Awesome! Thanks. Got an advertisement in my sig for the moment (dunno which banner to use ATM).

I wish there were more than 7 palaces in Zelda 2. The game just felt a bit short and lacking. Sure, it was good and challenging back in the day. I wouldn't mind seeing a remake with better graphics, more palaces, or even a stage/map editor for a custom experience.

I'm surprised you haven't heard of it. It's considered the 'Black Sheep' of the Zelda series.

It was released for the NES in 1987. It had a different style than the overhead view (Original and Link to the Past) and 3rd person (Ocarina of Time and onward). Sure, it had an overhead view for the main map, but you fought on a 2D plane (sidescroller style). You gained experience from killing things and could Level up (much like an RPG) 3 stats - Attack (Higher = harder you hit), Magic (Higher = less MP spent for spells), and Life (Higher = more defense). You had to fight through 6 palace scattered throughout the two parts of Hyrule (West and East) and set 6 Crystals into 6 Stone Statues in order to open the way to the Great Palace that held the Triforce of Courage - which is needed to awaken Princess Zelda.

It was released for the NES, but was also remade for the GBA and is available for download on the Wii Shop Channel for 500 points. It's worth playing and it's my favorite Zelda game of the entire series (even more than Ocarina of Time).

Awesome. Might pick that one if you don't make one for Zelda 2.

Speaking of Link to the Past, I used to have a guide I typed a couple of years back that described how to fight every single boss in the game without taking a single hit. I don't have it anymore, but I remember one part of it:

Armos Knights

Just stand in one of the bottom corners. The knights will dance around and never hit you. You can move slightly away from the corner and shoot arrows as they dance around or wait until they line up and take them down as they march at you. When there is one left, just move from side to side and fire an arrow when it lands. The farther away you move from it, the higher it has to jump to try and hit you, which gives you more time to get away from it and line up your arrow shot.

Ok. I'm now creating a Ranking System. The person with the highest amount of "Triforce Points" [TP] will become Co-Leader. I on the other hand have Inf. points. Because, well I created the group >.<' The Co-Leader can be overcome if another person earns more points then them. To earn "TP" you must give Information about any Zelda game, Create little zelda animations and more "helpful stuff". There can be another leader if a user gets over 100 000 points. You get about 100 TP for an animation, 50 TP for a banner and 25 for information & guides about Zelda. People who join automatically get 10 TP. You have just given a Guide and Information. You now have 60 TP. Guess what... YOUR TEH CO-LEADER ^_^

Oh, I can give any information on the following games:

Legend of Zelda

Zelda 2: The Adventure of Link

Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past

Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

[spoiler=More fun info]Remember the Sages from Ocarina of Time (Rauru, Ruto, Saria, Darunia, and Nabooru)? Well, they're named after towns from Zelda 2.

Rauru = First town in West Hyrule where you can get the spell Shield

Ruto = Second town in West Hyrule where you can get the spell Jump after retrieving the trophy from the cave in the nearby desert

Saria = Third town in West Hyrule where you can get the spell Life by finding a mirror in an abandoned house. This town is also the gateway to Death Mountain, but you have to find Bagu's Note in a forest just north of the town across the bridge

Nabooru = Fifth town (First in East Hyrule) where you get the spell Fire by getting some water from the water fountain

Darunia = Sixth town (Second in East Hyrule) where you get the Upward Stab and the spell Reflect by finding the child on Maze Island

Wondering about Impa? Well, she was the same as in Ocarina of Time - Zelda's caretaker.

They did name another character in Ocarina of Time after a town from Zelda 2.

Mido (the 'leader' of the Kokiri) was named after the fourth town in West Hyrule where you can get the Downward Stab as well as the spell Fairy by finding the Water of Life in the first swamp you come across in the game (Mirugi Swamp, not Midoro Swamp where the palace is). The spell Fairy is required in order to reach the Island Palace.

Unfortunately, it doesn't appear that anyone in Ocarina of Time was named after the town Kasuto. Kasuto was actually 2 towns in Zelda 2 - and they were both located around the Sixth Palace and the Great Palace region. There was the original town (located just west of Three Eye Rock where the Sixth Palace is located) that was overrun by invisible Moas where you could learn the spell Thunder, but only after you visited the Hidden Town of Kasuto located in the northeastern forest (you needed to cut down trees with the Hammer to find it) and get the spell Spell (Lame name, right?) as well as the Skeleton Key (which is what the spell Spell is really only good for to open up the building to get it. The spell by itself just transforms few enemies into weaker ones).

I'll even give you some good places to Level Up in Zelda 2:

Forests outside Zelda's Palace - Try and get hit by the Strong Guy (the one that looks like a figure, not a blob). You'll come across 2 Moblins worth 10 EXP each (and they drop money bags worth 50 EXP sometimes).

Palaces - See those glowing skulls that bounce off walls? They take a lot of hits to kill at first, but each one you defeat will net you 50 EXP. Just don't get hit by them since they steal some of your Magic.

Forests outside the Sixth Palace - Try and get hit by the Weak Guy (the one that looks like a blob, not a figure). You'll come across orange dinosaur knights with shields that are worth 150 EXP each (and they drop money bags worth 200 EXP sometimes).

Since I'm on a roll, I'll give the club the locations of the Heart Containers and Magic Bottles in Zelda 2:

Heart Containers

1) South of Parapa Palace (the first one) in West Hyrule

2) In a cave with a boulder in front of it east of Midoro Swamp (where the second palace is) in West Hyrule (Need the Hammer from Death Mountain)

3) North of the Fifth Palace in East Hyrule (need Winged Boots from Fourth Palace)

4) East of Three Eye Rock along the coast in East Hyrule

Magic Bottles

1) In a cave south of Zelda's Palace in West Hyrule

2) Break the boulder next to the cave where you get the Hammer in Death Mountain in West Hyrule

3) Hug the outer west wall of Maze Island (where the Fourth Palace is located as well as the lost child you need to get the spell Reflect) and fall into a cave with the Bottle in East Hyrule

4) Talk to the old lady wearing blue in Hidden Kasuto after you found the other 3 Magic Bottles in East Hyrule

Why not? Let's make it nine. I'll tell you the Spells in Zelda 2 and how to get them

Shield - Town of Rauru. You don't need anything to get it.

Jump - Town of Ruto. You need the trophy from the cave in the neighboring desert. [You need this spell to get through the game]

Life - Town of Saria. You need to find a mirror in an abandoned house. It's not hard to find. It's in the first building in the second section of the town. You go in and press B in front of the table. You'll get a message saying "I found a mirror under the table".

Fairy - Town of Mido. You need the Water of Life from the cave with a boulder in front of it in Mirugi Swamp (and you need the Hammer from Death Mountain to break it). [You need this spell to reach the Island Palace and to navigate through some of the later palaces]

Fire - Town of Nabooru. This one is easy to get. Just stand in front of the water fountain next to the house of the lady complaining about water and press B to get some water. Talk to the lady again and she'll let you inside to get the spell. [You need this spell to hurt the Tektites and Armored Lizards]

Reflect - Town of Darunia. You need the lost child located on Maze Island located in the southeastern part of the island. [You need this spell to defeat Carook, the boss of Maze Palace]

Spell - Hidden Town of Kasuto. Find an abandoned house with an interior chimney with a hole in it and go inside to get the spell. [You need this spell to get the Skeleton Key located at the far end of the town]

Thunder - Old Town of Kasuto. You can only get this spell when you have visited the Hidden Town of Kasuto and have the other 7 spells. [You need this spell to be able to hit the Thunderbird in the Great Palace]
