 

“Hey, what’s the big idea?! Lemme go!”

 

“Nu uh! You’re my Partner!”

 

“What?! You gotta be kiddin’ me!”

 

“Nope! You and I are partners! It’s destined, or something like that……so, what’s your name?”

 

“Well…my name is Nara Shikamaru.”

 

“Cool! My name is Veemon!”

 

“Veemon? Whatever…” Shikamaru went over to his bed and lay down, trying to take a nap. But Veemon’s incessant babbling and gibbering about his adventures began to annoy him. “Is it possible for you to SHUT THE F*CK UP FOR TEN, FRICKIN’ SECONDS?!?” he shouted, and sat up in his bed, his gaze fixed at the poor Veemon.

 

“S-Sorry…” he whimpered, and some tears fell from his eyes. “It’s just that…I did never have…any friends…” he sat down on the floor, and looked down on it. “I…I just thought that…you would be…m-my friend. B-But all I seem to do is…to make people mad!” he started to cry.

 

“H-Hey! N-No please! Don’t cry, Veemon! I didn’t mean to…” Shikamaru stuttered, but then, he sighed, picked up Veemon and sat him down on his lap. “C’mon now, crybaby! I’m here for ya!” he hugged Veemon tightly. Veemon sniffled a bit, wiped out his tears, and hugged Shikamaru.

 

“T-Thanks…” he stuttered in reply. “You and I…we’ll be best buddies…right?”

 

“Sure, Veemon. Best friends forever…”

[spoiler=Chapter 2: The Meeting][align=center]Chapter 2: The Meeting

 

Naruto was still snoring loudly in his bed, refusing to let anything wake him up. Renamon stood in the entrance to his bedroom and simply shook her head.

 

"Man......for a Human, he sure sleeps like a Phascomon..." she sighed for herself, and stepped up to Naruto. She suddenly pulled up a megaphone out of nowhere, and put it to Naruto's ear. "HEY, YOU!!! IT'S TIME TO WAKE UP!!" she shouted into it, and Naruto flew straight up out of the bed and crashed his head into the roof.

 

"WAAAAAH!!! RENA-CHAN! DON'T DO THAT!" he shouted from the upper floor, and pulled himself out, crashing down on the floor. "OW!" he grumbled and stood up.

 

"Looks like you listened for once..." Renamon said, smirking as she dusted him off. "You alright?"

 

"I'm fine, Rena-chan..." Naruto muttered. "I'm just tired of all those homework assignments!" he pointed to his desk, which was filled with scrolls, all cluttered with answers to seemingly impossible questions.

 

"Well, good that you finished them!" said Renamon, welling up with pride that her partner was obedient to do his homework.

 

"Nah, not a big deal, Rena-chan! Now then, off to the Academy!" he grinned, and went outside. Renamon followed him, as they leaped from one rooftop to the other. Naruto suddenly stopped, and looked to the rising sun. Renamon stood beside him, and looked as well.

 

"What is it, Naruto?" she asked him.

 

"Nothing..." he replied, a little sad, and sat down on the roof. Renamon sat beside him, stroking his hair. "It's just that...I feel so lonely..."

 

"What? Nonsense!" replied Renamon. "You got me! And you got Kakashi-Sensei, Sasuke-kun, and Sakura-chan! You're Team 7, remember? You're like family!"

 

"Yeah, but I wish that the entire village could act that way..." replied Naruto, and leaned towards Renamon, lying on her lap. "Everyone just thinks I'm a monster that should be killed. It's unfair!" a small tear fell from his eye, and landed on the roof with a small drip. Renamon looked at the poor boy, and felt sad as well. She fondled Naruto's cheek, and looked at the sun.

 

"I know it's unfair..." she replied. "I've been...feeling the same thing...ever since we got here. The people just...glance at me, and turn their heads away like they never saw me. It's like they saw me as that...Kyuubi's daughter, or something..." she turned her head down, and Naruto looked up on her. He felt a water drop on his face, only to realise that it was a tear. Renamon was crying too. He sat up, and looked her straight into the eyes.

 

"Rena-chan...I know how you feel, as much as you know how I feel..." he said in a calm tone. "But we must be strong! Let's face those stupid villagers, and all their prejudices...together! As partners!" this time, it was Naruto's turn to suprise Renamon with a hug. Renamon hugged Naruto back.

 

"Thank you...once more..." she sighed, and they looked at each other. "Now, we better be going to the academy..."

 

"Right! And Rena-chan? Don't forget to smile!" Naruto smiled at her, and she smiled back.

 

"Hehehe, right!"

 

"Alright! Let's go!" Naruto leaped towards the Ninja Academy, with Renamon right behind him...

"C'mon! C'mon! You two are gonna be late!!"

 

Gabumon and Gatomon were trying to wake up their Partners, Kiba and Hinata, who were so tired after yesterday's mission, they just fell asleep on the sofa. They both grumbled and yawned as they got up.

 

"A'ight! A'ight!! We're up!" replied Kiba, who was immidiently hugged By Gabumon. He smirked and hugged his partner back. Gatomon jumped up in Hinata's knee, rubbing her head to her chest and purring happily. Hinata smiled and stroke Gatomon's body, playfully scratching her chin, which made her pur even happier.

 

"Hehe, you guys are sure cute!" Hinata smiled, laughing a bit.

 

"Thank you!" replied Gatomon, lying down on her lap, and rolled over on her back. Hinata smiled and rubbed her belly. "O-Oooh! R-Right! Little more to the left! A little higher...theeeere, aaaaaahhhh......." Gatomon smiled and moaned happily.

 

"You sure like those belly rubs I give you, right?" asked Hinata.

 

"I sure do..." Gatomon sighed dreamingly.

 

"Hey now! What were you saying earlier?" Kiba asked Gabumon.

 

"Oh, right! You guys are gonna be late to the Academy!" said Gabumon, and pulled Kiba out of the sofa. "C'mon!"

 

"Right! Hinata, let's go!" said Kiba. Hinata took Gatomon in her arms and stood up.

 

"O-Ok!" she said, and followed Kiba and Gabumon. They ran across the streets, as they got closer to the academy. What they didn't expect was that two others were on their way too. And with a loud "CRASH!", Kiba, Hinata, Naruto and Shikamaru bumped into eachother and landed on the ground.

 

"Owowowowowowow...." they all moaned, as they got up.

 

"H-Hey!" Naruto looked at Kiba, Hinata, and Shikamaru carrying their partners. "You got those kinda creatures too!"

 

"What?" Kiba looked around. "You don't have one."

 

"He sure does!" a voice behind Naruto replied, and Renamon appeared in a cloud of leaves. "I am Renamon, but little Charmy here calls me Rena-chan!"

 

"Aaaw, Rena-chan! Stop it!" Naruto blushed a bit. "So, what are those called?"

 

"Well, this furball here is called Gabumon!" replied Kiba, and put Gabumon down, as he walked up to Renamon and introduced himself.

 

"And this is Gatomon!" said Hinata, and held up Gatomon. Shikamaru picked out Veemon from his backpack, and he immidiently began to squirm and shake, trying to get free and run around.

 

"And this irritating bugger is Veemon..." sighed Shikamaru. Suddenly, Veemon squirmed free, and landed on the ground, as he started to run around and pretending he was a ninja.

 

"HAHAHAHAHAHA!! He sure if playful!" laughed Naruto, and Renamon couldn't help but to chuckle a bit.

 

"Wheeeeeeeee!!! Hahahahahaha, this is a fun place!" giggled Veemon, as he ran around and played. Shikamaru just sighed, and went up to him, picking him up and hugged him.

 

"It sure is, right?" he said, rubbing Veemon's head. "Now you better hide with Rena-chan and the others, because we got our lessons now..." Veemon giggled and nodded. Shikamaru smiled and put him down. He ran up to Renamon and the others, as the ninjas said goodbye to their Partners, promising to return at the end of class...

As Naruto and the others were on their class, Veemon, Gabumon and Gatomon ran around and played a game of Tag. Renamon just lied on the grass and looked into the beautiful blue sky, not a single cloud in sight. She sighed at the beautiful sight, and looked at her side. A small, red flower was there. She picked it up, and observed it. The petals glistered a bit of the morning moisture, and it waved with the silent wind. Gatomon looked at Renamon, and walked up to her.

 

"What's wrong, Rena-chan?" she asked her, sitting down next to her. "Why won't you play with us?" Renamon looked at Gatomon.

 

"Oh, nothing..." she replied. "It's just that I'm kinda...suprised that we're here. I mean...the Digidestined I've heard of were regular children, not some kind of super ninjas! It's just so confusing..."

 

"But you and Naruto seem to get along?"

 

"Yeah. That's because we've experienced the same things here in the village. Same kind of hatred being thrown at our faces...same prejudice that marks us as 'Bad Guys'...same...heartlessness..."

 

"Oh...sorry, Rena-chan..."

 

"It's ok, Gatomon...I just feel that some people can be so...cruel..." she had a tear in her eye, but she wiped it out.

 

"I know..." replied Gatomon, and as Renamon sat up, she sat on her lap. "But, waht did you do before you met Naruto?"

 

"Well, I...didn't do anything special. Just living in the Digital World, I guess. Oh, I used to play flute!"

 

"Really?! Show me!"

 

"Ok, I think I still got it..." she looked in her gloves, and reached for something, which turned out to be a thin, handmade flute. "Ah! Here it is!" she smiled, and put her lips to the flute's top end, and began to play...

 

 

As Renamon played the flute, a strange energy surrounded her like a blue Aura, and the grass and leaves around her began to swirl around her. Gatomon stepped back a bit, and was amazed of what was happening. When Renamon eventually stopped playing, the aura fainted, and she opened her eyes.

 

"Wooooow..." gasped Gatomon. "Amazing! You're talented!" Renamon smiled at the comforting words.

 

"Thank you, Gatomon." she looked at her flute, and then put it back into her glove. "I maybe am talented!" in that moment, Naruto and the others rushed outside.

 

"Rena-chan!" Naruto ran up to her and hugged her. "Are you ok?!" Renamon just smiled and hugged him back.

 

"I'm fine, Naruto..." she replied, and stood up. "Did you have fun at the Academy?"

 

"It's great, as usual!" he replied. "Well...what should we do now?"

 

"Well, why not go to Ichiraku?"

 

"Sounds GREAT!"

As they were at Ichiraku Ramen Shop, all eight of them sat and ate a bowl of Ramen.

 

"Mmmmmmm!! Delicious!" Naruto said as usual.

 

"I know, but you really need to have some healthier food..." replied Renamon. She was barely eating her Ramen. Something she had remembered when she was playing the flute made her thoughts float elsewhere.

 

"Rena-chan?" asked Hinata. "What's wrong, Rena-chan?"

 

"N-Nothing..." she replied, and pushed away her Ramen plate. "I-I need to be alone..." she stood up and walked away. Naruto was about to follow her, but then respected that she wanted to be alone. In the meantime, Renamon stood behind a house, and pulled out her flute. She remembered now. This flute was a gift from her mother, a Taomon. A small tear flowed from her cheek, but to her fears, something wiped it out! She flipped backwards, landed a few metres away, though still out of Naruto's and the other's sight, and saw her attacker, a Mummymon.

 

"A Mummymon, here?!" she snarled, and calmed herself. "What are you doing here?" the Mummymon just smirked through his bandages.

 

"I'm here on my master's behalf!" he replied. "The great Gaara of The Desert! He told me that I would find the Kyuubi's Partner here..."

 

"How do you know about the Kyuubi?!"

 

"Don't be stupid, Renamon. My master has taught me about it, but that's not the important part here. What is important, is that I know a thing about your mother..." Renamon froze at that word.

 

"Mother..." she gasped. "WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT HER?!?"

 

"Easy now..." replied Mummymon. "All I know it that she was captured by some 'Orochimaru' guy and his partner, a Orochimon. She is fine, I presume, but I don't know more than my Master does..."

 

"I'll save her then!"

 

"I'm afraid that I, my master, and his friends will make it...difficult for you, but sure, try! Now then...farewell!" and with that, Mummymon dispersed in a bandage cloud. Renamon was lef shocked and confused. Her mother was alive? But how?! She needed time to think, so she went back to Naruto and the others, happily eating her Ramen. If they asked her about what had happened, she told them 'Oh nothing!', and smiled innocently. But she knew that one, certain blond one would find out later that night...

As the day ended, darkness crept upon the lands, and night arrived shortly. The town streets were still lit up by several lights, and the guards patrolled the walls and guarded the gate. Occasionally, a bird was heard chirping in the trees, nothing more. On this beautiful night, Renamon sat on the roof, looking into the sky as she lied down. The stars glimmered like a sea of diamonds, and the view was breathtaking.

 

"Wow......" sighed Renamon. "To believe that the Human World was as beautiful as the Digi-World......"

 

"Rena-chan!" Naruto appeared next to Renamon, and lied down next to her. "Is there something wrong?"

 

"N-No...nothing..."

 

"I know you're not happy, Rena-chan...tell me, what is it?"

 

"I am happy!"

 

"Tell...me."

 

"Fine..." Renamon sighed, and looked at Naruto with a smile. "You are a mind reader, right? Anyways, there's something I'd like to tell you about..."

 

"What is it?" Naruto held Renamon's hand. "I promise, I won't tell others if you don't want to." Renamon smiled again at those words.

 

"Well, thanks! Now then, you ever wondered where I came from?" Naruto nodded. "Well, I come from a world called the Digi-World. Where thousands, maybe millions of Digimon like me live in peace and harmony with eachother. Well, occasionally, there's been evil Digimon trying to take it over, but we've always managed to hold them at bay! But, there was this...one time when..."

 

"When what? What happened, Rena-chan?"

 

"W-Well..." Renamon stuttered. Naruto looked at her, and noticed she was sad. "M-My family...w-was killed!" she bursted into tears, and laid down on Naruto's lap, crying loudly. "IT WAS SO AWFUL!!"

 

"Whoa! Rena-chan!" Naruto was shocked. He stroke Renamon on the head. "That's just...terrible!" Renamon sniffled a bit, looked at him, and nodded.

 

"It is..." she sighed. "My family...was everything for me...they loved me, took care of me, and now......they're all dead!"

 

"I understand...it must feel terrible. My parents are dead too..."

 

"No! That's so horrible!"

 

"Yeah..." Naruto stood up, and helped Renamon up. "But now, Rena-chan...we should get some sleep."

 

"Right!" Renamon nodded, and was about to jump down from the roof, but she took a last look on the stars first, then jumped down to Naruto's balcony. She walked into his room, and was about to go into the living room and sleep on the couch as usual, when Naruto put his hand on her shoulder.

 

"Hey, Rena-chan?" he asked. "If you'd like to, you can sleep with me! But only this night, ok?"

 

"Ok......thanks, I guess!" Renamon lied down in the soft, warm bed, and Naruto laid next to her. He immidiently closed his eyes and started to sleep, but Renamon just lied and looked at him. "He's hosted by a demon...yet he's so...kind, and warm..." she thought. Then, her eyelids grew heavy, and she fell asleep......

Next day, Renamon and Naruto were up early, and as soon as they finished their breakfast, Renamon took Naruto outside.

 

"What now, Rena-chan?" asked Naruto. Renamon just smirked and cracked her knuckles.

 

"I want you and I to train!" she replied, and put her fists up. "C'mon! Don't be afraid to hit me just because I'm your Partner!" Naruto hesitated, but then prepared to fight.

 

"Alright!" he shouted, and charged at Renamon. He punched at her, but she dodged and leaped behind him, grabbing his leg and throwing him up in the air.

 

"Fox-Leaf Arrowhead!" she called out, and several small shards of diamond charged at Naruto.

 

"Kage Bunshin No Jutsu!" called Naruto, and several clones of himself popped up from nowhere. They landed and charged at Renamon, drawing their Kunai's. Renamon just smirked, and jumped into mid-air.

 

"Wisteria Punch!" her hands and feet glowed with blue flames, and she punched and kicked around her, as several clones were destroyed. The real Naruto, however, was hit in the face, and received a second degree burn, as he flew into a rock and banged his head in it, and a cartoonish bump appeared. Renamon smirked. "Hehe, looks like you're growing lazy!"

 

"Hey, cut it out, Rena-chan!" growled Naruto, and rubbed out his bump. He made a hand sign. "Kage Bunshin No Jutsu!" clones appeared again, and two behind Renamon grabbed her, refusing to let go. Another clone stood behind Naruto, as he stretched his hand to it. It began to roll it's hands over his, and a blue ball slowly formed in his palm. "Get ready!" he shouted, as the clone disappeared, and Naruto charged at Renamon, lunging the sphere at her. "RASENGAN!" the ball hit her, but in an instant, she was replaced by a log! She appeared behind Naruto.

 

"Heh, too bad! Wisteria Punch!" she called again, and kicked Naruto across the face, making him spin and land on the ground. She landed, and her hands and feet stopped glowing. She smirked as she went over to Naruto and helped him up.

 

"Wow! To think that you would be able to use a Substitution Jutsu!" he gasped.

 

"Yeah, I know! So, what now then?"

 

"Well...what about meeting Kiba and Hinata?"

 

"Sounds great!"

 

They both nodded, and leaped into the village.

As Kiba and Hinata were walking down the streets of Konoha Village, they received strange looks at both themselves and their Digimon partners.

 

"Why are they staring at us, Kiba?" asked Gabumon. "Have they never seen a Digimon before?"

 

"Well, hehe, no I don't think they've seen a...Digimon?" Kiba was confused. "Is that what you're called?"

 

"Well, yeah! Didn't you know?"

 

"Actually, no..."

 

"Well, why did you call us, if you don't know about Digimon?"

 

"Hey, we didn't 'call' you!" snarled Kiba, a bit offended. "We just pressed this button, and BANG! There you were! Don't try to blame US for something we don't know!"

 

"Hey, I wasn't blaming you! I just said that you don't have to act like a curious baby and press every button you see!"

 

"HEY! TAKE THAT BACK!!"

 

"NO WAY, MEANIE FACE!"

 

Kiba's and Gabumon's eyes were fixed at eachother, and fire seemed to burn around them. Hinata and Gatomon just sighed, and Hinata stroke Gatomon's tail.

 

"They sure get along well, eh Hinata?" asked Gatomon ironically.

 

"Sure seems so..." replied Hinata, and continued to stroke Gatomon's back, and she stretched it to make the stroking more pleasant.

 

"Aaah...It's soooo good to be a Cat Digimon!" she moaned happily. In that moment, Naruto and Renamon appeared.

 

"Hey guys!" Naruto beamed happily. He looked at Kiba and Gabumon, who gave eachother a disrespectful "Hmpf!" and turned eachothers backs. "What's up with them?"

 

"Just a little argue..." replied Gatomon, still moaning in delight of Hinata's back-rubs.

 

"Hiya, Hinata-chan!" Naruto smiled.

 

"Oh, hi Naruto!" replied Hinata. "Are you and Rena-chan ok?"

 

"We're finer than ever!" replied Renamon, rubbing Naruto's head.

 

"Haha, Rena-chan! Stop it!" chuckled Naruto. "That tickles!"

 

"So, what will we do now?" asked Hinata.

 

"First, let's try to make Kiba and Gabumon friends again, eh?" suggested Renamon.

Gaara and Mummymon were at the outskirts of the Konoha Village. Thanks to Mummymon's memory, they found it relatively easy.

 

"So...they have...'Digimon' too?" asked Gaara.

 

"Yes, Master." replied Mummymon, now transformed to the old man that Gaara first saw when he met him. "That Jinkurichi kiddo had a Renamon, but that's all I know. His friends probably have Digitama as well..."

 

"But I believe that you will be able to take them out?"

 

"Hehehe, of course! They're only wimpering Rookie's and only ONE Champion! I'm an Ultimate Level!"

 

"Good..." Gaara was about to continue, but suddenly, he felt like the tattoo on his forehead was on fire, and he grabbed his head in pain. "Aaagh!!"

 

"What's wrong Master?!" Mummymon supported Gaara, but he pushed away his partner.

 

"Stay away from me!" he groaned. "I don't need any help!" Mummymon frowned a bit.

 

"You are clearly in pain, Master. Is there something I can..."

 

"SHUT UP!!" Gaara whipped up some sand and smashed it into Mummymon. He staggered backwards, holding his chest in pain.

 

"G-Gaah! M-Master!" he growled in pain.

 

"W-What?" Gaara came to his senses. "S-Sorry...I just...uugh...nevermind! Let's go!" Mummymon nodded, and they disappeared in a sand cloud...

Naruto and Renamon were finally able to keep Gabumon and Kiba from ripping eachother to shreds, and they were now friends again, it seemed.

 

"Pwew!" Naruto wiped some sweat from his forehead. "You two are sure not so easy to separate when argueing!"

 

"Well, the furball started it!" replied Kiba, still a bit mad. Gabumon frowned at him, but decided not to argue again. "Now, what will we do?"

 

"Well..." Naruto started, but then, the ground shook a bit. "Waah! What was that?!" the ground rumbled even more, and sand bursted out through the cracks. It laid aroun the six of them, and from the sand heap emerged Gaara.

 

"G-Gaara!" shouted Hinata. Gaara grinned at them.

 

"Yes, it's me..." he replied coldly. "And I am here to kill you!" Renamon, Gabumon and Gatomon ran up in front of their partners.

 

"Rena-chan! Stand back! We'll take care of him!" said Naruto. Renamon shook her head.

 

"It's not that..." she replied, and saw the sand shift next to Gaara. It grew into a humanoid shape, and then shattered, revealing Mummymon's hideous true appearence. He grinned at the Digitama's and cackled.

 

"Hehehehehe! You'll be dead before I even touch you!" he cackled, and aimed his rifle at Renamon. "Necrophobia!" an ectoplasmic blast emerged from the rifle, and hit Renamon, crashing her into a house.

 

"RENA-CHAN!" Naruto ran after her, but Mummymon halted him by firing his rifle at him, sending continous ectoplasma beams after him. Naruto dodged, and Mummymon turned to the others, but they dodged too. Gaara was quick, and used his sand to lash at them like whips. Hinata dodged with Gatomon, so did Gabumon. But Kiba was suddenly hit by Mummymon's Necrophobia attack.

 

"GAAH!!"

 

"KIBA!" shouted Gabumon, and looked at Mummymon with an angry look. "DAMN MONSTER! BLUE BLASTER!" a beam of water shot from his mouth and hit Mummymon, but he did not seem to be affected.

 

"Hehahahaha! What's that supposed to be? Snake Bandages!" he stretched out his other hand, and bandages strapped around Gabumon and Gatomon, and he lifted them into the air, and smashed them to the ground.

 

"AAH!"

 

AGH! K-KIBA! HELP ME!!" Kiba stood up and ran on all four at Mummymon.

 

"LET THEM GO!!" he roared, and slashed off the bandages. "NOW AKAMARU!" Akamaru, who had followed Kiba, yapped in agreement, and turned to a copy of Kiba!

 

"Mummymon! Look out! It's the Man-Beast Taijutsu!" Gaara warned, but too late. Kiba and the Kiba-clone charged at Mummymon, jumped at him, and started to spin like shredders.

 

"MAN-BEAST TAIJUTSU SECRET TECHNIQUE: FANG-OVER-FANG!" both the spinning ninjas hit Mummymon, and tore up a hole in his fragile bandages and tissue. As they landed at the other side, Akamaru returned to a dog. Kiba smirked and looked around, but was terrified as he saw Mummymon regenerate the wound! "What the hell?!?"

 

"Heheheeeee...it will take more than that to stop me!" he cackled, and aimed his rifle at Kiba. But then, Gabumon went in the way.

 

"NO! STAY AWAY FROM HIM!" he shouted, and in that moment, Kiba's device began to glow.

 

"Initiate: Digivolution." it responded in a robotic tone. Kiba was confused, but Gabumon was now surrounded in a white light, and started to glow.

 

"Gabumon! Digivolve to.........GARURUMON!"

 

In front of Kiba was now a giant, white and blue-stribed wolf, and it growled at Mummymon and Gaara.

 

"W-Whaaa!?! G-Gabumon?! Is that...you?!" Kiba stuttered. The wolf looked at him and smirked.

 

"Hehehe, of course it's me, Kiba!" it replied. "But now, I'm Garurumon!"

 

"Garurumon?"

 

"Yep! Now, let's settle a score!" Garurumon charged up a blue energy in his mouth, and opened it. "HOWLING BLASTER!" an icy vapor blasted from his mouth, straight at Mummymon. He was frozen in place. "NOW, RENAMON!" Garurumon commanded, and in quick response, Renamon sprang up and ran up to Mummymon.

 

"WISTERIA PUNCH!" her hands and feet were once again covered in blue flames, and she kicked Mummymon in the chest. He flied backwards and crashed into a tree, and Renamon landed in front of Gaara. "Now then...you're next!"

 

"Hehehe, I wouldn't think so!" replied Gaara, and dispersed into sand. Mummymon turned to sand as well, revealing it was a fake.

 

"Dammit! He used Sand Clones all along!" groaned Kiba, as Garurumon reverted to Gabumon. "You were awesome!" he lifed up Gabumon and cuddled him. Hinata ran up to Gatomon and took care of her. The battle was won, but not the inevitable war...

As usual, Kankuro were strolling down the streets of the Sand Village. He was looking after his brother Gaara. Ever since he had found a strange device, he had begun to act stranger than usual, trying to keep himself away from Kankuro as much as possible.

 

"Gaah! I can't stand this!" he groaned, as he had no one to talk to but his puppet Crow, who was on his back with it's arms wriggling at the whip of Kankuro's fingers, as he tried to make it look alive. "Gaara is my brother! He should tell me if something is wrong with him! But NOOOOO, he has to be the weird guy and just go poof into the air! GAAH!" he kicked up a sand cloud into the air, mad at his brother's sudden disappearing. With a smooth gust in the wind, Kankuro saw Temari gliding towards him on her fan. She wrapped it up and landed on the ground.

 

"What's up, Kankuro?" she asked him.

 

"Bah! Nothing, Temari..." he grumbled. "Just that Gaara is pissing me off! He leaves us here, not a single goodbye, and with no caring about us!" Temari sighed at Kankuro's harsh words.

 

"Well, you of all should know that's how Gaara is like!" she retorted. "Here one day, gone the other!"

 

"Well, but still!"

 

"Oh, stop being such a baby, Kankuro!" Temari put her hand on Kankuro's shoulder. "He'll come back!"

 

"Heh, I know..." replied Kankuro. "It's just that...OOW!" he was interrupted by a small device bumping his head. Temari saw another device falling towards her, but she extended her fan and catched it before it hit her.

 

"What are these?" she said confused, and looked at her device. It was coloured lavendel with red on the edges. Kankuro picked up his, and it had a brown color with a tan edge.

 

"I don't know, but it hurt!" groaned Kankuro. "This is just rubbish!"

 

"Well, I'm gonna find out what they can do!" replied Temari, and pressed down a button. Kankuro shrugged and pressed a button on his. The devices began to glow, and a blinding flash erupted. When Kankuro and Temari looked again, two weird creatures stood in front of them. One of them was a hawk-looking bird, his feathers coloured red on his body and white on the head and face. On his hands grew five, black talons which it bended like fingers. He had a black belt around his head with a red feather strapped in it, and his yellow beak seemed to smile at Temari. Kankuro had his eyes on a mechanical puppet-creature, dressed in a blue pair of pants with leashes across it's shoulders holding them up. It's cogwheels were visible through it's chest, spinning and working. It's joints were mechanical, and red strings were attached to it's feet and hands, and the strings were attached to a marionette handle on it's back. It grinned a wicked, childish grin at Kankuro.

 

"H-Huh?! Who and WHAT the heck are you?!" shouted Kankuro.

 

"Hehehe, he doesn't know who we are, eh Hawkmon?" snickered the puppet.

 

"I guess not..." sighed the hawk, apparently called 'Hawkmon'.

 

"Hawkmon?" asked Temari, as she stood up and wrapped up her fan. "What's that for a creature?"

 

"Well, it's me, my fair lady..." the Hawkmon replied, bowing down in a gentlemanish manner.

 

"Well, aren't you a little Prince Charmy!" chuckled Temari. "I'm Temari, and this is Kankuro!"

 

"Heh, hi..." replied Kankuro, still staring at the puppet. "And you are...?"

 

"You're looking at one of the Dark Masters, punk!" replied the puppet.

 

"You mean that you USED to be a Dark Master..." squawked Hawkmon.

 

"HEY! Cram your beak or I'll turn you into a deep-fried chicken!" growled the puppet and aimed his hammer at Hawkmon.

 

"Cram it BOTH of you!" snarled Kankuro. "Now, who are you?!"

 

"Hmpf! The name's Puppetmon, punk!" replied Puppetmon, and looked at Kankuro with a devilish grin. Kankuro grinned back.

 

"Now, what was that talk about a Dark Master?"

 

"Well, not that a Human should know about it, but when I lived, there used to be four powerful Digimon including me that ruled a place called the Digi World! The other three were MetalSeadramon, Machinedramon, and Piedmon!"

 

"I see...so, why are you here, if you now live in this 'Digi World'?" asked Temari.

 

"Well, that's because we're chosen to be your partners!" replied Hawkmon, and pointed at Temari's device. "See that? That's a Digivice, a sort of device that allows a Human and Digimon to bond. The Human becomes the Digimon's master, and we follow your orders! Well, maybe not that crazed Pinocchio copy..."

 

"CRAM IT HAWKMON!" shouted Puppetmon. Kankuro held him by his pants as he was about to pummel Hawkmon.

 

"M-Man! You are sure weird, ya know!" he groaned as Puppetmon calmed down.

 

"Now then, Kankuro. You spoke of your brother acting strange?" asked Hawkmon. "And that he fumbled with some kind of device?"

 

"Heh, hell yeah! I'm starting to suspect that he's got a Digimon too!"

 

"Well, he could have, since I noticed a Mummymon disappearing into thin air the other day in the Digi World!"

 

"Well, we should find him!" replied Temari. Hawkmon, Kankuro and Puppetmon nodded, and they hurried off to find Gaara somehow...

 

==Meanwhile==

 

Back in Konoha Village, Kiba, Hinata, and Naruto had been taken to the Hokage Centre for interrogation.

 

"But Lady Tsunade! It really WAS Gaara, and these buggers were just defending us!" Kiba complained.

 

"It's not of my concern whether they defended you or not, Inuzuka..." Tsunade replied. "What IS of my concern is to know what they are! Now...if you would please leave..." the others nodded, and stood up from their chairs. "BUT, you will leave your...creatures here...I need to speak to them."

 

"What?!" Naruto glared at Tsunade. "But Lady Tsunade! Rena-chan has never been without me! She might be scared!"

 

"Well, then it's time she started to get use to it! Now, get out of my sight, Uzumaki!"

 

"NO! Not until I'm allowed to be with Rena-chan!"

 

"I already told you, the interrogation is for the creatures, and no one else will are allowed to hear it!"

 

"I DON'T GIVE A DAMN!!!!" roared Naruto, and slammed his fists into Tsunade's desk, which made two large holes in it. "She's my partner!! And since we've gone through the same things, we're like family too!! And if there's one thing I've heard right, that is that family stick together, no matter what!! I won't leave this room until Rena-chan is allowed the same!"

 

Renamon, who was along with Gabumon and Gatomon in the room next door, overheard Naruto's demands, and smiled. To believe that Naruto cared so much about her. A tear of happiness fell from her eye, and she whispered, "Thank you, Naruto..."

 

"Hmpf...fine, you can stay..." Tsunade gave in, and let Naruto in to the other Digimon. He smiled as he saw Renamon.

 

"Rena-chan!" he ran up to her and hugged her tight. "I todl you that I'd never abandon you! Ever!" she smiled at Naruto's words, and stroked his hair.

 

"I know you wouldn't..." she replied, and looked at Tsunade. "You don't understand how much this means to us..."

 

"Oh, I do." she said and smiled a but. She knew that Naruto was having a harsh life, and if now Renamon had the same, she would not likely stop them from being together. "Now, we need to start the interrogation..."

After the interrogation, Kiba and Hinata reunited with Gabumon and Gatomon, and Naruto walked out with Renamon at his side.

 

"Hey! How come you could be in there and we couldn't?" asked Kiba, a bit annoyed.

 

"Well, since Rena-chan isn't used to be left alone, Tsunade allowed me to follow her!" replied Naruto, while Renamon stroke his hair.

 

"I know you would never leave me......" she soothed, and bent down, looking him in his deep, blue eyes. Both of them smiled at eachother, and embraced themselves in a tight hug. "You're my partner, after all..."

 

"No, Rena-chan...we are family..."

 

Renamon was flattered. To have someone call her their family, and also a stranger! She had never experienced that, and felt a strange feeling that she had never felt before. Her eyes teared with joy, and she hugged Naruto tighter.

 

"Ooh, you are so cute together..." sighed Hinata and Gatomon in unison. Naruto and Renamon immidiently separated and blushed.

 

"S-Shut up Gatomon!" stuttered Renamon, but couldn't help but to glance at Naruto. She had this unexplainable feeling that she had never felt before, but she liked it so much. And from the looks of it, Naruto had that same feeling towards her. "A-Anyways, could we get more info about that guy with the Mummymon?"

 

"I can help you on that part." they turned around and noticed Shikamaru walking up to them, his Veemon giggling after him. "That guy was Gaara of The Desert. He's a feared Sand Ninja that is able to manipulate sand, thanks to the Shukaku Demon that is hosted inside of him..."

 

"Shukaku Demon?" asked Renamon. "Like the Kyuubi Demon inside of Naruto?"

 

"Yeah, only that the Shukaku Demon doesn't have unlimited Chakra like the Kyuubi, but it allows the host to control the sand at will, and is therefore very powerful too." Gabumon and Gatomon gulped a bit. "But since the Kyuubi is locked behind the Four-Pronged Seal, it is not able to take full form."

 

"Naruto..." Renamon looked at him. "Why did you not...tell me?"

 

"Well...I didn't want to scare you away, Rena-chan..." replied Naruto. He looked away to hide that he was blushing, but Renamon turned him around and looked at him.

 

"Naruto...I will stay with you, no matter what Demon you have in your body! I just don't care if you have it there. It's you I care about..." she fondled Naruto's cheek, and he looked at her. "Please...do me a favor...and never, EVER, think that I'm going to leave you just because of a stupid demon!"

 

"I won't...Rena-chan..." replied Naruto. Renamon smiled and stood up again. Suddenly, a fiery crash was heard outside.

 

"What was that?!" Hinata got scared, and held Gatomon tight to her chest.

 

"I dunno, but we'd betted go check it out!" replied Shikamaru. All the others nodded and followed him...

"HAHAHAHAHAHA!! PUPPET PUMMEL!"

 

Puppetmon swinged his hammer, and several shots were fired from the magazine-looking mallet, and exploded upon the Konoha Village's buildings. The villagers fled in panic, as the Jounin Ninjas rushed to defend the village. Puppetmon just smirked at them.

 

"Oh, lookie! MORE playmates!" he cackled, and took off his marionette handle. "FLYING CROSS CUTTER!" he threw it towards the Jounin, as it spinned like a shredder. It cut through the Jounin Ninjas, and they were cut in half, blood flowing on the streets. Puppetmon catched his handle and put it on his back, it's edges red of blood. He grinned devilishly. "Ooh? Don't they wanna play anymore? Stupid playmates! PUPPET PUMMEL!" he fired another round at the houses.

 

"You're quite the partner, Puppetmon!" chuckled Kankuro, as he held off several ninjas with ferocious attacks from his puppets Crow and Black Ant. Temari pulled up her fan and attacked some other ninjas.

 

"Ninpou: Kamaitachi!(Translation: Ninja Art: Sickling Winds!)" she waved the fan, and sharp winds formed that cut through the ninjas, as they dropped dead to the ground. She smirked a bit. Suddenly, several Kunai's flew past her, and she jumped away. "Kankuro! Puppetmon! We got company!" Kankuro and Puppetmon jumped and landed next to her and Hawkmon, and saw their attackers. Naruto, Kiba, Hinata and Shikamaru landed in front of them with their Digitama.

 

"So, you got some of these monsters too, eh?" Kankuro smirked.

 

"They're not monsters!" shouted Hinata. "And you better stop calling them that!"

 

"Or else?" Kankuro still smirked.

 

"Or else we'll beat you black and green!" Veemon filled in with bravado.

 

"Heh! Hear that wimp! He's just a Rookie! I'm a Mega Level!" snickered Puppetmon. "I'll deal with him, Kankuro!"

 

"Hmf! As long as you make him regret talking back at us!"

 

"With pleasure!" smirked Puppetmon, and lifted his hammer. "PUPPET PUMMEL!" he bashed the hammer into the ground, and a great explosion was sent after Veemon. He gulped and side-stepped the blast in the last minute, but only to find Puppetmon right in front of him!

 

"Gaaah!!"

 

Ooh? The little playmate wanna run away? I don't think so!" he whacked Veemon with his hammer, using it as an oversized golf club, and sent Veemon flying. "And that's a Hole-In-One for the Bad Guys!" he chuckled creepily, as Veemon crashed into a building.

 

"VEEMON!" Shikamaru rushed after him, while Kiba and Naruto rushed in with their Digimon.

 

"Let's go!" shouted Kiba, as he pulled up his Digivice, and Gabumon began to glow.

 

"Gabumon! Digivolve to............GARURUMON!" the giant wolf leaped at Puppetmon and slashed at him, tearing up three scratchmarks in his wooden body.

 

"GRAAH! You'll pay for that! You're no fun!" groaned Puppetmon. "Drill Nose!" his nose began to spin around like a drill, and he lunged at Garurumon, but he dodged in the last minute.

 

"HOWLING BLASTER!" he roared, and breathed an icy vapor at Puppetmon. He was hit, but easily shrugged off the ice and grabbed the marionette handle.

 

"FLYING CROSS..." he started, but was interrupted by a Kunai in his shoulder. "GAAH! WHAT NOW?!" he turned around, only ti find four Shadow Clones of Naruto surrounding him.

 

"U-ZU-MA-KI!" they shouted, as they kicked Puppetmon into the air, with the real Naruto pummeling his heel into Puppetmon's face. "NARUTO RENDAN!" Puppetmon crashed into the ground, and the clones disappeared as Naruto landed and smirked gleefully. "Heh! Not a big deal!" but to his fears, Puppetmon got up without a single scratch!

 

"Heheheheeeee......that's all?" he smirked in a devilish way. "That's IT! YOU WILL DIE!!" he prepared to squash Naruto with his mallet, when suddenly...

 

"FLAME SHOT!"

 

A fireball shot out from the clear sky, and hit Puppetmon in the arm, which caught on fire. "OWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOW! HOT, HOT, HOT, HOT, HOT!!!" cried Puppetmon, and soaked himself with a water bucket. "NOW WHO THE HELL DID THAT?!?!"

 

"I did!" a voice replied, and a creature landed in front of Naruto and the others with Shikamaru on it's shoulders. It's skin was coloured blue, with white skin over it's belly. It had leather bands strapped around it's arms and legs, and on it's hands and feet were gauntlets with three claws pointing out of each. On it's head it had a helmet with a horn on it, and the gauntlets and helmet were coloured in red and yellow flames.

 

"Hiya guys!" it said with a chuckle, as Shikamaru jumped off it. "Missed me?"

 

"Huh?" Kiba scratched his head in confusion. "Who the heck are you?"

 

"Hehehe, I'm Veemon!" replied the creature. "But now, I'm called Flamedramon!"

 

"Flame...Dramon? Whatever, can you kick that puppet's butt?"

 

"Hehe, no prob! Even if he's a Mega Level, fire always wins against wood!" Flamedramon smirked, as he suddenly began to burn with living flames. "FIRE ROCKET!" he called out, and lunged at Puppetmon like a living projectile. As Flamedramon crashed into Puppetmon, his wooden body was set on fire, and he ran around screaming like crazy.

 

"YYYYAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SOMEONE, FOR CRIST'S SAKE, PUT IT OOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Kankuro made a face-palm, grabbed a bucked of water and plunged it over Puppetmon's head. "Aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh......thanks..."

 

"Tch! And you're supposed to be an Ex-Dark Master, eh? Pathetic!" he scoffed. "Now let's go!" he, Puppetmon, Temari and Hawkmon disappeared in a smoke cloud, and Flamedramon de-digivolved to Veemon. But as he did so, an orange ray of light bursted out of him and landed in Shikamaru's pocket. Shikamaru took his hand down, and took up something that looked like a Nintendo DS.

 

"What the heck?" he examined it. "What's this?"

 

"Well, it's a D-Terminal!" explained Veemon. "When we get home, we'll explain everything! Cause now......I'M HUNGRY!" his stomach rumbled loudly, and everybody laughed.

As the eight of them arrived at Naruto's place, they sat around the table and ate some ramen, while the Digimon explained to the ninjas why they digivolved earlier.

 

"So, you can like...grow into mega-hyper monsters just like that?!" gasped Kiba, almost dropping a mouthful of Ramen into his plate. "COOL!"

 

"Well, not exactly 'just like that'..." replied Renamon, who was gobbling Ramen along with Naruto. "You see, when a Digitama's Partner is in danger or something like that, and extra boost of energy may be applied through the Digivice as a result of the Partner's adrenaline increase, and the Digitama responds in digivolving to protect it's Partner!"

 

"Wow..." Hinata was astouned at the facts. "And you said that you already had digivolved, Gatomon?"

 

"Hmm? Yeah, I have!" replied Gatomon. "I'm a Champion Level! And those others are just Rookies!"

 

"Hey!" Veemon interrupted, and followed with a loud burp. "Oops, sorry...anyways, being a Rookie ain't that bad! You're alot more cuter that way!"

 

"Heh, as IF!" Gatomon said teasingly. "You wouldn't be able to win a beauty contest if your LIFE depended on it!"

 

"WHAT?!" Veemon was about to charge at Gatomon, and Gatomon lunged at Veemon, but Hinata and Shikamaru grabbed their Partners just in time. Gatomon hissed and sneered at Veemon, and he pointed his middle finger at Gatomon. Renamon and Gabumon just sighs deeply.

 

"Looks like they're having fun..." said Renamon jokingly. Naruto, Gabumon and Kiba snickered under their breaths.

 

"So..." Hinata was quick to change the subject, "What is Armor Digivolution then?"

 

"Well..." Veemon squirmed free of Shikamaru's grip. "It's kinda like Digivolution, only that it can be used on command, and you have to use one of these!" he held up the flaming egg with the spike. "This is a Digi-Egg! There are eleven of these all-in-all, and each has a different crest! This is the crest of Courage!"

 

"There's also a crest for Friendship, which is my crest!" replied Gabumon. "And also one for Love, Knowledge, Honesty, Reliability, Light, Hope, Kindness, Fate and Miracles!"

 

"And MY crest is the Light Crest!" Gatomon said while gracefully spinning in a pirouette, small stars dancing around her in a cute, charming style.

 

"Wow...there's so much to learn about you Digimon!" said Naruto, as he finished his Ramen. "Aaah! I'm filled up! Well, I guess we should get to sleep! It's almost dark!" the others nodded, and said goodbye and good night to Naruto and Renamon...

In a gloomy, moisturous dungeon, a large, taoist fox sat shackled to a chair. She was dressed in a monk outfit, with a long top hat on her head. She sighed deeply and looked towards a small window in her cell. She was a Taomon, and this Taomon happened to be Renamon's mother.

 

"Oh, my poor daughter..." she complained. "I hope that I sended your Digivice to someone reliable..." in that moment, the cell gate opened, and two figures stepped inside. One of them had pale, almost white skin, and was dressed in a tan vest with a brown outfir underneath. His clothing was held up by a thick, purple rope tied into a knot on his back. His slim, golden eyes pierced the darkness of the gloomy dungeon, as they looked through his thin, black hair that stretched to his shoulderblades.

 

"Sssssso, my dear Taomon..." he slithered. The sound of his voice was unnatural. Almost like a reptile, hissing with a biforcated tounge. "Are you sssstill going to be ssssssilent? Or are you going to tell usssss where your daughter issss?" she looked up at the man, and spat on his feet.

 

"Go to hell..." she muttered. The man's eyes perked a bit, but he remained calm.

 

"Should I convince her more?" the second figure spoke up. He was dressed in a purple linen that hang fron his waist and below, and he had a pair of brown pants. His chest was bare, and his eyes emerald green with red dots above them, and from his scalp grew ghostly white hair.

 

"No, my dear Kimimaro..." the first man replied. "Sssshe hassss had enough convincing for today......NOW LEAVE USSSS!" the man, named Kimimaro, nodded hastily and went outside. The man stepped up to the Taomon, gently fondling her cheek and chin.

 

"Don't touch me..."

 

"Why shouldn't I, my poor little creature? After all...you have suffered the most of all time's beings...and I pity you..."

 

"Pff! As if anyone as heartless as you would would pity ANYONE!"

 

"Hmpf! It that is your respond to my gentle touch, so be it..." he took away his hand and slapped her cheek with his palm, leaving a red bruise on her cheek. "YOU WILL STAY HERE UNTIL TIME ITSELF DRAWS TO AN END, UNLESS YOU TELL US ABOUT THAT WORLD!"

 

"As I said: Go...to...HELL..." Taomon spat on his feet again. This time, he whiped it off in disgust and went outside with fury burning in his golden eyes, and slammed the gate shut. He sat down by a nearby table and groaned, putting his face in his hands. Kimimaro slowly approached his master.

 

"Lord Orochimaru..." he spoke softly. "Is there something wrong?"

 

"No, my prodigy..." replied Orochimaru. "It is simply the fact that not even a great lord such as I can't wait until time itself draws to it's end..."

 

"We will get it out of her, Lord Orochimaru! We WILL!" he left Orochimaru and walked up a set of stone stairs.

 

"Soon, my dear Taomon..." smirked Orochimaru, "We will have enough measures of...'convincement' for you to tell us...about the Digi World!"

As the night fell, Renamon was as usual with Naruto on the roof, looking at the glimmering stars in the sky. They occasionally said "Aah!" and "Ooh!", as they discovered new stars lighting up the skies once every minute.

 

"Woooow..." Naruto laid down on the roof, smirking. "So this is what you and your mother used to do, Rena-chan?"

 

Renamon nodded and laid down beside Naruto. "Yes. Since my mother is a priestess, she used to tell me stories about how the stars and the skies were created. Hehe, and I actually believed them, smiling as I sat in her lap, and with her stroking my head. It was magical every single moment..."

 

"I can tell by the sound of it..."

 

"Yeah..." Renamon suddenly remembered something that she had felt earlier, and sat up. "Naruto?"

 

"Mmm?" Naruto sat up as well. "What's the matter, Rena-chan?"

 

"Nothing, it's just that..." she looked Naruto in the eyes. "When we...hugged eachother...did you feel anything...strange?"

 

"Well, now that you mentioned it, yeah. I felt...warm...and...safe, knowing that you were right there by my side..."

 

"So did I! Do you know...what it may be?"

 

"No...but I bet it's all the Ramen that's playing us tricks, haha!" he rubbed his belly gleefully.

 

"Is food all you think of?" Renamon asked, her voice turning bitter, and her gaze cold as ice.

 

"W-Well, sometimes! It's what make me happy!" Naruto stuttered, but covered his mouth when he realised what he had said, but too late. Renamon's eyes teared.

 

"W-WHAT?! D-Does that mean that......you care more about your lousy Ramen than ME?!?" she almost shouted, tears flowing from her eyes.

 

"N-No! Please, Rena-chan! I just..."

 

"How can you be so...so CRUEL?!?" Renamon turned away from him, covering her face, and began to cry loudly. Naruto felt stupid to death, seeing what he had done to the poor girl. He slowly approached her and fondled her shoulder.

 

"R-Rena-chan..." he stuttered, as he moved his hand up to her head, gently stroking it. "P-Please...stop crying...I don't like to see you cry..."

 

"W-What?" Renamon looked at him, and whiped out her tears. "W-What...did you...s-say?"

 

"I don't like to see you cry, Rena-chan!" replied Naruto, his hands now fondling her cheeks as he sat down next to her. "I don't...EVER...want to see you sad!" his eyes teared a bit too.

 

"N-Naruto..." Renamon almost gasped. "You...CARE about me..."

 

"Of course I do!" replied Naruto, as he smootly fondled Renamon's left shoulder with his right hand, and slided his left hand alond her curved body. "I'd never let you get to any harm, Rena-chan!"

 

"R-Really?!"

 

"No harm whatsoever!! I'll protect you with all I got, and I won't lose no matter what!" he sat up in her lap. "Rena-chan..."

 

"Naruto..."

 

"No...listen...I will never...EVER...let you be hurt! I will give my LIFE for you, if it's needed! I don't care! As long as...you are safe...I'll protect you..."

 

"N-Naruto..." Renamon sighed. They didn't notice it, but their heads slowly got closer and closer.

 

"Rena-chan..."

 

"Naruto..."

 

"I will never..."

 

"Ever..."

 

"Let you be hurt..."

 

"Because I..."

 

"I-I..."

 

"I Love You!" and at those words, their lips touched eachother, and they kissed eachother smoothly. Naruto had his tounge in her muzzle, gently rubbing it against her canine teeth and silk-smooth gum. She moaned a bit, and did the same with her tounge, snaking and rubbing Naruto's tounge while massaging his mouth. Naruto held his arms around Renamon's neck, and she held around him, as they pulled themselves closer, making the kiss more passionate and deeper. Renamon then teased Naruto by nibbing and licking his neck, with him moaning happily. He replied with the same actions, and also caressed Renamon's neck with his hands. Both moaned in pleasure, as they kissed eachother one last, long time, before they let go.

 

R-Rena-chan..." Naruto gasped, as they leaned their foreheads against eachother. "I-I'm sorry! I shouldn't have..." she just put her finger across his lip and shushed.

 

"Ssshhhh......don't apologize..." she replied. "I liked it...a bit..."

 

"Yeah, me too...now, let's go to sleep!"

 

"Yeah..." they jumped down to Naruto's balcony, and went into his bedroom. Naruto had been kind enough to buy Renamon her own bed, and she lied down in it. Naruto started snoring as fast as he lied down, but Renamon lingered a bit and looked at Naruto sleeping. She smiled.

 

"Uzumaki Naruto..." she whispered, "My love..." and then, her eyelids began to close, and she drifted off to sleep...

"Morning, Rena-chan!"

 

Naruto was up early today, grinning happily as always. Renamon gruffed a bit and sat up in her bed, stretching herself.

 

"Uuuhh...why do you wake me now, Naruto? It's Saturday!" she complained, until she saw Naruto entering their room with a tray. On it was a bowl of steaming Ramen, a small tea cup, and a tea pot.

 

"I just wanted to be nice to you!" he replied, and put the tray on Renamon's nightstand. Renamon was a bit confused at first, but then, she took the chopsticks from the bowl, and began eating some Ramen.

 

"Mmmm! Deliscious as always! Thanks!" she began to eat more, but suddenly, she felt a burning feeling in her throat. "AAAGGGHHH!!!" she grabbed the tea pot and swallowed all of the tea in one swoop. "WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?!"

 

"W-Well...ehehehe...I tried to follow one of you're recipes, Rena-chan...but I think I added too much pepper..." Naruto said sheepishly, but was instantly whacked across the face by a frying pan that Renamon pulled out of nowhere.

 

"YOU DAMN IDIOT!!"

 

"OWOWOWOWOWOWOW!! HEY, IT'S THE FIRST TIME I ACTUALLY COOK SOMETHING!"

 

"Sorry then...but you should have asked me for help first!" Renamon groaned and stood up from the bed. She walked over to Naruto and fondled his cheek. "I really didn't mean to hurt you...It's just that I got so upset..."

 

"I know, Rena-chan. I should have asked you first..." Naruto blushed a bit. "But now, let's go to the Chuunin Exam Arena! I heard that Kiba will be in one of the matches today!"

 

"Okay, that sounds fun! Let's go!"

A young boy was walking towards the Chuunin Exam Arena. He was dressed in his usual green training suit with small, orange sacks strapped around his ankles. His hands were covered in bandages, his hair was flat and black, and his eyes seemed to burn with passion. For Rock Lee, there was only one passion: Fighting.

 

"I will show them the power of Konoha's Beautiful Green Beast!" he announced. He was interrupted by a loud 'ahem!' from his side. "Oh, sorry Gaomon, I forgot about you!"

 

"It's alright, Master." replied a creature next to him. It looked like a human dog with blue fur on its body and white fur around the belly, and with a pair of red boxing gloves on its hands. Around its head was a red bandana, and its eyes glimmered in a golden tone. "But why are we fighting today?"

 

Because it's the Chuunin Exams, Gaomon!" replied Lee, grinning happily. "And we'll make sure we win, right Gaoby?"

 

"Yes, but please, stop calling me Gaoby! It's rather annoying!" Gaomon sighed.

 

"Oh, sorry then. Now, let's prepare to fight!"

 

"You got it, Sir!" Gaomon smiled with Lee, as they entered the arena.

Naruto, Renamon, Hinata, Gatomon, Shikamaru and Veemon were all at the Arena Spectator Balcony, eager to watch Kiba's fight.

 

"I hope he won't be seriously hurt..." Hinata said, a bit worried.

 

"Don't worry, Hinata! Kiba seems tough enough to handle himself, and I know that Gabumon is a tough one, now that he's been able to Digivolve into a Champion Level!"

 

"Well, that's true..." Shikamaru added, "But in the end, it's skill that decides the battle, not strenght."

 

"Well, I got to agree with you, Shikamaru." Renamon nodded. "But I believe that Kiba will be able to pull this off."

 

"Well, whatever..." Shikamaru sighed and lied down. As the crowd silenced, Kiba and Gabumon stepped into the arena, and everybody cheered on them. They smirked and waved at their fans. In the same moment, Rock Lee and Gaomon entered the arena.

 

"What?! I'm supposed to fight Rock Lee?! No way!" Kiba shouted. The judges, along with the Third Hokage, stood up and announced the battle:

 

"Today, these two will fight a battle, not by brawn, but by loyalty and friendship! Today, these two young men's Digimon will battle!"

 

"WHAT?!" both Kiba and Lee shouted in unison. Then they looked at each other, then at their Digimon.

 

"Well, alright then! We'll show them what we......i mean YOU got, Gaomon!" Lee shouted proudly, and Gaomon smirked in reply, putting up his fists.

 

"Kiba, just so you know it, I'm always ready for a fight! Let's get him!" Gabumon cheered at his partner. Kiba hesitated a bit, but then he smirked as well.

 

"Hehehe, alright! Let's do this!" Kiba prepared his Digivice, and Gabumon stepped up to the center of the arena, along with Gaomon.

 

"Heh. So you're that Lee's partner?" asked Gabumon. Gaomon nodded.

 

"That's correct..." he replied. "Now then, let's do our best!" he rushed up to Gabumon and lunged his fist at him. "Gao Rush!" Gabumon managed to dodge in the last minute, grabbed Gaomon's fist and threw him aside. But Gaomon quickly stood up again. "Heh! You're tough, Gabumon!"

 

"Hehehe, thanks!" Gabumon smiled at Gaomon, and charged at him. He and Gaomon locked their hands together and wrestled against each other. But Gabumon soon gained advantage, and pushed down Gaomon on his back, trying to bite him. But Gaomon responded by kicking Gabumon in the jaw with his feet and jumped up again. "OW!" Gabumon howled in pain and staggered backwards, as he grabbed his jaw in pain.

 

"Gabumon! Are you O.K?" Kiba asked worried. Gabumon just nodded and waved dismissively with his paw.

 

"Y-Yeah, I'm fine Kiba." he stuttered, and felt a bit numb in his jaw. He turned his anger to Gaomon. "That hurts you know!"

 

"I'm sorry, but I am here for fighting! Nothing else!" Gaomon replied. "Now, Lee! Let's finish this!" Lee nodded, and pulled up a device from his pocket. It was green with black highlights.

 

"That's...A Digivice!" Kiba exclaimed.

 

"So that's what it's called?" Lee said a bit confused. "No matter what it's called, I have discovered that this device allows me to make Gaomon stronger through Digivolution!"

 

"Well, you're not the only one!!" Kiba yelled, and pulled out his Digivice. "Gabumon, now!" his Digivice began to glow and vibrate.

 

"Yes!" Gabumon was surrounded by a white glow. "Gabumon! Digivolve to.........GARURUMON!" Garurumon entered the arena, and many of the spectators were awed of his appearance. He smirked a bit, enjoying the attention turned towards him.

 

"Let's go Gaomon!" Lee's device glowed as well, and Gaomon started to glow and grew larger.

 

"Gaomon! Digivolve to.........GAOGAMON!" Gaomon was replaced by a bear-sized wolf with blue fur on it's back, head and legs, a long, blue-furred tail with a white tip, and his mouth was filled with razorsharp canine teeth. The boxing gloves on his hands, which now was his front paws, had grown bigger, but three sharp claws protruded from the leather gloves. "You're not the only one who is a big bad wolf!" he said mockingly.

 

"GRRRR! I'll tear you apart!" Garurumon roared, and charged at Gaogamon, who leaped at Garurumon in the same time. They both hit each other in the face, and teared up three deep scratchmarks on each others cheeks. They winced at the pain, as they barely landed in front of each other, but quickly gained feeting and locked themselves in a stalking position, either of them waiting for the other to strike, while they both snarled and growled intimidatingly. Kiba and Lee kept a keen eye on their partner and the opponent's partner. Suddenly, in the blink of an eye, Gaogamon charged Garurumon, who was overpowered by the suprise attack. Gaogamon bit his front ankle, and Garurumon howled in pain, as blood stained the magnificent creature's white-blue striped fur with red stains of blood. But Garurumon responded with a quick snap of his jaws, and with a ripping noise, Gaogamon's left eartip was torn off by Garurumon's teeth and tossed into the air. Gaogamon whimpered and staggered backwards, trying to reach the wound and clean it, but all in vain. He stared at Garurumon with blood-red eyes and with his fury burning in them.

 

"YOU DAMN BASTARD! TEARING OFF MY EAR LIKE THAT! I'LL MAKE YOU SUFFER!!" he roared, and leaped at Garurumon, forced him to the ground, and locked his jaws around Garurumon's neck, biting harder and harder. Garurumon howled and whimpered in agony, as the audible sound of bones being crushed was heard all over the arena, filling the audience with a mixed state of fear and disgust. Blood was squirting from the deep wound, as it flowed into the great canine's muzzle, filled it's tounge with the taste of death. Gaogamon smirked devilishly, and let go off Garurumon's neck, and backed away from him as he de-digivolved to Gabumon. The judges announced:

 

"Garurumon is no longer capable of fighting! The victory goes to Gaogamon and Rock Lee; Konoha's Beautiful Green Beast!"

 

Lee managed to smile a bit, but was in the same time concerned about Kiba's Gabumon. Gaogamon walked up to him and tried to impress him.

 

"Haha! What do ya say, Lee? Pretty powerful, eh?" he smirked, and stretched out his chest with pride. But the only reply he got was a stern look from Lee.

 

"Gaogamon! Why did you do that?! You almost killed him!" Lee exclaimed.

 

"But you said that this was all about fighting!" Gaogamon retorted.

 

"But I didn't say anything about killing! That's unhonorable!"

 

"Hmph! In my, and Gabumon's world, it's to kill or be killed!" Gaogamon scoffed, as he reverted to Gaomon. He crossed his arms and turned away from Lee. "You humans are so confusing!" in the meantime, Kiba had rushed up to Gabumon.

 

"Gabumon! Gabumon, say something!" he yelled. Gabumon's eyes flickered a bit, and he held Kiba's hand.

 

"I-It......h-hurts..." he managed to stutter, his eyes filled to the brim with tears. Kiba smiled a bit.

 

"At least you ain't dead..." he sighed, and then looked around. "Medic! MEDIC, NOW!" he shouted, as Gabumon's sight blurred, and he passed out.

Inside one of the medical buildings, Gabumon laid in his bed. His neck was thickly wrapped up in bandages, a few bloodstains were still visible, and apparently, he had broken his leg, so it was bandaged as well. Next to his bed sat Kiba, still proud of his partner's efforts. Hinata and Gatomon were with them as well, a bit worried about Gabumon's condition.

 

"Will he be alright, Kiba?" asked Hinata. Kiba looked at Hinata, then he looked down sadly.

 

"I don't know, Hinata..." he replied. "The Medical Ninjas said that he had suffered some lethal injuries, and there's a fifty-fifty chance that he will survive..."

 

"Oh..." Hinata blushed violently, feeling embarassed and stupid for asking. "Sorry, Kiba..." Kiba looked up again, and put his hand on Hinata's arm.

 

"Hey, it's ok..." he managed to smile at her. "He'll be fine, I know it!"

 

"R-Really?"

 

"Well, I don't know for certain, but my guts tells me that he'll make it!"

 

"Oh, ok then! I hope he will wake up soon..." Hinata smiled at Kiba. Gatomon jumped out of Hinata's arms and landed in Kiba's lap, stroking her body against his chest while purring happily.

 

"Don't worry, Kiba! Gabumon and I have been friends for a long time now, and I know that he won't give up no matter what!" she said confidently. Kiba just smiled at the feline Digimon, and stroked her back, which made her purr even more.

 

"You sure are a cheery fella, Gatomon!" he chuckled, before handing her over to Hinata. Hinata bowed quickly and left Kiba with Gabumon. Kiba's face expression was a mix of hope and fear, as he observed Gabumon muttering some unaudible words;

 

"Mother......Father......Maria...

"Gabumon! Hey, Gabumon! Are you just gonna stand there all day? Spill it!" Gabumon snapped out of his trance. This was a day that he remembered as if it was just yesterday. He looked upon the scenery. He stood in a small lake, half of his body was soaked under the water, and in front of him was someone that he had missed for a long time. A female Dorumon, her eyes glimmering like a sea of gold, her purple pelt glistering in the water's reflection and the moon's illuminating light, and with the red Digi-Hazard mark on her forehead. The Digi-Hazard mark symbolized Digimon's that had a great chance of corrupting large amounts of Data, but thanks to her feelings towards Gabumon, she has learned to keep those powers locked away.

 

"W-What?" Gabumon was confused, and then noticed the Dorumon. "O-Oh, yeah, well..."

 

"Well what? the Dorumon placed her hand on his shoulder. "There's no need to be ashamed! Tell me, Ricky!" that was Gabumon's real name. Ricky. Or Richard, if you prefer a full version of his name. It has been so long since he heard her call him that. His one, true love...

 

"M-Maria..." Ricky managed to stutter. "I-I'm not sure how I s-should s-say this...b-but..."

 

"But what?" asked Maria. She could see that Ricky was nervous, as his shoulder shook under her hand. "Tell me, please. Don't be afraid..."

 

"Maria..." Ricky stopped stuttering, and grabbed Maria's other hand with a soft, yet demanding touch. "You are everything to me, Maria! You're the only one that has ever felt for me the way you do, and I am forever grateful for that! Maria, if you and I had never met, I can't stand the thoughts of what might have happened! Who knows? You maybe......saved my life...as you told me that I saved yours..." Maria was deeply shocked, and flattered. She knew what Ricky was talking about. About one month ago, she was diagnosed with Digi-Cancer, a lethal cancer similar to the human versions, but instead of small, microscopic virus bacteria spreading through her body, she had a computer virus inside of her, slowly deleting her from the inside out. A cure for Digi-Cancer was to be found, but the prescriptions for such rare antidotes were quite high in price, and Maria's family simply didn't have that much money. One time, when she laid at the hospital, Ricky had come to visit her, and she lightened her heart by telling him how much that single visit meant for her.

 

"R-Ricky..." she began to stutter, but Ricky shook his head.

 

"No, Maria! It's time for me to tell you how I feel!" his eyes were slightly teared, and he stepped closer to Maria, and looked into her eyes. She looked back at his eyes, and they felt a feeling like none they had ever felt. "Maria......I-I-I......I...Love you..." at those three words, Maria gasped and put her hand in front of her mouth. She was caught completely off-guard, and didn't know what to say.

 

"R-Ricky......O-Oh Ricky! I love you too!" she bursted into tears of joy and embraced Ricky in a tight hug, nuzzling his chest and neck. And then, their lips touched each others, and they shared their first, passionate kiss. Their lips and tongues caressed each other, as they snaked their tongues and licked inside each others mouthes. Ricky slowly rubbed his hands along Maria's back, which made her emitt a muffled, passionate moan into his mouth. He smirked a bit, and after about twenty minutes, they broke free from the kiss.

 

"Maria......" Ricky sighed, and gently fondled her head. "Remember...I will always be here for you...even...even if I'm one hundred miles away from you...I will be with you...in your heart."

 

"Ricky...I will...also be...in...your...h-he...heart..." suddenly, Maria fell into Ricky's arms. Her purple fur was falling off slowly, revealing her pale skin. Her eyes dimmed, and finally, she fainted in her lover's arms.

 

"M-Maria?! Maria! Maria, what's wrong?!?" Ricky shook her, and tried to wake her. But her body was numb, her skin felt cold on Ricky's arms, and her eyes were closed. There was no doubt about it. The cancer...had finally won. She was dead. Tears dripped from Ricky's eyes, and fell into the crystal-clear lake. He muttered a few curse words under his breath, sobbing and whimpering, as he gently put Maria's body into the lake. In an instant, she dissolved into thousands of colorful Data fragments that fluttered into the moon-lit night. Ricky looked up at the sky, and howled out in agony and sorrow...

 

"MAARRIIIIAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"MARIAAA!!!!!" Gabumon sat up in his medical bed, and Kiba almost jumped ten feet straight into the air of suprise.

 

"WHOA!! Hey, Gabumon! Why are you yelling like th......GABUMON!" Kiba stood up and hugged Gabumon. "You're O.K!" Gabumon sighed a bit, and then hugged Kiba back.

 

"Yeah...I guess I am..." he replied.

 

"Hm? You don't sound O.K, Gabumon. You sure you are O.K?"

 

"Yeah, ugh...just..leave me awhile...and lemme rest up, ok?" Kiba nodded and went outside, eager to tell the others. Gabumon just leaned back into his bed, and stared up into the roof, as small tears streamed down from his eyes.

 

"Why, Maria? Why?"

As Gabumon had fully recovered, he was greeted by his partner Kiba and the other ninjas, as they hugged him and rubbed his head countless of times. He managed to smile at them, but no one understood the bleeding wounds he had in his heart. His only love was gone, and there was nothing he could do to reverse it. He sighed a bit, as he and the others walked out of the medical house.

 

"Huh? What's wrong, Gabumon?" asked Veemon, who was walking beside him. Gabumon looked up at Veemon.

 

"O-Oh...nothing..." he replied. Veemon raised his eyebrow a bit.

 

"Oh really? I'm not falling for it, Gabumon. Tell me."

 

"W-Well......" blood flowed to Gabumon's cheeks, and he started blushing. "C-Could you promise not...t-to tell anyone?" Veemon smiled and patted Gabumon on the shoulder.

 

"Sure buddy! I won't tell!" he replied.

 

"Well...O.K then! I...I had a dream...about my girlfriend..."

 

"What?! You have a girlfriend?!"

 

"Shhh! Well, not exactly. I HAD a girlfriend......"

 

"Ouch! She dumped ya?"

 

"N-No......s-she.........d-died..." Gabumon's eyes filled with tears again. "A-And she...s-she just...just smiled at me......a-and then...and then..." the emotions were too much for young Gabumon, and he held his paws on his face, and cried loudly. Everyone turned around to see the cause of the noise, and saw Gabumon crying. Kiba rushed up to him and picked him up.

 

"Gabumon! What's wrong?" he asked. Gabumon just kept crying, and Kiba didn't know why. He held his arms around Gabumon and hugged him. "Gabumon, it's alrigh...I'm here...I understand if you're sad about something..."

 

"NO! YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND A THING!!!" Gabumon shouted, and slapped Kiba across the face. He winced at the sudden pain, and dropped Gabumon. He landed and ran away, still crying.

 

"GABUMON!!" Kiba ran after him, with Akamaru right behind him. Gabumon had already run outside, and was about to exit the village gate, when Kiba caught up with him and forced him down.

 

"LET ME GO!!!" Gabumon shouted with a heart-broken tone. "LET ME GO, DAMMIT!!"

 

"No Gabumon! I won't!!" Kiba shouted back, struggling to keep Gabumon down.

 

"LET GO OF ME OR I'LL KILL YOU!!" Gabumon cried out, and slashed Kiba across the chest. His claws were covered in blood, and three red gashes formed across Kiba's chest, with blood dripping from them. "LEAVE ME ALONE!!!" but Kiba refused to let go.

 

"NO!" even Gabumon was shocked as Kiba shouted. "I WON'T LEAVE YOU, PARTNER!" Kiba stood up, and Gabumon didn't struggle as he lifted him up. "You...and I......are partners! And that means that we won't leave each other, no matter what! If there is something wrong with you that I don't understand, please, tell me! I'll be here for you!" Kiba embraced Gabumon in a tight hug, and a small tear fell from his eye.

 

"Kiba, I......" Gabumon hesitated a bit. "I...I'm sorry..." he hugged Kiba back, and cried a bit more. "O.K...I-I'll tell you...my friend..."

Kankuro and Temari were suprised as they met Gaara when they returned to the Sand Village.

 

"Kankuro......Temari..." Gaara said as he stared into the ground. "So you're back, huh?"

 

"Of course! We're quite suprised to see you here!" Kankuro replied. "Now, what has happened?"

 

"Nothing...exept, well, you should know..."

 

"Huh?" Kankuro and Temari tried to understand, when they saw their Digimon partners. "Oh that...wait! You have one too, Brother?!"

 

"Of course..." Gaara replied, as he waved his hand. "Come out, Mummymon!" in the blink of an eye, bandages erupted from the ground and tied themselves up, and formed the dreaded figure of Mummymon glaring at Kankuro and Temari.

 

"Yes Master?" he asked politely, and looked at Gaara. "Is there something needed?"

 

"No...at least not now...Kankuro! Temari! Meet Mummymon...my partner." Kankuro and Temari smirked as they observed Mummymon. "You two have partners too, no?"

 

"Heh, sure brother! This is Puppetmon!" Kankuro pointed at Puppetmon.

 

"And I am Hawkmon!" Hawkmon filled in as he stood on Temari's shoulders.

 

"Heh, seems as you're not the only ones..." Gaara smirked devilishly. "Now then, I believe you have met Naruto and the others, considering that the puppet has some serious burn wounds..." he examined Puppetmon.

 

"Heh, that's right! Those damn punks actually forced us to retreat..." Kankuro sighed.

 

"Don't worry, big brother. You will have your revenge..."

 

"H-Huh? But how can you be so sure?" asked a confused Kankuro.

 

"Because...I have encountered them..." he replied. "Not in person, of course...but through my Sand Clones. I observed them fighting, and I managed to learn a few things about them with the help of my Mummymon. It seems as these creatures can get stronger through something called Digivolution, if I'm correct?" he glanced at Mummymon, who nodded in reply.

 

"Correct, Master. Through Digivolution, a Digimon can get bigger, tougher, faster...in short terms, better. There are six levels of Digimon's; Baby, In-training, Rookie, Champion, Ultimate, and Mega. I myself is an Ultimate Level, Hawkmon here is Rookie, and Puppetmon is a Mega Level Digimon, meaning he's stronger that any of us." Puppetmon smirked at Mummymon's remark about him.

 

"Which means that together, we have a bigger chance of winning this time..." Gaara filled in. "There's no way that they will beat us now..."

Kiba and Gabumon sat on a roof-top staring into the distant sun, as it set into the horizon.

 

"Hey, Gabumon..." Kiba sighed. "I'm sorry that I made you upset earlier..."

 

"No...I'M the one to apologize you...for being such a dork..." Gabumon replied. "It's just that......I miss Maria..." another tear fell from his eye, but he quickly whiped it out with his paw.

 

"Yeah, I know. She...really liked you, right?"

 

"Wrong. She...she loved me...with all her heart and Digi-soul......and so did I..."

 

"Oh...still, I'm sorry for being ignorant..." Kiba held out his hand. "Peace?" Gabumon managed to hold in a chuckle, and shook Kiba's hand.

 

"Sure, partner!" he replied. "So, Kiba? Have you ever...loved someone?"

 

"What? Naah, I haven't really 'loved' anyone..."

 

"That's a pity. Love is really something, you know..."

 

"Yeah, I bet..." Kiba started, but then, a fiery blast shook the village. "Whoa! What's up now?!"

 

"Must be Puppetmon, Hawkmon and their partners again!" Gabumon suggested, as they stood up and ran towards the explosion...

"Agh! Dammit! Keep fighting, everyone!" Naruto shouted at the others, as they were attacked as well by Kankuro, Puppetmon, Temari and Hawkmon.

 

"Ninpou: Kamaitachi!" Temari waved her fan, and razor-sharp winds were sent at them. They dodged as fast as they could, and Naruto made a hand sign.

 

"Kage Bunshin No Jutsu!" several Shadow Clones popped up in the air, and they landed beside Naruto who charged Kankuro and Puppetmon head-on. "Here I go!" all of them lunged at Kankuro.

 

"Heh, fool!" he smirked, and pulled up his puppet Crow. Blades emerged from it's hands and feet, and it spinned around and charged at Naruto and the clones. The clones evaporated into smoke as they were shredded, but then, Crow was heading towards the real Naruto!

 

"Naruto!!" Renamon jumped upwards and in front of Naruto. She grabbed him and pulled him away from Crow's rampart slicing, and they landed unharmed.

 

"Thanks, Rena-chan! I thought I was a goner for sure!" Naruto said in relief. Renamon smiled at him.

 

"I would never let anyone hurt you my love..." she replied soothingly. But then, one of Puppetmon's Puppet Pummel bullets crashed next to them, and they decided to save the conversation for later. "Fox-Leaf Arrowhead!" thousands of diamond shards were sent at Puppetmon, but then, a wall of sand erupted from the ground and blocked them.

 

"W-What?!" Naruto gasped. "No way!!" but then, the sand formed a person, and Gaara emerged. "GAARA!"

 

"Heh...missed me, Uzumaki?!" he growled, and stretched out his palms. The sand now shifted into hands that charged at him and Renamon. Naruto dodged it perfectly, but Renamon was almost hit, as she received a small cut on her shoulder. Gaara smirked, and waved his hand to the right. The sand now rapidly changed directions, and landed on Renamon's right arm. It quickly engulfed the arm, and Gaara quickly reacted by putting his hand up and clutched it. "Sabaku Kyuu!(Translation: Desert Coffin!)" a crushing sound was heard, and Renamon yelled in agony as she felt her arm being crushed, and blood splattered from the sand.

 

"RENA-CHAN!!!" Naruto yelled, and tried to run towards her. But Gaara intervened with a sand wall that swept away Naruto. Naruto crashed into a building, and fell down. Gaara turned his attention back at Renamon, and continued to crush her arm. She screamed louder and more agonized. She felt like her arm was about to be ripped off.

 

"A-AAGGHH!!! N-NARUTO!! HELP ME!!" she screamed, but Naruto was unconscious. Gaara laughed sadistically as he continued to crush Renamon's arm with the masses of sand. "A-AAGGH!!!! ANYONE!! HELP ME!!" and as if her prayers were heard, a voice cried out;

 

"HOWLING BLASTER!!" an icy vapor was shot at Gaara, and he was forced to raise a sand barrier, which instantly froze to ice. Doing this, he lost control of the Desert Coffin, and it let go of Renamon, and she quickly leaped away to Naruto. Her arm was limp and bleeding heavily. Gaara looked at the direction where the blast had come from, and saw Kiba sitting on Garurumon's back.

 

"Stay away from my friends, Gaara!" Kiba shouted. "Garurumon, let's go!" Garurumon nodded and charged Gaara. But then, another sand wave stormed up and engulfed Garurumon, while pushing off Kiba. The sand quickly surrounded Garurumon, and Gaara clutched his hand. "SABAKU SOUSOU! (Translation: Desert Graveyard!)" the sand crushed Garurumon with extreme pressure, and blood splashed all over the place. Garurumon's body fell down with a loud thump, and remained motionless.

 

"G-GARURUMON!!" Kiba shouted and ran up to him, hugging his mane as far as his arms reached around him. "GARURUMON! PLEASE, GET UP!" he shook Garurumon a few times, but he was still motionless. Kiba feared the worst, and tears fell from his eyes. "G-GARURUMON! NOO!! I-I DON'T WANT YOU TO LEAVE ME!! PLEASE, GET UP!! YOU CAN'T DIE NOW!"

 

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! You fool! There's no escape from Gaara's technique! Your so-called 'Partner' is done for!" Kankuro laughed confidently.

 

"N-NO! SHUT UP!! I-I DON'T BELIEVE YOU!!" Kiba's tears fell from his eyes and landed on Garurumon's fur. "PLEASE, GARURUMON! GET UP! YOU'RE NOT DEAD! I DON'T BELIEVE IT!! PLEASE......GABUMON! YOU'RE MY BEST FRIEND!!!!"

 

"Best.........friend?" Garurumon said weakly. Suddenly, something glowed on Kiba's chest. A mark. It was shaped like a ring with two sharp ends at each side, and it glowed in a light-blue color. Garurumon's fur began to glow, and then, his entire body was engulfed in a white light, and he changed form.

 

"Garurumon! Digivolve to...............WEREGARURUMON!"

 

Everyone, including Gaara, were shocked of what was happening. Garurumon's form changed to a more humanoid shape, and he was soon standing up on two legs instead of four. The light vanished, and it was as if a whole new creature was in front of them all. It had the looks of a werewolf with white and blue-striped fur, it's bare, muscular chest was crossed by a leather belt that ended in a shoulder pad. He had a pair of blue jeans with leather knee pads covered in spikes, and his feet had purple claws protruding from his toes. Across his left eye, a scar that stretched all the way down to his left shoulder was visible. He observed the battlefield for awhile, and smirked as he saw Kiba behind him.

 

"Heh...it's been a loooong time since someone allowed me to take this form..." he said, trying to hide a small chuckle. "The last time I did it was when Maria was attacked by a gang of Meramons."

 

"W-What?!" Kiba was both shocked and awed at his partner's evolution. "G-Gabumon! Is that...y-you?!"

 

"Hehe, 'course it's me, Kiba! But this...is my ULTIMATE Form; Weregarurumon!" he replied, and pounded his fists. "Now then...let's see how tough that sand really is!" he stood in his battle stance, his fists up and standing on his right leg whille his left was lifted upwards. Gaara observed Weregarurumon from a distance, and chuckled creepily.

 

"As if you will be a problem for me! Maybe a nuisance at its highest!" he replied, and lashed his hand forward. Sand masses charged at Weregarurumon, but he saw it coming and jumped into the air. Gaara tried to look after him, but the sharp sun pierced his eyes, and he was forced to look away. Weregarurumon took this to his advantage, and landed in front of Gaara.

 

"This is it!" he cried out, and was about to kick Gaara, when something pulled his leg away. He looked at it, and saw it strapped up in bandages. A few meters away, Mummymon stood and grinned at him, as he held some bandages in his arm.

 

"Hehehe! You're MINE now!" he shouted, and yanked in the bandages, which pulled Weregarurumon towards him. Weregarurumon just smirked, as he came closer to Mummymon. "Heh, what's the matter?! So scared that you actually SMILE to your death?!" Mummymon shouted confidently. But then, as Weregarurumon was only inches away from him, he suddenly pulled up his fist and punched Mummymon in the gut. "A-AGH!!"

 

"Hehe...seems as mummys are as stupid as I thought..." Weregarurumon smirked, and then, he backed away from Mummymon, who held his stomach in pain, and then charged at him again. "GARURU KICK!" his foot was engulfed in blue flames, and he kicked Mummymon across the face, which made him spin in mid-air. Weregarurumon then made a thrust kick into Mummymon's side, and he was sent flying towards Gaara. Gaara just shrugged as a sand wall was created and dampened Mummymon's impact.

 

"Hmph...seems as we underestimated you yet again..." Gaara snarled at the group. "Next time...you won't be so lucky..." he, Kankuro, Temari and their partners disappeared in a wave of sand.

 

"D-Dammit......" Naruto was regaining consciousness. "They got away!" Renamon sat down on her knees next to him and fondled his cheeks.

 

"Let them be, Naruto......" she whispered into his ear. "As long as we're...well, YOU'RE unharmed...it's just fine..." she gave him a quick kiss on the lips, and helped him stand up. That's when Naruto saw Weregarurumon.

 

"WHAAAA!!! THAT ONE'S BIG!" he shouted out loud. Weregarurumon looked at him and chuckled.

 

"Hahaha! You're a funny one!" he laughed and rubbed Naruto's head.

 

"Haha, hey! Cut that out! You're messing up my hair!" Naruto chuckled along with Weregarurumon as he squirmed free. Kiba just smiled at Weregarurumon.

 

"To be so strong...and yet so kind towards others..." he thought, as he saw Naruto and Weregarurumon wrestling each other for fun, and when they grew tired, they just lied down and bursted into laughing along with the others. Kiba walked up to Weregarurumon. "Hey, Gabumon...if you don't mind me calling you that..."

 

"Hehahaha, call me Ricky!" Ricky replied as he got up.

 

"Oh, O.K...Ricky...I just wanted to say...thank you." he went up to Ricky and gave his leg a hug. Ricky, being bigger than Kiba at the moment, smiled and lifted up Kiba, hugging him.

 

"You're welcome...but for what?" he then asked.

 

"For not leaving me..."

 

"Heh! As if I'd ever leave you!" Ricky then put down Kiba and reverted to Gabumon. "Haha! I'm your partner, remember?"

 

"Haha, of course!" Kiba smiled, and Ricky smiled back. This day......Friendship had won a great victory.

Later that night, Renamon and Naruto were about to go to bed, when Renamon suddenly halted Naruto, grabbing his arm.

 

"Huh? What's wrong, Rena-chan?" he asked, a bit confused of Renamon's actions.

 

"N-Naruto..." she stuttered, and bended down to his height, her eyes fixed on his. "That...'thing' we did yesterday...I-I just wanted to say that...I'm sorry if I...made you feel...uncomfortable." her eyes seemed to be filled with guilt, as if she had done something terribly wrong. But Naruto just chuckled a bit, his stupid, innocent grin plastered on his face.

 

"Naaah, it was pretty O.K! You didn't bother me at all!" he replied.

 

"But...how can you be so naíve? That was your...our first kiss!" Renamon felt a bit disappointed.

 

"Well, I'm aware of that, but it felt really good!" he assured Renamon. She blushed a bit, but not because of embarrasment, but because she was flattered. No one has ever kissed her before, not even saying that she looked good for once. But this boy...all was different with him. He was open-hearted, kind and understanding. She held his shoulders and gave him a small peck on the lips.

 

"Thank you...once again." she said quietly. "You really are the most kindest person I've ever met..." she embraced Naruto in a warm hug, and he did the same with Renamon. They both smiled at each other, and then went to bed. As Renamon lied down in her bed, she looked at Naruto, as he lied down in his bed a few meters away. He looked back at her, and gave her a warm smile, then fell asleep. Renamon lingered a bit, but then, she also fell asleep. But if she had stayed awake for awhile longer, she would soon notice that Naruto began to cold-sweat, writhing and wriggling in his sleep, and he seemed to be tormented.

Naruto felt something wet at his feet. He looked down, and saw that he stood with water up to his ankles. Around him was complete darkness, in which red lights flickered dimly. In front of him was a huge, golden gate with a paper seal attached to it. He shivered a bit. This was inside his mind, and the gate in front of him contained an evil so great that, if it was ever released, would destroy the entire world.

 

The Nine-Tailed Jinchuuriki: Kyuubi.

 

Naruto shivered again, as he soon saw a giant pair of blood-red eyes glare at him from the darkness inside the gate. Along with the eyes, a broad grin with white, razor-sharp fangs appeared, smirking at the young Gennin ninja.

 

"Uzumaki......" a dark voice uttered, breaking the silence. "I have grown tired with these 'games' of yours with this Kitsune. Apparently you are getting too emotional, Uzumaki. You sicken me!" Naruto remained silent. "Ooh? Not talking today, are we? Well, if I weren't sealed here, I'd show you a thing or two!" Still no response from Naruto, a few tears fell form his cheeks and fell into the water.

 

"You......You..." he began to repeat, slowly looking at his demonic host's gritted teeth and glowing eyes. "YOU SHUT THE HELL UP!" the Kyuubi's eyes flared up with anger. How dared this mortal mock HIM?!

 

"What...did...you......SAY?!?" the Kyuubi almost roared. Naruto's gaze flared as much as the Kyuubi's, both with anger and sorrow.

 

"I said shut the hell up! You stop speaking about Rena-chan like that!! She's my friend, and I don't care if you are inside of me, or even that you're a stupid Demon! You won't stop me from being with Rena-chan!" the Kyuubi roared loudly, shaking the very foundations of Naruto's mind.

 

"YOU UNGRATEFUL BRAT!!!!" he roared, and suddenly, he breaked through the sealed gate! He opened his jaws wide open, and prepared to devour Naruto...

"AAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!"

 

Naruto woke up screaming in the middle of the night, his body full of cold sweat. He was panting like crazy, and with each beat his heart made, it felt like tearing itself out of his body. Renamon woke up shocked by Naruto screaming, and stared at him.

 

"What happened?!" she said in suprise. Naruto glanced at her, and stared down on his bed.

 

"Nothing..." he muttered. "Just...just a bad dream..." Renamon felt that something was wrong, and stood up from her bed. She walked over to Naruto's bed, and sat down next to him, putting her hand on his shoulder.

 

"Naruto. Tell me what's wrong. Please." she said soothingly. Naruto glanced back at her, a bit longer this time, and then he fully locked his gaze with her.

 

"I...can't..." he replied, and leaned up to Renamon, her soft fur caressing the right side of his body. "I just can't..."

 

"Why not?" Renamon asked him, slowly fondling his hair, allowing it to slip through her fingers as she stroke Naruto on the head. "You are my partner. You should be able to tell me anything." Naruto shook his head in her hands.

 

"No. I simply can't tell you, Rena-chan." he replied sadly. Renamon sighed, giving up to pry him on information. She began to rub his upper chest, and he sighed happily as her three-fingered hand slowly massaged his tense muscles. Without knowing it, Renamon was now resting her head on Naruto's shoulder, and when he turned his head to see her, he was a bit suprised at first, but then smiled at her. "Try to understand that I can't tell you..."

 

"It's O.K..." Renamon smiled back, and fondled Naruto's cheek. "I don't want to force you to do anything you don't want to do." their lips touched, and they kissed each other passionately, occasionaly moaning with pleasure. Naruto felt Renamon's hands stroke and caress his chest and back, and she felt his sweat cooling her fur. They both lied down and continued to kiss and caress each other, until they opened their eyes, and realised what they were doing.

 

"O-Oh! I'm s-so sorry!" Renamon almost flew up from Naruto's bed and ran over to her own.

 

"Heh...it's ok..." Naruto blushed a bit. "But now, let's get some sleep, O.K?"

 

"O.K..." Renamon winked at Naruto, and he smiled back, as they laid down in their beds and began to sleep.

After waking up, Renamon and Naruto went to the Hokage Center along with Kiba, Hinata and Shikamaru. Apparently, Tsunade had called them back for another meeting. As they entered her office, they found Rock Lee and Gaomon standing in front of her.

 

"Oh, hi guys." she called to them as they stepped in, but as he saw Lee, Kiba flew into a wild rage and pinned him down on the floor.

 

"YOU DAMN BASTARD!" he roared. "THANKS TO YOU AND THAT SNOBBY MUTT, GABUMON WAS ALMOST DONE FOR IT!"

 

"Inuzuka! Calm down!" Tsunade commanded, but Kiba would listen to no reason now. He was just so mad at Lee and his partner for almost killing Gabumon. Tsunade was now forced to pull away Kiba from Lee, and he managed to calm down as he glared at Lee with fire in his eyes. Gaomon, however, seemed to be friendlier than the last time, and went up to Gabumon.

 

"Uum...hi. Sorry I almost killed you and all that...but, eeehhh...friends?" he held out his left paw. Gabumon looked at him, then at his paw. He smiled a bit, and grabbed it with his right one, and shook hands with Gaomon.

 

"Friends." he confirmed.

 

"Ok. Sorry for almost killing you, but when I digivolve, I kinda get an urge to kill and...stuff. Sorry."

 

"Heh, it's ok! I'm just glad that you could explain why it happened!" Gabumon smiled and held up his paw, and Gaomon high fived it. As the commotion settled, Tsunade started to explain why they were all at her office.

 

"Now then, as I have heard from Rock Lee here, your Digimon are supposed to become stronger through a phase called...Digivolution, correct?" Gaomon nodded.

 

"Indeed, M'Lady." he replied. "There are, however, certain circumstances that must be filled, such as if the partner of the Digimon is in danger, or if the Digimon is boosted with a certain amount of energy." Tsunade was intrigued.

 

"I see." she answered very subtle. "So...say that this energy is similar to a ninja's Chakra...could it be possible for you to Digivolve with a Chakra Injection?" Gaomon had to shake his head.

 

"No, M'Lady. It's not that simple, you see. The energy that we use to Digivolve is, how should I put this...Digital. Like...energy from computers." the ninjas looked confused, as they had never heard about Digital energy before. Gaomon sighed, and decided to be blunt, "Well, I guess that Chakra COULD be used as a substitution."

 

"Well, O.K then. Because from what I've heard, Jiraiya is willing to help you in your endeavour." Naruto's face turned gloomy, and he bended his head down in shame. Renamon was confused.

 

"What's wrong, Naruto?" she asked as they went outside, and headed outside the village.

 

"N-Nothing..." Naruto replied. "Just don't let that Jiraiya...touch you, O.K?"

 

"Touch me? Well, O.K! If you don't want to, I will not let him!" she smiled, and gave Naruto a peck on the cheek.

As all of them reached a small glade with a shrine in it, the ninjas stopped and looked around.

 

"Where is that stupid sage?!" Naruto complained.

 

"Naruto! He's a SAGE, after all! Don't call him stupid!" Renamon consoled him, worried that he might upset this 'Jiraiya' guy. Suddenly, they saw a man appear in front of the shrine. He was wearing a red outfit with green pants, had long, white hair which looked like small thorns, and he had red tattoo stripes on his face. This was Jiraiya.

 

"Finally!" he grunted, and looked at the young ninjas. "You know, I was waiting pretty long for you!"

 

"Not long enough it seems!" Naruto smirked. Jiraiya laughed a bit.

 

"Hehe, you sure are cockier than the last time, Uzuma-ma-ma-ma......" his eyes were fixed at the slim, yellow-furred Kitsune next to Naruto, her beautiful body shape almost hypnotizing him, but mostly her breasts. "OH MY GOD!!! WHAT A BABE!" he thought, and suddenly looked a bit sneakier, as he creaped unusually close to Renamon. "Saaaaaay......is it just me, or are ALL Digimon as enchanting as YOU are?"

 

"W-Well, ehehehehehe......I-I don't quite know how to answer to that, hehehe..." Renamon was kinda flattered, but she was suspicious towards Jiraiya's sudden approach.

 

"Well, just answer like THIS!" Naruto exclaimed and banged Jiraiya in the head, as he fell to the ground. "STAY AWAY FROM HER AND FOCUS ON OUR TRAINING OR WHATEVER IT IS!" Renamon was shocked that Naruto did what he did, but when she realised that he was actually protecting her, she felt proud of Naruto. Jiraiya got up groaning, and rubbed a bump on his head.

 

"E-Eeeh, ahem! Yes, of course! The training..." Jiraiya plastered a serious look on his face, and looked at the Digimons, almost a bit TOO much on Renamon, and then said; "I'll give you a small Chakra Injection, and then you should have enough power to...'Digivolve'. You ready?"

 

"Yes, Jiraiya-sama!" they all replied.

In a shadowed grotto, eleven shaded figures were gathered, standing in a circle.

 

"So...is everything set up?" one of them asked.

 

"Yes, Nagato Pain..." another replied. "I also managed to gather information about the other...'Digimon'..." it said again, only in a darker voice.

 

"Good, Zetsu..." Pain said, and looked at another. He had white, slick hair, and held a large, three-bladed scythe in his hands, the blades colored crimson red. "Hidan. I suggest you and Reapermon follow the plan..."

 

"Heh, as if! If you ask me, this plan is a load of bu..." he halted himself, as he saw the look in Pain's Rinnegan eyes. "Hmph! Whatever..." he walked away, and a weird Digimon that looked like a gold- and silver skeleton accompanied him.

 

"Hehehe! We will kill more now, yesyes?" it asked.

 

"Shut up, Reaper." Hidan scolded. "But yes......we WILL kill more..." he touched his bracelet, and mumbled a few words of praise. He and Reaper then left the grotto...

"Ahem! Alright then!" Jiraiya announced, as each of the Digimon were now whimpering and cursing after the injection, rubbing their arms. "Since you now have a rather big dose of Chakra injected in your bodies, you should perhaps be able to Digivolve to the next level!"

 

"WHY THE HELL DID WE NEED AN INJECTION?!?!?!" Gabumon and Gaomon roared simultaneously. "WE ALREADY KNOW HOW TO DIGIVOLVE!" they added, and Jiraiya looked embarrased.

 

"Well, ahem! The reason why I did so is that it's essential for EVERYONE to feel the same pain as their partners and friends!" he said proudly. "Hehe! Clever save there, ol' man!" he thought for himself. "Alright now! Commence Digivolution!" he just stood there, arms stretched out, and was probably waiting for something to happen. "Well...go on! Transform, or whatever you do!" Gaomon made a face-palm and sighed.

 

"Idiot..." he mumbled under his breath, and looked up. "Look here, ol' man; We can't be commanded by OTHERS to Digivolve just like that. It must be our PARTNERS who initiate the Digivolution." Jiraiya made the Anime-drop before he staggered up and glared at Gaomon.

 

"SO WHY THE HELL DIDN'T YOU TELL ME THIS?!?!" he shouted wildly.

 

"You didn't ask, oh Great Sage..." Gaomon replied with a sneaky grin. Jiraiya growled something unaudiable, but he straightened himself and looked at the ninjas.

 

"So? WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU WAITING FOR?!" he shouted impatiently. It was clearly visible that his pride had been struck down, and the ninjas snickered a bit, as they held up their Digivices.

 

"INITIATE DIGIVOLUTION!" they all shouted. All of the Digimon felt a rush of energy at the command. The Chakra had seemed to give an extra kick of energy, as their Digivolutions commenced.

 

"Gabumon! Digivolve to......"

 

"Gaomon! Digivolve to......"

 

"Veemon! Digivolve to......"

 

"Gatomon! Digivolve to......"

 

"Renamon! Digivolve to......"

 

"GARURUMON! GAOGAMON! EXVEEMON! ANGEWOMON! KYUBIMON!" they all shouted as they finished. The familiar shapes of Gaogamon and Garurumon emerged from the light, along with the digivolved forms of Veemon, Gatomon and Renamon. Veemon's digivolved form, ExVeemon, was about two meters tall with pretty muscular arms, chest and legs, a big X-shaped scar on his stomach, and had the looks of a dragon with his white-skinned wings and horned snout. Angewomon, the Ultimate form of Gatomon, was truly graceful with her angelic appearance. Six, pearl-white feather wings were on her back, her body slightly exposed(which made Jiraiya forget all about Renamon and made him squirt nose-blood well into next week), and with a pink silk string around her. Her face was covered by an iron helmet with small ornament wings on each side. And finally, Renamon's digivolved form appeared; Kyubimon. She now stood on four legs, was a bit bigger than before, and she had a 'crown' of some sort around her neck, which was colored red and white in stripes. Her mane around the neck was thicker and bigger, and she had nine, yellow tails with white tips. Everyone was awed at ExVeemon, Angewomon and Kyubimon.

 

"Whooooaaaa......" they all gasped. ExVeemon turned around and showed off his muscles.

 

"Hehehe! Like what you see, eeh?" he smirked. Angewomon just swept past him.

 

"Hmph. Muscles aren't the only power, ExVeemon." she scoffed, and stood next to Hinata.

 

"You should be careful around me." Kyubimon added, and stood in front of Naruto. "I hope I don't intimidate you now?" he was hesitating with his answer. He didn't want to hurt Kyubimon's feelings, but she was awfully close to remind him of the horrible Kyuubi.

 

"Well..." he started, but then, as if she knew what he was about to say, Kyubimon smiled and licked him across the face. "Hehe, stop that! That tickles!"

 

"Haha! I knew you wouldn't take it so bad!" she giggled, and snuggled up her snout to his chest. Naruto smiled a bit and hugged her head, slowly stroking it. Hinata and Shikamaru took some time to get use to their partners' new looks, and after a few minutes, Jiraiya stood up again.

 

"Alright! Now, you will endure one of my special training sessions! You will fight......EACH OTHER!"

 

"W-WHAT?!" the ninjas and digimon faced each other. Were they supposed to fight their digimons like this?!

 

"Don't worry, Rena-chan! I'll be gentle!" Naruto said, and jumped backwards. "Taju Kage Bushin!" several Shadow Clones appeared and charged Kyubimon. She just snarled, as her front paws were covered with blue flames. She lunged forward and attacked the clones. As on command, the other digimon and ninjas began to fight. ExVeemon tried to hit Shikamaru, but he made a hand sign faster than he had time to pull up his fist.

 

"Kage Mane No Jutsu!" he called out, and suddenly, Shikamaru's shadow stopped ExVeemon in his tracks. He groaned at this, but then, his scar began to glow. "V-LASER!" he shouted, and the scar shot out an X-shaped laserbeam at Shikamaru. He was forced to cancel the technique, and ExVeemon was free again, and flied towards Shikamaru, as he clasped his fists together and smashed him into the ground. Shikamaru almost crashed upon the ground, but his agile reflexes allowed him to regain footing and dodge an oncoming knee smash from ExVeemon, as he crashed behind him. Shikamaru pulled up some explosive tag kunais and threw them at ExVeemon. They bounced off his leathery skin, but then, the tags detonated in front of him. He was caught off-guard, and landed on his butt. "OOW!" he groaned, and was about to stand up, but Shikamaru pointed a kunai at him. Shikamaru had won.

 

Kiba and Akamaru were dodging Garurumon's ferocious attacks. "Hehe! You're too slow, Ricky!" Kiba taunted. "You just wait! I'll get ya!" Garurumon replied, and opened his jaws. "HOWLING BLASTER!" icy vapors charged at Kiba and Akamaru, freezing all in its path. Kiba and Akamaru side-stepped the attack, but saw Garurumon charge at them. "You're mine!" he roared, but Akamaru suddenly turned into a clone of Kiba, as they rushed towards him and started to spin around. "FANG-OVER-FANG!" Kiba shouted, as claw met spinning force, struggling to overpower the other. But in the end, Garurumon's claw punched Kiba and Akamaru back, as they pounded into the ground. On Kiba's side, it was his partner that won.

 

As Naruto and Hinata finished their battles, where Naruto won against Kyubimon and Angewomon against Hinata, they lined up in front of Jiraiya, sweating and panting. The digimon reverted(much to Jiraiya's dismay about Angewomon) and were as exhausted as their ninja partners.

 

"Well, good work!" Jiraiya exclaimed. "Now, you will stay here for about two more days to train, and then you will return to the village!" Renamon raised her hand. "Yes...errr, Renamon? What?"

 

"J-Jiraiya-sama...I-I need to...to rest." she panted. "Permission to...to refresh?"

 

"Permission granted, I guess." Jiraiya replied. Renamon disappeared in a cloud of leaves, muttering 'Thank God'. Naruto was kinda shocked, but he knew that Renamon had battled hard today.

Renamon was at a hot spring. The warm, steaming water below her, she felt the heat radiating from it. She felt like the luckiest girl in the world, as she removed what little clothes she had, and slowly sat down. The hot water moistured her skin and sogged her fur, as she let it cover every inch on her body.

 

"Aaaahhhhhhhhh......this...is Heaven!" she sighed happily, and closed her eyes for awhile. She decided to lean against the side, and sat up a bit so her breasts were slightly visible over the surface. She supported her arms at the rocky side of the hot spring and relaxed, closing her eyes. What she failed to hear was that someone was sneaking up to her, and then, she felt a pair of hands massaging her shoulders. At first, she thought it was Naruto, and purred happily. But then, the hands went absetly lower, down her arms, to her chest, and then, they started touching her breasts! "HEY! WHAT THE HELL?!" she flew up and whacked whoever it was who touched her in the face, and sended him flying into a tree. When she looked, she saw Jiraiya with a giant bump on his head.

 

"Owowowowow...." he moaned as he stood up. "Guess my touch wasn't the better one tod-" he suddenly saw Renamon towering above him. "Oh crap..."

 

"THIS...IS...GONNA...HURT!!!" she roared, and prepared to punch Jiraiya.

 

"Not the face!"

The next day, everyone were dead tired, and decided to have a little sleep-morning. They all laid and snored, but eventually, Naruto got up and rubbed his head a bit. He looked over to Kiba's bed, and saw him and Gabumon still asleep, snoring louder than anyone, which suprisingly didn't seem to bother Hinata, Gatomon, Shikamaru, Veemon, Rock Lee, or Gaomon, who were still asleep. Naruto smirked a bit, and then got outside. It was still early morning, and the sun just rose from the horizon as Naruto exited Jiraiya's dojo, which were where they all would stay during their training.

 

"Aah! A new day for Konoha's Number One Ninja; Naruto Uzumaki!" he grinned, and leaped into the air, landing on a tree branch. He soon realised one thing; "Where is Rena-chan? She wasn't in her bed when I woke up. Where could she have went?" he asked himself, but then, as he looked at the ground, he noticed several footsteps, which looked like Renamon's. He curiously leaped down from his branch and examined the footsteps up close. "She must have gone this way!" he figured out, and ran in the directions of the foorprints. After a few minutes of running, he stopped, and could have sworn he had heard the sounds of crying. He closed his eyes, concentrated, and then again, he heard the sound of someone sobbing. He opened his eyes again, and looked in the direction of the noise. Behind a bush. He slowly brushed it aside, and saw Renamon sitting near a waterfall, crying. Her tears glimmering like pearls before falling into the water. Naruto didn't know what was going on, but he decided to comfort Renamon, and walks up to her. "Rena-chan? What's wrong?"

 

Renamon was starled by Naruto's sudden voice, and turned nervous. "O-Oh...n-nothing, N-Naruto..." she stuttered. She soon noticed that Naruto was sitting next to her. "No! Go away! Can't you see I wanna be alone!" her thoughts kept screaming, but then, she found Naruto's prescence calming, and soon relaxed a bit to answer; "W-Well...I just...wanted to be alone for awhile. Then...I began to remember some...really sad things from my childhood...and I cried." she explained, and placed her hand on Naruto's head. "Oh, Naruto. I'm so glad I met you, you know? You're the only one that...that has ever, EVER, seen me as a true friend, and I'm glad for that. It's just that...being with you...makes me feel like there's no trouble in the world at all! And...and...OH NARUTO!" she suddenly cried, and caught him by suprise with a tight hug. She rested her head on his shoulder while slowly sobbing into it. "YOU CAN'T BELIEVE HOW HAPPY I AM TO HAVE MET YOU!"

 

"R-Rena-chan!" Naruto was suprised by Renamon's sudden action, and he didn't believe what he heard. She was happy for meeting him? No one had ever said that to him ever, and he felt both suprised and flattered. He gently stroke Renamon's head with one hand, and hugged her with his other hand and arm. "I...I-I don't know what to say. This...came all too sudden. A-Are you serious?" Renamon slowly lifted her head, and while wiping out her tears, she nodded slowly. "Well, hopefully you're much happier now than before, eh?" he asks. Renamon gives Naruto a quick smile and nods again. "That's the spirit! Never give up, Rena-chan! No matter how hard things look, you got to keep the mood up! Okay?" Renamon nods again.

 

"O-O.K..." she replies, and gives Naruto a peck on the nose. "I...never thought that...someone like you could be so...gentle." she smiled, and leaned her head onto Naruto's shoulder, gazing upon the roaring waterfalls. "Sometimes...I just wish that I would find true love...and finally, thanks to you...I have." at this, Naruto starts to blush.

 

"Naah, t'was nothing!" Naruto chuckled, scratching the back of his head. "I just didn't like to see you cry, and I had this...weird feeling in me. So, I guess that means I love you too." Renamon smiled again, and suddenly, she felt Naruto's hand stroke her back, and she purred happily.

 

"Well, if you'd like to, I could tell you some about my past!" Renamon suggested, and sat up. Naruto smiled a bit. "Well, that would break the boredom!" he replied happily, and Renamon replied by putting him in her lap. "O.K then, but I warn you; My story is not the most...prettiest one..."

 

~Flashback~

 

It was the first day in Digi-School, and all the teenager digimon were early for their first day. As they all sat in the classroom, they chatted about things they've done during their weekends and such, until the teacher, a Babamon, stood at the front desk with her broom in hand.

 

"Ehem! Morning students!" she called out, and the other replied with their usual 'Morning, Ms. Baba!', and stopped chatting. "Now, children, we have a new student in the class, and I wanna make sure that you make her feel at home here!" she waved her broom, and a Renamon stepped into the classroom, slightly nervous, as she fidgeted with her backpack strings. "Now, young lady. Introduce yourself to the class." Baba said, and Renamon straightened up.

 

"Eeh, ahem..." she cleared her throat. "Umm, hi! I'm a Renamon, as you can see...but, uummm, my real name is Renee, and I joined this school to...OW!" she was hit in the head with a paper ball, and the other students laughed at the joke.

 

"Now, now!" Baba stated and banged her broom in the floor. "Let's not be such a bunch of meanies! Let her finish!"

 

"Thanks, Baba. Well, umm, I'm really interested in arts, and as such, I have a small painter room at home. So, I hope to eveolve my arts skills here!" she finished, and sat down near one of the benches.

 

~

 

After half of the schoolday, Renee was out on the schoolgrounds, looking at the trees outside the fence while she carefully scetched them in her scetchbook. She was a true artist, and didn't allow any detail go to waste, her pen almost burning as she whipped it back and forth across the paper sheets. Once she was finished, she looked at her masterpiece, and sighed happily. But then, she was pushed in the back by someone, and she fell to the ground, dropping her scetching. She looked up, and saw thre digimon. A Gazimon, an Impmon, and a LadyDevimon.

 

"Hehe, look at her! She's just a bloody wimp!" the Gazimon said mockingly in a british accent, and the other digimon laughed with him. He noticed the scetches, and picked them up. "Hmm? What's this 'ere, eh? Has the poppet done some nice paintings, eeh?"

 

"GIVE ME THOSE!!" Renee shouted, and slashed at Gazimon. He just jumped away, and waved the scetchings in the air.

 

"Nuh uh uuuuh! Ye have to take 'em from me, poppet!" Gazimon taunts. Renee becomes furious, and lunges at Gazimon. But then, LadyDevimon knocks her down on the ground, and she screams in pain.

 

"AAAH! S-STOP!" she yells, feeling that one of her ribs are broken. The Gazimon walks up to her...and rips her scetch apart in front of her eyes, spraying it like confetti pieces over her.

 

"Naah, we're done 'ere! Let's go, mates!" he commands, and his companions laugh and walk away with him. Renee whimpers a bit, and gathers the ripped-up parts of her scetches in her arms, and cries a bit.

 

~End of Flashback~

 

"R-Rena-chan! That sounds...a-awful!" Naruto gasped, as Renamon finished. Renamon nods slowly, and wipes off a tear from her eye. She looks into the waterfall, and for a second, she believed that she saw three figures play inside the bristling waters. It looked like herself, and her mom and dad. But the image disappeared as Naruto spoke up, and she sighed.

 

"Yeah, it is..." she replied. "That's what I've been enduring for five, long, lonely years...that is...until I met you, Naruto Uzumaki. You're understanding, caring, good-hearted, and you never give up!"

 

"Hehehe, thanks! Well, most of that is true about me, but I just am who I am!" Naruto snickers. "And you know what I'm not going to give up on? That's to protect YOU, Rena-chan! I will help you when you need it! I will comfort you when you're sad! I'll defend you when you're in trouble! I promise you, Rena-chan; That I will never, EVER, let you be hurt or sad! I'll be there for you...always!" Renamon smiles, and hugs Naruto, who hugs her back.

 

"Thank you Naruto..." she whispers.

 

"No problem, Rena-chan." he replied.

As the other ninjas woke up, none of them seemed to ask Naruto and Renamon about why they were up so early. They just smiled and answered; "We wanted some fresh air!" simultaneously. Meanwhile, Jiraiya had gathered them for yet another training session.

 

"A'ight now, listen up!" he commanded. "This training mission will be simple!" everyone mumbled in disagreement, except Lee, who stood tall and proud, listening to Jiraiya's every word. "Your task will be to retrieve a tadpole marked with the Leaf Village emblem in a nearby lake. There's one tadpole for each of you, so don't you dare to think about stealing your teammates' tadpoles!" and with that, he bit his thumb, blood trickling from it, and pressed his palm to the ground. Several black marks appeared, and Jiraiya called out; "Kuchiyose No Jutsu!" and a large smoke cloud erupted from the ground with a loud bang. As the ninjas looked up again, they saw Jiraiya standing on a gigantic toad with red skin and a black vest with white trims on it. It had a wooden pipe in its mouth, and a sheathe with a sword on its right side.

 

"Whoah! What the hell is that?!" shouted most of the Digimons. The toad stared down on them and chuckled slightly.

 

"Who are these whimps?" the toad said. "Are these what they call 'Digimon', eeh? Hahaha! You look like a strange bunch of whimps, if I say so myself!" Jiraiya stomped on the toad's head, though it didn't seem to feel it. It must probably have been just like a mosquito bite for it.

 

"Don't you be rude now, Bunta!" Jiraiya scolded. "My apologies, youngsters! Please meet Gamabunta, also called; The Chief Toad! This is why people call me 'The Toad Sage'!" he explained, and presented the toad as Gamabunta. The Digimons calmed themselves, knowing that Gamabunta was as friendly as he was huge. Gamabunta drew a long breath from his pipe, and blew out a large smoke cloud, which made the ninjas and their partners cough like crazy.

 

"Oops, sorry." chuckled Gamabunta. "Now then, Jiraiya and I will survey your progresses from here, and we will ALSO keep an eye on cheaters!" he added. "Good luck to all of you!" and with that, the ninjas scattered with their partners close behind them. Gamabunta looked after them with a nervous look. "You sure they won't stumble upon any rouge ninjas out there?" he asked Jiraiya.

 

"Well, if they do, I believe that those 'Digimons' will defend their partners. But if something should happen to Uzumaki...I fear that Renamon might be in danger."

Naruto, Hinata, Renamon and Gatomon were searching through the area together, leaping from one tree to another. Hinata stopped awhile to regain her breath, and Naruto halted Renamon and Gatomon.

 

"Hinata? You alright?" he asked, a bit concerned. Hinata nodded and stood up, wiping some sweat from her forehead.

 

"Yeah, just a bit...tired." she replied nervously. She looked a bit at Naruto, starting to blush as she did so. Gatomon and Renamon waited for their partners to give them orders.

 

"Well, this sucks..." Renamon sighed, and laid down on a branch, stretching her back.

 

"Well, I'm not against a little breather." Gatomon smiled, and leaped playfully between two branches, chasing a cricket. "So, Renamon? What have you and Naruto been up to lately?" Renamon flinched a bit, a sweat drop forming on the back of her head. Great. Of all the questions ever possible to ask now, the white little furball had to ask THAT? What should she say? That she and Naruto were making out?! No! She had to cover it up, but with what?

 

"Eeh, erm......w-we've been, errrmm......just relaxing!" she said quickly with a nervous smile. Gatomon cocked her head to one side, but just shrugged.

 

"Hmm, I bet that's boring." she sighed, and leaped back to Renamon's branch, sitting there and grooming herself. "Man, this forest is filthy! I hate being dirty all the time!" she groaned for herself. Renamon just sighed at Gatomon's tidyness. She herself, on another hand, was slightly brushed by dirt and filth here and there, but SHE didn't complain about it. She noticed Naruto waving at them, signaling to leave. She nodded, as she and Gatomon followed.

Kiba and Akamaru had involuntarely joined up with Rock Lee and Gaomon, and Kiba was carrying Gabumon on his back, seeing that he would not keep up with them if he ran himself. Gaomon was able to perfectly keep up the tempo with Rock Lee, which made Gabumon a bit jealous.

 

"Gaah! If I were WereGarurumon now, I'd give him a whack on the nose!" he growled.

 

"Hey, hey! Don't be like that, Ricky!" Kiba calmed him. "I like you just the way you are now! Heh, if you were bigger, then I don't think I could give ya those tickles on the belly that you love!"

 

"Heh, ya got me there, Kiba!" Ricky replied. "But still......I've always dreamed about being bigger...stronger, ya know? Maybe then the ladies would like m-" he stopped, and his eyes drooped down a bit. "Sorry..."

 

"Huh? I haven't said anything?" Kiba wondered.

 

"No. I said 'sorry' to Maria..."

 

"But I thought she was......you-know-what."

 

"Yeah, but I still feel her...somewhere inside of me." Ricky looked at the skies above. "She's with me, somehow...guarding me. I know it!" Kiba smirked a bit.

 

"That's because you promised to forever love her, right? That's what you said."

 

"Y-yeah...I guess so, hehe." Ricky managed to smile some more. "Now then, let's not lose sight of Lee and Gaomon!" Kiba nodded, and speeded up. Meanwhile, Lee and Gaomon were having their own conversation;

 

"I really think this will be great!" Lee said enthusiastically. "Train hard, do your best, and become even better! That's mine and Gai-sensei's motto!" he added. Gaomon just growls quietly.

 

"Hmph...you really seem to admire your Sensei, am I correct?" he asked. Lee nodded. "Heh, thought so...well, I've also had someone I respected."

 

"Really? Who was he?"

 

"I don't want to say it, if that's ok."

 

"I understand, Gaomon. Well, let's not waste anymore time! Let's go!" Lee speeded up a bit, and Gaomon was caught off-guard.

 

"HEY! WAIT FOR ME!!" he shouted, and speeded after. Kiba and Gabumon laughed as they ran after.

After awhile, Renamon, Naruto, Gatomon and Hinata found a giant, but very shallow lake. It glimmered like a sea of stars, and they just stood there and admired it for awhile. After all their time in the Human World, Renamon and Gatomon could not believe that they would find something so beautiful. Suddenly, the water surface bristled a little, and both of the sharp-eyed Digimon saw the small contures of tadpoles in the water.

 

"Hey! That's the tadpoles!" Gatomon exclaimed. "This must be the lake that Jiraiya-sama told us about!" Hinata and Naruto nodded.

 

"Well, let's get 'em!" Naruto grinned, and raced into the lake, clumsily trying to catch the tadpoles. Hinata giggled nervously, Renamon had an Anime-sweatdrop running across the back of her head, and Gatomon facepalmed.

 

"He's sure the Number One Ninja......of Stupidity and Clumsiness!" Gatomon groaned. Renamon nodded agreedingly.

 

"Well, he's just being he, I guess..." she retorted. "Hey, Naruto! I think you should be more careful when catching 'em, O.K?" Naruto looked around, and saw that he had barged right into the lake, his overall and hair were soaked. He chuckled nervously while scratching the back of his head.

 

"Hehehe, guess I wasn't so careful!" he said sheepishly. Renamon and Gatomon went wide-eyed for a few seconds, before both of them Anime-dropped. As they stood up, they all waded into the shallow lake, trying to find the tadpoles marked with the Leaf Village insignia. After about a few hours of searching, however, Lee, Kiba, and suprisingly enough, Shikamaru, arrived at the lake.

 

"Argh! I give up! There's no tadpole we haven't checked left in this stinking lake!" Gatomon growled, and threw the possibly 108:th tadpole back into the lake. "Let's just give up!" Hinata suddenly stood up, and closed her eyes. "Huh? Hinata? What's up?!" Hinata didn't reply, but just stood there. Suddenly, her eyes went open, and the veins around them became thicker, as she called out;

 

"B-BYAKUGAN!" Hinatas vision became clearer, and she could now see even further than usual. "There, I see one! It's right in front of you, Shikamaru!" Shikamaru nodded, acknowledging her command, and made a hand sign.

 

"Kage Mane No Jutsu!" his shadow in the lake bottom stretched towards the tadpole, and once it caught up to its shadow on the bottom, it was motionless. "Kage Mane No Jutsu...is a success." he smirked, and grabbed the helpless tadpole, as it wriggled in his hand. He noticed the insignia of Konoha on its back. "So these are the buggers we're going to find, eh? Easy!" and it truly was, thanks to Hinata's Byakugan vision, and Shikamaru's Shadow Possession Jutsu, they were able to catch the tadpoles with ease.

 

"Alright! Now, let's get back to Jiraiya!" Naruto announced.

As the ninjas and Digimon were heading back towards Jiraiya's dojo, they could not help to feel that they were being......watched, somehow.

 

"Rena-chan..." Naruto said seriously. "I think we're not alone out here..." Renamon nodded.

 

"I feel that way too, Naruto..." she said. "But let's not worry the others." Naruto nodded back, and they kept rushing through the forest. "Hey, Naruto..."

 

"Mm?"

 

"What is it really that follows us, you think?"

 

"I don't know. I just feel this Chakra all around, like a person is here, following us. No doubt the others feel it too, but won't tell each other. It's probably the best if we just...

 

"HESSENDAN!" a voice suddenly shouted, and from several directions at once, tiny bone bullets were fired at the ninjas and their partners. All of them were equally shocked, and did their best to dodge the attack.

 

"HAKKE SHOU: KAITEN!" Hinata shouted, and spinned around in the air, creating a blue dome of Chakra around her, and the bone bullets bounced off. She landed safely on a tree branch, but then, she found herself trapped in a cage of bones. "Aaah! G-Gatomon! Help!" she cried out. Gatomon was about to pounce at the bone cage, but then, she was hit by a barrage of bone bullets, and fell to the ground, unconscious. In the meantime, Kiba, Akamaru and Gabumon had similar problems, and dodged the bullets as good as they could. As one of the bullets hit Gabumon's leg, he winced in pain, and was unable to move. Kiba quickly grabbed him and leaped away, but was only hit by a hailstorm of bullets in the back, almost crippling him. But he ignored the pain, obsessed with keeping Gabumon safe. Naruto saw his determination, and decided to give him some time. He leaped up, and made a hand seal.

 

"Kage Bushin No Jutsu!" Naruto shouted, and several Shadow Clones appeared in the air. All of them charged at the direction of the bone bullets, but then, another volley was fired from the opposite direction, right into their backs! They evaporated into smoke, and Naruto was dumbfound. He KNEW that he saw the bullets come from that direction, so how could they suddenly appear from behind? He gave it a second try, and made a quick eye to Renamon, who nodded. "Kage Bushin No Jutsu!" another group of clones appeared, and charged at the new direction where the bone bullets had appeared. Then, another volley launched from the side. "NOW!" Naruto yelled, and Renamon leaped up, calling; "Fox-Leaf Arrowhead!" and a shroud of diamond shards appeared, slicing the bone bullets and charging at the new direction. Suddenly, two shadows leaped out from the trees, and landed in front of them. One of them was Kaguya Kimimaro, but the other one was way far from bizarre. His skin was slight light-brown, he wore a teal suit with a purple rope tied around it, had black hair strapped up in a spike-ball ponytail, but he had six arm, three on each side!

 

"Hehehe, seems as the wimps figured out our plan faster than we expected, huh, Kimimaro?" the six-armed guy spoke to Kimimaro. Kimimaro just humphed. "Seems so..." he replied. The six-armed one smirked. "Hehe, thought so. Oh, are you still here? Forgive our...ignorance. I am Kidomaru, and this is Kaguya Kimimaro!" he said, introducing himself as Kidomaru. "And we are two of the Sound Five Elite, the personal warriors of Lord Orochimaru. He sees you as a nuisance in his marvelous plan, and therefore, you will have to die." Kidomaru seemed to chew on something, and suddenly, he spat it out, calling; "Ninpou; Kumo Shibari!" and a sticky web was shot towards Renamon and Naruto. Renamon summoned another Fox-Leaf Arrowhead to cut her trap-web, and Naruto pulled out a Demon Windmill Shuriken, a greatly enlarged version of a regular Shuriken, and threw it at his web, which became ensnared instead and fell to the ground. Naruto and Renamon leaped upwards the trees, towards Kimimaro and Kidomaru, and began attacking them. But battling an enemy with six arms was not something to be sniffed at, something that Renamon had to experience as she and Kidomaru batted off each other, then charged at each other again. Naruto, on the other hand, had problems with Kimimaro, who suddenly pulled out a bone from his shoulder and formed it to a sword.

 

"Tsubaki no Mai..." he called out, and suddenly, his movements changed, as he was half-asleep, sluggishly walking towards Naruto. Naruto was of course offended by Kimimaro's arrogance, and charged at him. Kimimaro made a Matrix-looking move, dodging Naruto's fist, and stood hastily upwards, slicing Naruto's arm in the process. Naruto winced in pain, but kept going, and punched after the Bone Ninja. Kimimaro sluggishly dodged again, and his movements resembled those of a sleep-walker. Naruto kept pounding after him, but Kimimaro made one miraculous and unpredictable movement after the other, occasionally counter-attacking. Naruto's overall was beginning to look torn up, but he wasn't giving up! "HAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH! TAJU KAGE BUNSHIN NO JUTSU!!!" after gathering an impressively huge amount of Chakra, he made a hand seal, and perhaps hundreds of clones appeared. "I'll show you the moves of my Uzumaki Chronicles!" he called out, and the clones charged at Kimimaro. "UZUMAKI CHRONICLES; THE UNBLOCKABLE SHURIKEN ATTACK CHAPTER!" the clones shouted, and simultaneously threw Shurikens at Kimimaro. He had other plans, however, and began to spin in a pirouette, saying; "Karamatsu no Mai!" as the Shurikens were deflected as they hit him! "That's a-" he was about to taunt Naruto, but then discovered that in all the commotion, Naruto had ordered a clone to form a Rasengan in his hand, and was now charging at Kimimaro!

 

"HHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! RASENGAN!!!" he shouted, and lunged the sphere at Kimimaro. It exploded, and sended Kimimaro flying and spinning into a mountain far away. Kidomaru was startled. "Kaguya Kimimaro!" he gasped, only to later find Renamon's fist in his face, and he was sent tumbling to the ground below, where he crashed. Renamon and Naruto jumped down, and smiled.

 

"That's how ya do it!" they said simultaneously, and blushed as they heard each other. "Well, that sums it up then!" Naruto later declared, as he freed Hinata from the bone cage. "Let's get back t-" he was about to add, but then, a bone spike pierced his chest.

 

"NARUTO!!!!" Renamon cried, but to her relief, he disappeared in a smoke cloud. Then, two, familiar voices were heard.

 

"Hehehe, seems like you're losing touch, Kaguya!" a voice snickered. "SHUT UP! How could I know it was a Kage Bushin?!" snarled the other one. "Whatever, let's just finish them!" the first one replied. "Agreed..." out from the smoke, two seemingly monstrous figures appeared. But all the ninjas and Digimon knew who they were. Kimimaro was not grey-skinned, had six, thick bones sticking out from his back, a tail with sharp bone spikes on it, and his hair was also grey with a hint towards silver. His eyes gleamed golden, and he had green markings above them. Kidomaru, although they only got a glance at him before he leaped out of sight, had light-brown skin, strange outgrowths on his arms, and his hair was long and silvery. His eyes were more black that golden, and he had also grown a third eye on his forehead. Kimimaro charged at Renamon and Naruto, but then, he was interrupted by Rock Lee, who spun his feet around, calling; "Konoha Senpuu!" Kimimaro blocked the attack, however, and countered with batting away Lee into another tree. Gaomon decided to help Lee, and called out; "Rolling Upper!" in which he jumped at Kimimaro, spinned around, and lunged his fist at him. Kimimaro once again blocked, but Gaomon was quicker to return another punche, calling; "Gao Rush!" and punched Kimimaro point-blank in the gut. He gasped for air, but then grabbed Gaomon's arm.

 

"YOU DAMN FLEA-INFESTED MONGREL!!" he roared, and pulled up Gaomon's face to his, and gave him a rough headbang, in which Gaomon was about to black out. Kimimaro dropped him in mid-air, and batted him down into the ground with his tail. "Time to end this!!" he jumped away, revealing what they had planned all along...

 

"One-Hundred Percent Aim...One-Hundred and Sixty Percent Destructive Power..."

 

Miles away from the battle, Kidomaru held a golden bow made of his own spider web, and was aiming at the battlefield. He was an excellent archer, never missing his targets. He was now aiming at Gaomon, and had the bow thread stretched to the maximum by holding it with his feet, pushing it away, and holding the thread and arrow in his mouth, pulling it closer. The arrow was also golden, and made by his spider web, which hardens as soon as it exits his body, making it nigh indestructable, but also able to penetrate almost anything. Kidomaru chuckled creepily, and released the bow string. "Ultimate...silent...death!"

 

Renamon felt something was wrong. "Naruto! We must get Gaomon and Lee away from here!" she exclaimed. Naruto, who had been batted away by Kimimaro, stood next to her, bruised and wounded. "W-Why, Rena-chan?!" he replied. "Something is...wrong, I don't know! Bu-..." she was interrupted as they all heard a noise. Something that sounded like an arrow soaring through the air. And it was coming closer. Without hesitating, Renamon quickly jumped down to Gaomon, grabbed him, and was about to leap away, until......

 

"G-GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" a piercing, blood-splattering noise was heard, followed by Renamon's scream of pain. Naruto couldn't believe what he saw, and he didn't want to. Renamon was hunched over Gaomon, and in the right side of her chest, a golden arrow stuck out, dripping with blood. "RENA-CHAAAAN!!" he leaped down to Renamon, and held her, trying to make her stand up. "RENA-CHAN! PLEASE, C'MON! STAND UP! RENA-CHAN, YOU CAN'T DIE NOW!!!" Renamon just held his hand, and smiled. "N-Naruto...g-gaah! D-Don't be sorry......I-It wasn't...y-your fault. Y-You did...p-promise me to...t-to protect you, didn't you? Well, isn't that what you're doing now? S-So don't be mad...at yourself, Naruto...I-I'm still...here..." and with that, she collapsed beside Gaomon. She wasn't dead, but Naruto's mind made the quick descition that she was. "R-Rena-chan......" he sobbed slowly, and lied down on her furred body, slowly crying. Kiba, Hinata and Shikamaru, along with their partners, looked down in sorrow. Naruto was out of control with sorrow, crying on Renamon's fur. "R-RENA-CHAN!!! I-I PROMISED TO...T-TO PROTECT YOU!! B-BUT I FAILED!! I ALWAYS FAIL!!!" he sobbed, blaming himself for everything. Kimimaro, on the other hand, chose the exact wrong moment to taunt him. "Hehe..hehahahaha! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! THAT'S RIGHT, YOU BRAT! She's dead! And there's nothing you could have done to save her! You're a failure, from start to end! No one ever wants you around, and we all know why! Because YOU are the bearer of a Jinchuuriki! DEMON SPAWN! DIE!!!" he charged at Naruto, and bones spiraled around his arm, creating a spike. He lunged the spike at Naruto, but then, he grabbed it! "W-WHAT?!?!"

 

From Naruto's hand, a red Chakra began to emitt, and grow larger. His nails grew, and sharpened into claws, at which Kimimaro pulled away his spike-arm. "W-WHAT IS THIS...THIS C-CHAKRA?!?!" he exclaimed, as Naruto continued to channel the Chakra, which now envenloped his entire body. The Chakra suddenly started to take a liquid form, and formed into clawed paws around Naruto's hands and feet, and a pair of ears at his head. He stood on all four, like an animal, growling and slobbering saliva, as the liquid Chakra grew in size and density around him. Suddenly, the Chakra formed something around his rear end, and stretched itself outwards forming something. A tail.

 

"GGGGGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Naruto roared in rage, and a shockwave was caused of the pure power he emitted, causing Kimimaro, Kiba, and the others to fly backwards, colliding with trees and other obstacles. Naruto's eyes were now revealed. They were burning with a furious, blood-red fire, and his pupiles were slit-formed. The whisker-scratches on his cheeks were slightly expanded, and in his mouth, two fangs were revealed. "YOU! YOU DAMN FREAK!!! YOU KILLED RENA-CHAN!!!!" he roared at Kimimaro. "I'M GONNA BREAK YOU!!!! I WILL KILL YOU, EVEN IF IT MEANS THAT I HAVE TO BREAK EVERY BONE IN MY BODY, THEN SO BE IT!!!!!!!!!!" he rushed on all four towards Kimimaro, and slashed at him with the red Chakra arm, which sended him flying through several trees, and violently colliding with Kidomaru a few miles away!!

 

"UUGH! WHAT THE HELL, KAGUYA?!?!" Kidomaru groaned in pain as Kidomaru stood up. "I-I DON'T KNOW!! HE'S A MONSTER!" Kimimaro replied. Kidomaru just sneered and made another web arrow. "Well, let's KILL the frickin' monster!!" he snarled, and Kimimaro caught the order, rushing back to Naruto. His bone spike reformed and he charged at Naruto. "TESSENKA NO MAI!!" he roared. "FLOWER!" he pierced Naruto, elbow, but he just growled angrily at Kimimaro, and the wound closed itself up, foring Kimimaro's spike to stay inside. "RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" he roared, and raised his fists, and with Kimimaro stuck in him, he gave him a beating beyond redemption. Kimimaro was now bleeding in several parts, and his bones were broken, even if he had the ability to regenerate them, it hurt like hell. Suddenly, he saw Naruto charged up a Rasengan, but this one was coated in the liquid red Chakra that was around him. "N-NOO!! PLEASE, DON'T DO IT!!!!!" he screamed and pleaded, bur Naruto ignored his pleas, and lunged the sphere at him. "RAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSSEEEEEEEEEEEEEEENNNNNNNNGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

 

From miles away, Kidomaru could hear and see Kimimaro getting anninhilated by the Rasengan enhanced by the red Chakra, but he stayed focused on Naruto, aiming his arrow. "One-Hundred Percent Aim...One-Hundred and Sixty Percent Destructive Power..." he chanted, and soon, he saw Naruto charging at him! He smirked, seeing that he moved in a straight line. "Ultimate...silent...death!" he released the arrow, but then, he was surprised as Naruto suddenly disappeared in a flimmer of shadows! "W-WHAT?! IMPOSSIBLE!! HOW DID H-GAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!" Kidomaru was suddenly strangled by a firm claw, as Natuto held his throat. He growled and snarled, and aimed his claw at Kidomaru's back. "N-NO!!! HAVE MERCY!!!" Kidomaru managed to cry, but Naruto went on, and punched his claw through Kidomaru's back and chest. "G-GGGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" both Kidomaru and Kimimaro were dead. Naruto stared into the skies, and gave out a loud roar, before collapsing, the red Chakra disappearing.

Naruto's eyes flickered open, and he found himself inside Jiraiya's Dojo, lying in a bed. He had several bandages around his left arm, his head and right leg, and he could feel a distant, but searing pain in it. He managed to sit up at least, and looked around. Kiba, Hinata, Shikamaru, and Rock Lee had been in the same room as him, and were happy that Naruto woke up. They rushed over to him, and continued to ask him if he was okay, which he quickly replied with answers such as 'Yes' and 'I'm fine'.

 

"So, you're OK then?" Ricky asked. Naruto nodded, and tried to sit up, but failed as the pain seared through his body, and he lied down again. "Be careful Naruto! You're still wounded, that's what Jiraiya said! You need to recover!"

 

"I-I guess so......" Naruto lied down again, and Gatomon laid down on his chest, curling up and looking at him.

 

"We were kinda worried that you had lost control back there." she said, worried. Naruto's face showed a flash of guilt. He knew that he had turned into the Kyuubi, for there was blood stains on his overall as he woke up. He knew that it had been released again, and had harmed more, innocent people. Well, maybe not innocent ones, but it COULD have been! He sighed sadly. "What's wrong, Naruto?"

 

"N-Nothing......" he replied, and looked around himself again. He saw everyone there. Everyone.........exept one. "W-Where's Rena-chan?"

 

"What? We haven't seen her since she was treated for her wounds." Hinata replied. "She just...disappeared." Naruto suddenly went desperate, and sat up, ignoring the flashing pain.

 

"B-But where is she?!?" he shouted. "Didn't she say where she was going?! She must have told you where she was going?!" Shikamaru shook his head.

 

"I'm afraid that she didn't tell us a thing. She was gone before Jiraiya-sama returned to treat her, but she left something..." he held up an unopened letter. Naruto grabbed it and ripped it open, reading the note;

 

Naruto...

 

After what happened back in the forest, I couldn't help but to feel guilty for what happened. Yes, Naruto. I managed to see you become that...that monster, all because of me being an idiot to rush away like that. If I just hadn't been wounded, you never had to turn into that demon again. I realise now that I'm too much of a risk to be with you, so I'm leaving now. If you'd like to meet me though, I'll be at the Hokage Stone Faces.

Naruto felt how his world collapsed above him. Renamon was going to leave him, just because she had caused him to turn into the Kyuubi. Naruto never wanted this to happen, but now it had. He suddenly threw off his sheets, and barged right out of the bed, putting on his overall.

 

"Hey, Naruto! You're not supposed to do that!!" Lee exclaimed. "You're supposed to stay in bed until you healed up!" Naruto just looked at Lee with sad eyes.

 

"Look, Fuzzy-Brows, I don't care if I get more injured, or if I never will be able to move again! But Rena-chan is out there, and I'm gonna find her! She htinks that it was her fault that I turned Kyuubi on those two freaks, but I will prove her wrong! I-I......I don't want her to leave me, guys. She's...everything for me. I swear. Ever since the day we met, I've felt that there's something...special between us, you know? I think I know what it is. It's love. She loves me, and I love her! That's that! And I don't want that fact to change no matter what! Tell Jiraiya...that I'm looking for her..." he ran outside, and slammed the sliding door shut. Lee and the others just stared after him, until Lee spoke up;

 

"Did he just call me...Fuzzy-Brows?"

Naruto was just running across the forests. He didn't care if his other leg was bad or not, he just wanted to find Renamon. The clouds above darkened, and before Naruto knew it, lightning streaked across the skies, and it started to rain. Naruto stopped awhile, and gazed up on the raining skies. It was as if the skies cried, along with Naruto's tears on the inside. He was deeply sad, because he had let Renamon down, and broken his promise. To forever protect her. He had failed her, and now it felt like it all was at an end. He sat down on his knees, and slammed his fists into the muddy forest floor, crying. His tears mixed with the rain, and fell down on the ground.

 

"I-I've failed you...R-Rena-chan..." he stuttered and sobbed. "I-I-I promised...t-to protect y-you...b-but I-I failed y-you. I-I didn't want...a-anything of this to happen...b-but it just did...R-Rena-chan...I-I love you. I love you too!!!" he cried out, and slammed his fists down again. He cried without end, but then, he stood up, still crying. "I-I-I got...t-to see her...o-one last time..." he wiped out his tears, and looked ahead of himself. The road to the Hokage Stone Faces were just ahead. He nodded, and rushed on.

Renamon sat on the carved stone face of Yondaime Hokage, looking across the Konoha Village. She was in deep regret, both of coming here in the first place, and of having her Partner turned into a bloodthirsty monster. She just glared down at the slick, smoothly carved forehead of the statue face, slightly slippery because of the rain that streamed down and soaked her fur, but she didn't care. Her tears were equally soaking her cheeks, and she cried for all she was worth.

 

"N-Naruto..." she sobbed. "I-I failed you......b-because...I-I made you b-break...your promise. Y-You promised me......t-to protect m-me...no m-matter w-what. B-But...I was such an idiot. I-I just...w-wanted t-to...protect...m-myfriends...b-but that only made you......i-into a monster! I-I'm the one to b-blame!" she cried again, and held her face with her hands, the tears just streaming between them. She didn't even hear the footsteps approaching behind her, and then, she felt a hand on her shoulder.

 

"R-Rena-chan?"

 

"AAAHH!!" Renamon was freaked out, and then, something happened that none of them wanted.

 

She slipped.

 

As Renamon stood up, she slipped on the forehead of Yondaime Hokage's stone face, and fell downward.

 

"AAH! RENA-CHAN!!!" Naruto immidiently leaped after her. "KAGE BUSHIN NO JUTSU!!" two shadow clones appeared, and held his feet, puching him downwards, as Naruto reached his arms towards Renamon. But then, she punched them away!

 

"NO! NARUTO, I'M NOT WHAT YOU WANT!!!" Renamon protested. "LET ME GO!!" Naruto ignored her, and embraced her in his arms.

 

"NO, DAMMIT!! RENA-CHAN! YOU'RE JUST BEING CHILDISH!!" Naruto retorted, and held her tighter. "I-I...I LOVE YOU!!" at these words, Renamon just froze, and held around Naruto, as they both fell, and fell, for seemingly an eternity, until Naruto called; "HANG ON NOW!!!" and flipped around, as they landed in a lake below.

"O-OOOWW!! Not so hard, Rena-chan!"

 

"S-Sorry! Did it hurt?"

 

"Of course it hurt! Daaaaaaammit, I totally back-flopped!"

 

Renamon and Naruto were completely soaked, and even with the rain flowing down, they sat inside a small cave as refuge, and Renamon was treating a wound on Naruto's back, which he had got when he back-flopped into the lake, saving her from drowning. Renamon was gently rubbing Naruto's back in a massage, and Naruto was just glad that it wasn't worse.

 

"Hehe, you know, I thought you wrote that you were going to leave..." Naruto remarked, and chuckled.

 

"What?" Renamon was a little lost in thought.

 

"The letter, remember?" Naruto remembered her. "You wrote that you were leaving." Naruto now turned to her, and Renamon was slightly impressed as her hands were now rubbing his bare chest. "You weren't leaving now, were you?"

 

"N-No..." Renamon admitted, and bit her lip a bit in embarrasment. "Y-You look kinda nice..." Naruto noticed her looking at his chest, and chuckled nervously.

 

"H-Hehe, well, I guess I'm pretty handsome!" he admitted, and then noticed something weird with the mane around Renamon's chest, and gently brushed it aside.

 

"N-Naruto! What are y-!" Renamon tried to stop him, but then, with her mane removed, her breasts were exposed. They were quite normal-sized. Not too small, nor too big. Normally, Naruto would have gone as crazy as Jiraiya, drooling and squeezing them, but he was just flabbergasted, and stared at those mounds of her.

 

"R-Rena-c-chan..." Naruto stuttered, and looked up at her face. "Y-You're gorgeous!" Renamon was shocked. She thought that Naruto were going to rub and squeeze her breasts like a crazed pervert, but he just...looked at them. And that seemed to be just fine for him. She blushed a bit after realising Naruto's remark.

 

"N-Naaaah, hehehe, you're making me blush!" she giggled. "Well, your chest is kinda...tense..." she smirked, and bended forward, slipping out her tongue, and gave his chest a shy lick.

 

"R-Rena-chaaaannn.....ooohhh, that's so great..." Naruto gasped a bit, and laid down, with Renamon over him. He smiled, and fondled Renamon's cheeks. "Rena-chan, I love you so much..." he pulled himself up to Renamon, and their lips met in a deep, passionate kiss. Renamon and Naruto carresed their tongues inside their mouths, and fondled each and every inch of each others bodies. They were in a personal heaven, and nothing could ruin it. After about ten minutes, they broke free, and gasped for air.

 

"M-Man! You're so good at this, Naruto!" Renamon smiled, and lied next to Naruto, fondling his chin.

 

"Y-Yeah, and you were like an angel!" Naruto replied, and slowly stroke Renamon's stomach. Renamon giggled, and took his hand up to her breast. "R-Rena-chan! I'm not supposed to touch a woman there!"

 

"Ooh, but you can, if the woman allows you to." Renamon replied, slightly seductive. "And I allow YOU and only YOU to touch me there, OK?" Naruto gulped, but nodded, and held her breast. Renamon smiled. "Let's sleep now..." she added, and kissed Naruto's nose.

 

"Y-Yeah, and let's go back to the others tomorrow!" Naruto added, and let go of Renamon's mound, and kissed Renamon's lips, as he snuggled up to her, hugging her. "I love you, Rena-chan..."

 

"And I love you, Uzumaki Naruto..." she whispered back, and hugged Naruto back, stroking his hair. They both fell asleep in each others arms, and with the happiest of smiles on their faces.
