Sorry about the title. I couldn't think of another name for it. Anyways, I'm about to show you how Union monsters and Tuner monster combine their abilities.

EARTH / Level 3

[Machine/Union]

ATK/800 DEF/800

This card is also treated as a Tuner monster. Once per turn, you can equip this card to a face-up monster on your side of the field as an Equip Card, OR unequip it and Special Summon it in face-up Attack Position. When equipped to a monster by this card's effect, that monster becomes a Tuner monster. If the equipped monster is used for a Synchro Summon, return 1 monster on the field to the owner's Deck.

 

Union Tuner - Serpent

WATER / Level 3

[sea Serpent/Union]

ATK/500 DEF/500

This card is also treated as a Tuner monster. Once per turn, you can equip this card to a face-up monster on your side of the field as an Equip Card, OR unequip it and Special Summon it in face-up Attack Position. When equipped to a monster by this card's effect, that monster becomes a Tuner monster. If the equipped monster is used for a Synchro Summon, draw 2 cards.

 

Union Tuner - Salamander

FIRE / Level 3

[Reptile/Union]

ATK/600 DEF/600

This card is also treated as a Tuner monster. Once per turn, you can equip this card to a face-up monster on your side of the field as an Equip Card, OR unequip it and Special Summon it in face-up Attack Position. When equipped to a monster by this card's effect, that monster becomes a Tuner monster. If the equipped monster is used for a Synchro Summon, increase the Synchro Monsters ATK by this card's ATK.

 

Union Tuner - Falcon

WIND / Level 3

This card is also treated as a Tuner monster. Once per turn, you can equip this card to a face-up monster on your side of the field as an Equip Card, OR unequip it and Special Summon it in face-up Attack Position. When equipped to a monster by this card's effect, that monster becomes a Tuner monster. If the equipped monster is used for a Synchro Summon, increase your Life Points by the equipped monsters ATK.

 

Union Tuner - Wolf

DARK / Level 3

ATK/900 DEF/900

This card is also treated as a Tuner monster. Once per turn, you can equip this card to a face-up monster on your side of the field as an Equip Card, OR unequip it and Special Summon it in face-up Attack Position. When equipped to a monster by this card's effect, that monster becomes a Tuner monster. If the equipped monster is used for a Synchro Summon, Special Summon this card to your opponent's side of the field.

 

Union Tuner - Firefly

LIGHT / Level 3

This card is also treated as a Tuner monster. When equipped to a monster by this card's effect, that monster becomes a Tuner monster. If the equipped monster is used for a Synchro Summon, add 1 card from your Graveyard to your hand.

 

Union Tuner - Centaur

EARTH / Level 3

This card is also treated as a Tuner monster. Once per turn, you can equip this card to a face-up monster on your side of the field as an Equip Card, OR unequip it and Special Summon it in face-up Attack Position. When equipped to a monster by this card's effect, that monster becomes a Tuner monster. If the equipped monster is used for a Synchro Summon, select 1 monster on your field, the selected monster can attack twice on the same Battle Phase.

 

Union Tuner - Sea Warrior

WATER / Level 3

This card is also treated as a Tuner monster. Once per turn, you can equip this card to a face-up monster on your side of the field as an Equip Card, OR unequip it and Special Summon it in face-up Attack Position. When equipped to a monster by this card's effect, that monster becomes a Tuner monster. If the equipped monster is used for a Synchro Summon, Special Summon 1 monster with "Union Tuner" in their name from your Graveyard.

 

Union Tuner - Dragon

FIRE / Level 3

[Dragon/Union]

ATK/1250 DEF/1250

This card is also treated as a Tuner monster. Once per turn, you can equip this card to a face-up monster on your side of the field as an Equip Card, OR unequip it and Special Summon it in face-up Attack Position. When equipped to a monster by this card's effect, that monster becomes a Tuner monster. If the equipped monster is used for a Synchro Summon, inflict 500 points to your opponent for every card in your hand.

 

Union Tuner - Eagle

WIND / Level 3

[Winged-Beast/Union]

ATK/1100 DEF/1100

This card is also treated as a Tuner monster. Once per turn, you can equip this card to a face-up monster on your side of the field as an Equip Card, OR unequip it and Special Summon it in face-up Attack Position. When equipped to a monster by this card's effect, that monster becomes a Tuner monster. If the equipped monster is used for a Synchro Summon, look at your opponent's hand, select 1 card and add it to your hand.

 

Union Tuner - Psychic

DARK / Level 3

[Psychic/Union]

ATK/1000 DEF/1000

This card is also treated as a Tuner monster. Once per turn, you can equip this card to a face-up monster on your side of the field as an Equip Card, OR unequip it and Special Summon it in face-up Attack Position. When equipped to a monster by this card's effect, that monster becomes a Tuner monster. If the equipped monster is used for a Synchro Summon, take control of 1 of your opponent's monsters until the End Phase of the turn.

 

Union Tuner - Lightning Tiger

LIGHT / Level 3

If the equipped monster is used for a Synchro Summon, add monsters with "Union Tuner" in their name to your hand equal to the level of the equipped monster.

Union Tuner - Whirlwind Bat

If the equipped monster is used for a Synchro Summon, return all Spell & Trap Cards on the field to the Deck.

 

Union Tuner - Botanical Fox

When equipped to a monster by this card's effect, that monster becomes a Tuner monster. If the equipped monster is used for a Synchro Summon, Special Summon 1 "Plant Token"(LV2/EARTH/Plant/Token/ATK/800 DEF/800)

 

Union Tuner - Electrical Hornet

LIGHT / Level 5

ATK/1700 DEF/1700

"1 Tuner"+"1 or more non-Tuner monsters" Once per turn, you can equip this card to a face-up monster on your side of the field as an Equip Card, OR unequip it and Special Summon it in face-up Attack Position. When equipped to a monster by this card's effect, that monster becomes a Tuner monster. If the equipped monster is used for a Synchro Summon, decrease the ATK of 1 monster on the field by half.

 

Union Tuner - Shadow Wolf

DARK / Level 5

[beast/Synchro/Union]

ATK/1900 DEF/1900

"1 Tuner"+"1 or more non-Tuner monsters" Once per turn, you can equip this card to a face-up monster on your side of the field as an Equip Card, OR unequip it and Special Summon it in face-up Attack Position. When equipped to a monster by this card's effect, that monster becomes a Tuner monster. If the equipped monster is used for a Synchro Summon, destroy 1 monster on the field.

[Continuous Spell]

If you control a monster equipped with a Union monster with "Union Tuner" in their name, If the equipped monster was used in a Synchro Summon, draw 2 cards for each monster equipped with a Union monster with "Union Tuner" in their name.

 

Unified Utopia

[Field Spell]

When a monster with "Union Tuner" in its name is equipped to a monster you control, if the equipped monster was used in a Synchro Summon, Special Summon the "Union Tuner" monsters equipped to the equipped monster. All monsters with "Union Tuner" in their name gains 500 ATK & DEF when Special Summoned by this card's effect. Once per turn, unequip 1 "Union Tuner" monster, the unequipped "Union Tuner" monster can attack your opponent directly.

 

Multi-Union

[Continuous Spell]

Once per turn, select 1 monster on your field. If the selected monster is equipped with 1 Union monster or 1 or more "Union Tuner" monsters, equip as many Union monsters or "Union Tuner" monsters from your Deck to the selected monster.

 

Tuner Switch

[spell]

Select 1 "Union Tuner" monster on the field. The selected "Union Tuner" monster is treated as a Tuner monster until the End Phase of the turn.

 

[spoiler=Traps]Broken Union

[Counter Trap]

When your opponent equips a Union Monster to one of his/her monsters, destroy the equipped monster and Special Summon the Union Monster to your side of the field.

 

Union Cannon

[Continuous Trap]

Each time a Union monster uses its effect to equip to 1 face-up monster on the field, inflict 500 points of damage to your opponent. By tributing 1 "Union Tuner" monster on your side of the field, inflict 1000 points of damage to your opponent.

hmmm... they look like they could fit any deck, that focuses on Synchro summoning and stuff. And I kinda dig Union monsters, I played with a VWXYZ deck for a very long time.

 

I'd really love it if you'd make some synchro monsters that match the strategy of these, or even fusions of these union monsters, with some effects that would give these cards repeatability (like special summoning them back on the field)

 

And I got this idea, use it if you'd wish:

 

Union Gunner (* * * *) EARTH

Machine/Effect --- ATK ? DEF 1500

This card can be equipped with several Union Monsters. Increase the ATK of this card by 500 for each Union Monster equipped. If this card would be destroyed, you may destroy a Union Monster equipped to this card instead.

Cool idea. There is one important detail you missed: the other abilities associated with union. Those abilities are "(A monster can be equipped with one union monster at a time. If the equipped monster would be destroyed by battle, destroy this card instead.)" Otherwise, these cards are pseudo-Unions, like Armory Arm. Then you could just make the subtype Tuner. Overall, good idea, but the subtypes don't seem to mix well together. Nice try though.
