My fave book is:The Titans Curse FRom the Percy jackson and the olympians Set

Meh. The Iliad and The Odyssey are more in line with my tastes, though PJ is a bit more like I'd write. I prefer the flawed heroes and sympathetic villains in Homer's classics to the obvious sides in PJ... that, and the fact that they completely screwed up Kronos in PJ.

Not to intrude, but could I join as well? (I am part of other clubs, but this one interests me.)

My favorite book... well... I'm totally into fiction, so Harry Potter, twilight, House of Night, Vampire Academy, and a few others are definately up on my list. Though I'm currently in the market for suggestions. Any good fictional books?

I don't believe I've heard of The Wave. But I did read The Oddessy last year. I do enjoy an epic' date=' though I prefer something a bit modern.

Meh. You need to read The Iliad to really get The Oddysey; it's supposed to tie both up. Am I correct in saying you were disappointed with Book XXIV?

The Wave.

Spoilers ahoy.

Well honestly I did enjoy it. Though I prefer the Underworld parts. The final lines or chapters with Athene weren't so great however.

Sheesh, you really dislike Athena to that degree?

Quite a bit of my enjoyment of The Odyssey was borne of my previous reading of The Iliad. Besides, in the same poem, values of family, love, and honor are explored, and a soldier's eyeball is forced out by a spear cast. Such is the magnificence of The Iliad.

The choice is yours.
