DNovaKnight
Need an opinion on a deck I just thought up. How bouta deck that merges Armed Dragon with DarkWorld monsters. Since AD discard monsters with (usually) higher ATK and DW monsters have decent ATK and when discarded they get special summoned. Does this sound like a good idea? And could a DAD fit in this deck? What do you all think?

What do you all think? I don't think it will work. Dark World effects don't activate when discarded for a cost. the High Level Armed Dragon's discarding is for a cost. Off Topic: I hate Crab Helmet. All he ever does is insult everyone and no one does anything about it. It's people like him that make people on the forum leave.
Kira Magister Magi
Sounds good, and DAD would fit in nicelyThis is Beige's effect, from the YGO wiki: If this card is discarded from the hand to the Graveyard by a card effect, Special Summon this card to your side of the field. DNovaKnight
Thanks Lawliet. And Obsidian ... neither card txt suggests anything about cost. It just says discard a monster and DW says when this card is discarded by a card's effect. There's nothing to say "except when its a cost". Can I have any more imput. We got a tie thus far
FallenFanel21
IDK who crab helmet is but dont trip O ill kick his A** LOL. But for Dnova it would work but i have never been a DAD fan, i like classic Armored dragon better.
OmegaWave
Cost = If you have to Pay LifePoints, Tribute, Discard Cards, etc BEFORE the effect of a monster is activated, that is considered a cost. When a Dark World is discarded, it's effect is supposed to activate RIGHT at that point, but if the cost comes BEFORE the monster's effect, Dark Worlds cannot activate because the first effect hasn't finished yet and therefore, the Dark World's timing is missed. DNovaKnight
^woah, you just blew my mind there. I never looked that deep into cards. I just took it as since they never specified ... it was ok. I guess someone will just have to try it in a simulator and find out. Yeah, same here. I have a DAD, but I had just got it by luck when I opened a random pack .I never used it nor was ever hopping to get it. My fav Armed Dragon is LVL10 by farr. It's just soooooooo awesome looking. :D
FallenFanel21
I like All LV Armored Dragons but i think LV 5 cause you can summon him by tribute unlike the other higher ones.

DNovaKnight
but my combo with the tricky still works right. specail summon tricky by discarding Sillva. That works right. Cause that was part of my answer for a dual synchro summon.

-Lightray Daedalus-
There is still a Tuner monster that discard card as part of the effect.

OmegaWave
Yes, the only limitation to Scapegoat is that it can't be used for a Tribute Summon, but Ritual Summoning, Synchro Summoning, and Tributing to activate an effect or SPECIAL summon a monster is okay. Those loopholes is a big part of the reason why Scapegoat is limited to 1.

DNovaKnight
Yeah. I personally use Fires of Doomsday instead of scapegoat. And also ... if I'm gonna summon a dark monster (like my Gandora) ... it's perfect. I activate the spell after my opponents battle phase, then on my turn I summon my big guns. DNovaKnight
OK. New Topic, or perhaps its just me who doesn't see it. All of these 5 Dragons have a special ability of their own, but some appear slightly selective, but not entirely deck changing. For example:-Stardust has an awesome effects that can be well used in almost any deck. -Red dragon Archfiend is the same a stardust. -Black Rose has dual efects and a stronger really amazing effect if you happen to have a plant monster in the grave, ... may be a bit selective (but adding 1 or 2 plant tuner monsters isn't bad). and its other effect can really come in handy as well- Ancient Fairy Dragon, ... well at first the whole destroy field spell thing didn't seem that bad, but after finding out about these Earthbound monster .... AFD is pretty much your best bet (unless you have Gandora or Envoy of the End or something in your Deck) ... so this still has it's purpose But I can't fing an outweighing good about Power Tool Dragon. If you rarely use equip spells, there no real purpose to put it in your deck. And even if you put in a few equips, you'll need at least like 4 or soemthing, so is it really worth it? So is it just me or does somebody see a huge amazing worth to it like the others?
FallenFanel21
Well power tool dragon if actually a pretty useful card if you add a few equip to your deck cause if it will be destroyed you can send an equip card that is equipped to him to the graveyard instead of him being destroyed. Even after the Battle Phase, your opponent can destroy your tokens during Main Phase 2 with card effects. On the Dragon Convo, Stardust is obviously the best. BRD second. AFD Third, RDA fourth.
