Sepiroth loosing to Sonic is like Larxene not being a b**** mean person.

Not exactly.

For the record' date=' as characters, Sonic >>>>> Sephiroth.

In a fight in which both fighters used their full potential, Sonic > Sephiroth, mostly because Supersonic is [i']invincible[/i], and Hypersonic is a freakin' demigod that moves about one mile per hour below lightspeed, while Sephiroth, even in his final form, isn't invincible, and moves painfully slowly.

In a fight between the original characters, it's unquestionably Sephiroth if he's anything like FFR's portrayal, because the power gap between his forms is so small.

Explain. Do you mean their personalities?

Sephiroth has Meteor. Also, from what I've heard, Sephiroth has never gone all-out. Also, as the main playable character, Sonic is supposed to invicible for the sake of winning, while Sephiroth is not invicible because you're supposed to defeat him.

You're going by someone's portrayal of him rather than going by the actual portrayal in the FFVII games/movie?

In my opinion, Sephiroth would win, simply because he's more awesome. But, I'm exactly savvy in Sonic, so my pick is pretty biased.

Sephiroth, Sonic wouldn't be able to go Super Sonic in Midgar, now would he?

Sephiroth can fly, Sonic can't unless in Super Sonic which was created for the sole reason of Sonic winning. So, if Sonic couldn't go Super, and Sephiroth couldn't turn into his final form, Sephiroth wins.

Yes; in this case, my point is irrefutable. He has to feel somewhat guilty about Shadow, Cosmo, E102, Blaze... Whereas Sephy doesn't even have a tragic past to angst about, and he goes all dark and mysterious anyway.

Oh, that's a convenient, fan-concocted excuse; "my fav char nevr fogt best he cud so he stillll the best!!!1111!. I'm insulting your sources, not you.

The fact remains that SS is invincible, and Sephy, even in god mode, isn't.

Meteor can only do so much to someone who's freakin' invincible.

The FFVII movie was so crappy it doesn't count; the same goes for Sonic 2006. FFR's portrayal is stronger, anyway.

In my opinion, Sephiroth would win, simply because he's more awesome. But, I'm exactly savvy in Sonic, so my pick is pretty biased.

Where did this match up come from? o.O This is the weirdest "Vs" thread ever.

Sonic is fast but relatively weak. Sephiroth wins.

He can cut metal with no equipment; Sephiroth has yet to cut anything tougher than flesh with a sword.

Actually, there's no reason at all why SS couldn't activate in Midgar. Using that argument, one could claim Sephiroth's magic doesn't function on Mobius.

Flight is... a big advantage against someone who can use the Homing Attack... not. Even in Sonic 1, the flying enemies were the easiest.

sephiroth would kick sonics ass.his sword would dice sonic before sonic knew he was in a fight.

You assume Sephy has a sword.

Sephiroth and Sonic? WTF?? How is that even a logical comparison?

Sephiroth. I saw a pic of Sephiroth stabbing a Mudkip with this unusually long sword of death. Does sonic have a pic like that?

No.

Therefore' date=' he phails.

Sepiroth. DOI.

Sonic would most likely just be sitting there talking about "HOW FRIENDLISHIPNESS IS THE BEST" and about Chili Dogs / Child Harassment. XD

If Sonic is spouting 4kids crap, Sephy is angsting; Sonic's character indubitably dominates Sephy's.

THOUGHT EXPERIMENT:

Let's do as the Romans do: Both fighters are naked, in an alien arena, with no equipment, at all.

Who wins now?
