Guest JoshIcy
I myself am gay. and i find topics such as these insulting. Anybody should be allowed marriage' date=' it is not [i']wrong[/i]. Who says two people of the same sex cannot marry nor show their affection in public? Homosexuality is part of nature, just accept it. I beg to differ. If it weren't there wouldn't be gay people... OMGAKITTY
As far as rights go, I don't see why they can't have the same rights as married couples. As far as actual marriage...I don't know...I still see marriage as a religious institute (despite it now being governmental >_> ) So....meh. Brentxbanshee
People are not born gay thats the biggest pot of hogwash, I actually am gay and no I wasint born that way. It can be brought apon alot of ways one being the spirit of homosexuality, or some people would call it the spirit of perversion. I am not trying to offend anyone, but it offends me when people say your born that way. For the most part its a choice. I choose to sleep with men, But I cant choose who im attractived to its all very complicated and no one has all the awnsers only there thoughts. Guest JoshIcy
~Emo~ you're turning into a n00b/troll... Stop it. Your opinions are nothing short of pure bias. And your response to him was incomplete, as is many of your posts that say something you "feel" shouldn't have much more said. But that also leaves your posts as Spam. No matter how many quotes are above it, or you think that's all you need to be said. Post more content and be more open... And just for you, I'll eliminate any sort of contest this thread can hold and simply leave it to a y/n response. 1) Choice is always a factor.2) Love is Love.3) Marriage had an Original Intent as stated by the "Bible".4) That Original Intent has evolved with the times, and thus is just about Love. 5) Gay people may or may not have been born that way, but they still choose it. My god... Grow up.
problematica
About the whole not born gay thing:There kind of has been research into the subject and there are some common genetic links between a majority of gay men, which means that being homosexual could actually also be a genetic variation that people can be born with. Brentxbanshee
I think your getting at the X chromosom men acting girly hogwash. Which doesint explain how women are lesbains so it isint relavent. Iceyblue good points however the bible hasint changed and we were still founded on chirtstian beilives so the "intent" of marridge hasint changed, Unless you simply mean what people want has changed which really has nothing to do with the bible. I may want to wed a shitzu one day but is it going to be legal. I say give them/us cival union. It doesint offend anyone.
~Emo~
Wait, on my last post I meant to say that gay men can't have babies, only transvestites can.
Guest JoshIcy
@Brent: I said that its ORIGINAL intent was stated by it.But the intent of marriage has changed beyond that... And no longer JUST a religious thing.
Brentxbanshee
transvestites cant because they only dress up as the other gender. A trensgender post op cannot either because they cannot give a man reproductice organs only the illusion of one.

problematica
Gay men don't have babies. Doesn't have to do with actually being related' date=' merely that there are genetic similarities. I think your getting at the X chromosom men acting girly hogwash. Which doesint explain how women are lesbains so it isint relavent. Studies are mostly done with searching for the reasoning behind homosexual men as it would be easier to map chromosomal patterns than with women. If there is a pattern for men then it would help to find evidence of a pattern in women. But acting "girly" has nothing to do with sexual orientation, I'm not even aware of a study measuring men being "girly".But there have been chromosomal similarities found in numerous case studies of homosexual men. There is the X chromosome similarity that has been previously found at the Xq28m, but in more recent times (2005) there have been links at the 8p12, 7q36 and 10q26.There is another issue with mothers born with a strange deactivation of an X chromosome during the embryo stage. There is a higher percentage of those with this skewing having homosexual sons than those without. 4% having heterosexual sons, 13% having 1 homosexual son, and 23% having 2 homosexual sons (The other 60% was never really said much of, possible because of their irrelevance as to having no children or their lacking of sons, but it does not exclude other mothers with heterosexual sons)There is also the connection of later siblings to brothers have a higher chance of being homosexual. As male fetuses produce HY antigens which heavily affect sexual orientation, the mother's body produces HY antibodies so that they cannot affect the hosts body. So with future male fetuses the antibodies are attacking the HY antigens at earlier stages and prevent them from doing their jobs properly. I'm know there are more that I'm not aware of, but I can't remember them right now.
Phantom Roxas
Yes, gays should get married. It doesn't ruin society, and those religious people obsessed with heterosexual marriage only need to STFU. Just because people have different faiths doesn't mean they can't get married. Also, any straight person in this topic that votes no is a Nazi.
Brentxbanshee
Once agian hogwash, very good show though. What I ment by girly, is the X being more dominate the Y which would make a man more womenly which in return people confuse with homosexuality. Its a very good hypothosis I guess but care to explain why women are lesbians? There is no proof the chromosom therory doesint work there becuase of the double X's women have. It's actually more theorized that people have lied and that there is a higher percentage of homosexuals in the studies since they are required to ask sexual orientation for these procedures. The lying theory only works when pointing out the embarrasment many feel for their sexual orientation.Did you not read the first sentence in my reply to your quote? Studies are done looking at homosexual men because it is easier to map their X chromosomes. If it is proven far enough, it would help to find what is needed to show a similar connection among homosexual women.
