Guest Blud
My Bloody ChroniclesBy BludMonkey Considering I'm as bored as Hell, I figured I'd write about my story hear on YCM. It's a biography, so you'll be reading a lot of my thoughts as well...so don't hate me if you're included. =/
My Bloody Chronicles]
Me and ArceusBlue]I was into making Yu-Gi-Oh cards a long time before I figured out the card maker. Me and my friend (Username "ArceusBlue") were big fans of Yu-Gi-Oh. We bought cards, dueled, went to tournament's together, and had a ball. But the first ever Yu-Gi-Oh cards I got was before I even met him. I was living in townhomes and made a few friends who introduced me to the game, and I was intrested. When my birthday party came up, and all my friends in the townhomes were invited. You can probably guess what I got...Yu-Gi-Oh cards, of course! They were not very good, but this was during the early years of the game. I was 12, and it was the year of 2005 doing the math. So about a year later, we moved into a regular suburb, in a regular house. It felt good to be in a bigger home, but I admit I missed the townhomes a bit. I was in 7th grade now, which was the year I met ArceusBlue. We became good friends, leading us back to the beginning of this story. Like I said, we both liked Yu-Gi-Oh and became best friends from it. For a while we just collected cards, traded, dueled, and tournied (I made that word up. =)), but soon after, he showed me some cards that he created. What an idea! Why didn't I think of that? I asked him if I could make some, and he said sure, so I went to get a deck of index cards and started jotting down some ideas. I was really into it, but ArceusBlue's drawings seemed to be better than mine, but I was better at OCG (I didn't even know the term until I joined YCM.) Index cards were a good idea, but my money was running low, so I was forced to use regular paper. It looked terrible, so I went to my virtual life and Googled a card maker. I wasn't very lucky at first, but I got closer everytime. I started by keywording "create your own Yu-Gi-Oh cards," but that didn't help. I kept getting more specific, like adding "online" or "free", or even "free online". Just got the same thing over and over again. Until finally I went more generic and types "Yu-Gi-Oh card creator". I was close, but not exactly on there. So I switched "creator" to "maker", and that got me here. I was amazed by how easy and realistic the cards were. I planned to tell ArcuesBlue, but I forgot the URL (curse my stinking ADD. >.<). I found it later, and I remembered, and told him. He was amazed, too, so we started making cards like mad. Since we couldn't save them on the site, we had to save them to our regular computer documents.
Creation of tuffguy1992]It was about several months later when I joined. My mouse stumbled upon the YCM logo at the top-left corner of the page, and clicked it. I saw a forum there. It intrested me to see other people's cards, but what got me to join was the 'Your Deck' section. I joined, then, as tuffguy1992. Kind of a noobish name considering I'm elite now, but that was my username for everything back then. Anyways, the first thread I posted was my real-life deck. It was a DARK deck that was pretty decent, but there were some cards that were needed, and some that were not. There were only four replies, but that was alright. The next thing I did was made a contest...a DARK contest, to be specific, considering I loved DARK monsters. It ended well, but at first I didn't know I had to include prizes. I freaked out and said I'd lock it, but it was easier than I thought. So I posted them, and it ended normally. I distributed the prizes and just continued along. So I did a bunch of other crap that's not important until I made what seemed to me the first ever card making tournament. I didn't know if there were any other ones existant, but I made it anyway. It didn't go as well as planned, but prizes were still given out normally. I, then, came across a game thread called "Corrupt a Wish". It looked fun, so I played that a while. When it got boring, I played some other games, and later joined a club known as "The RDA (Real Duel Academy)". I was a part of that club for quite some time. I participated in contests, roleplays, and kind of made some discussions, but I look back at it as not so satisfying. Now for the first (and last) time I got banned. I got this idea of helping noobs (because I was one =/) with a thread known as "Salvation YCMaker". I expected some respect by it, but the first post I got was: guess what? This could be scam. I was desperate! I didn't know what to do. I then saw that everyone who posted said it was scam. I tried to convince them it's not' date=' but no one believed me cause I was only two-stars. I was banned by Tkill not so many posts later, and I was shocked seeing the ban sign up on my computer screen every time I log in. A week later I was able to post again, and posted a thread saying I'm sorry, and I was relieved to see people forgiving me.
The Elite Raters]So you heard my story of when I first joined. Now time to tell you one of my most successful threads..."The Elite Raters". It took me a week to plan it all out. The rules, the purpose, the routine, all that stuff. When I posted it, I crossed my fingers hoping it would be a success. Then I posted the "Elite Raters Filter Thread" just to figure out the non-noobs that were worthy of joining. By the time the thread was up and running finally, the club's purpose was to rate noobs' cards and pass/fail them depending on their card, and see if they're not a noob. It worked out very well for a while, until noobs were attacking the thread without reading the rules. I got annoyed with that, and so I blew my temper. I made a stricter passing rate and a "neg-rep-on-the-spot" rule for those who fail. I lost control. My behavior was noticed by J-Max when he said: I am here to say as part of the Legends group that I am disgusted by your actions Tuffguy. Giving someone a Neg if there card is not up to scratch? that is just plain bullying. I have contacted a Mod regarding your Possible actions. Neg me and i'll Neg you 3 times back.... I am friends with Mods. Drop the Neg Rep thing. You're supposed to e helping people! Not scaring them off! Reading this' date=' I did the math after that. I closed The Elite Raters for good, and my reputation and intrest seemed to go downhill from there. I tried to remake the club, but that was not a good idea. I then got into roleplaying and joined a few roleplays. Then, I decided to make my own roleplay, "World War 3 RP: The Treaty of Power. However, it wasn't that good. So I decided to take my first long leave soon after, which was like four or five months.
Rise of BludMonkey]After my several month leave, I returned out of boredom from life and stated it. During my leave I was into Facebook, talking to my friends from my church. I had a good time, but I got bored and decided to return to YCM. When I posted in the Leaving/Returning Thread, this was my reply: Get ur name changed. So that's how I became BludMonkey! I'll write more' date=' I'm just tired of writing all this. I hope you enjoyed what I wrote so far...knowing a little ablout me. ^_^ [/color']
Weather Report - Stand
Interesting. I like this 'auto-biography'. It's always fun to see what people think about their life. Thoughts, feelings, desires, mistakes...it's what makes us whole. Memories. So I'd like to read more of your epic story. Most people would look at you with just a passing glance, thinking 'Oh hey it's that guy. Next post...'. Everybody has a story, and I'm proud to have seen yours. And good job for accepting your old mistakes. It usually takes a while to reflect on that stuff. And I love the name. So, BludMonkey. Thank you for letting me read your life.
