Dryad
Their was once a boy, merely three years old. He lived in a suburbs and played with the other children and felt accepted. His family began to tear apart as the father moved somewhere far from the son and wife. Shortly after the mother couldn't pay for her home and had to move from the suburbs, the suburbs that the boy lived in was more to the boy then anywhere he visited for he felt strong bonds in that place. His next home was more part of a larger city. Although their was a playground, he barley lived near any children which separated him from that time of fun. He had to move again with his mother and this time his father as well to a small town that was like a isolated paradise in a desert. It was fun their for the for their was a another child who lived next to each other. This fun lasted for a year or so until he was forced to travel to a new home in a more reminder of his first home. This new home in the forest made him feel at home but then the children their being human saw him nothing more then a freak, a outcast if you will. For those next 6 years he has lived in that same village where most of the other children see him as a outcast and nothing more. He will stumble upon something that changes fact from fiction, life from death, but can he handle this power or become corrupted by it and become the very icon of fear and death? -------------------------------------------------------------- Merlin was walking home from school with his head down. Not because he failed yet because he was considered more of a freak for he accidentally tapped into hidden magic he was unaware of that he had created vines he couldn't control that trapped his class mates and teacher. He considered suicide a option several times in his life, but never went threw with it for he felt he was living for a greater purpose, one that wouldn't let him die a miserable death. On his way he bumped into a girl who had dropped her bag. He got down and began to help her put the fallen items back in, surprisingly nothing had broken to pieces. He touched a small gargoyle statue, the statue began resonating with a red glow. The girl took quick notice and swatted his hand from the gargoyle. "Don't Touch That!" She said loudly. "Why?" Merlin asked puzzled. "These are ancient artifacts from a time when a sickening king known as Sverec ruled with. He used these to destroy towns, mountains and spread the seas with them. The one you touched is know as Gorgack, the Gargoyle King." She explained in the elven language he could understand. "Why is it not glowing in your hand when it was glowing when I touched it?" He asked taking notice on the gargoyle not glowing anymore. She was about to say something but paused and wondered about that to. Was he actually the reincarnate of Sverec or is he a incarnation of the sealer of the unknown man who had slain Sverec and sealed the 13 relics away? "My name is Kimi, I will..." She was about to say when interrupted. "Oh looky here guys, a couple of freaks and toys." One of the arrogant students said and took the gargoyle from her hands. Merlin leaped up and grabbed hold of the gargoyle statue. Both Merlin and the student began tugging the statue more and more while it glowed and shined and began to crack. A shock wave hit all sending Merlin Kimi back along with the humans flying into a bush the opposite direction. A fiery pillar stood and was connecting to the sky. The sky opened up a vortex as a large 3 stories tall gargoyle began to come out of the vortex and flew next to Merlin. "What is thy wish, master?" It asked with a dark and low tone but also a obeying tone, like a loyal soldier. The gargoyle stared at Merlin. Merlin felt a weird energy that he could grasp and use to use as pay back to these humans for treating him like a outcast. "DESTROY ALL THE HUMANS AND MAKE THEM PAY FOR THEIR CRIMES!!!" He yelled to the gargoyle, which nodded and turned to the students who were bulling him just a minute ago and now were hiding behind a bush scared of the gargoyle that Merlin had summoned. "Please spare us!!!" The student bullies screamed to the gargoyle, the gargoyle didn't care he was just following orders. The gargoyle began to stomp down on the humans who narrowly escaped the gargoyles foot, the gargoyle continued to attack the students who ran as fast as they could from the gargoyle. Merlin was laughing evilly as the creature he released made its way and decided to punish those who treated him wrongly. "GARGOYLE!!! QUIT PLAYING AND...."He was about to finish what he was about to say until interrupted. "Merlin! Please Stop! I know they treated you with no honor or respect but please thats human nature." Kimi said clinging onto him and crying. Merlin was frozen, he wondered why she was crying and telling him to stop then he looked up and saw a gargoyle who was awaiting his order of what to do with the mere mortals the gargoyle had in its hand. Kimi was still crying, begging him to stop. As if by a old habit he raised his right arm and was about to make a hand sign of his thumb pointing to the ground signifying finish them. Kimi kissed him on the lips for a long moment, reviving Merlin's earliest moments of happiness and bliss he had. Merlin forgot about the gargoyle, the mean people he had to deal with and merely was only thinking about the kiss. The gargoyle turned not back to stone but rather into a mere playing card that glowed red. To Be Continued...
