Muramasa himself is a spirit. I'm willing to bet that he's Zaraki's Zanpakuto, and is mad that Zaraki never learned his name.

Personally I want to know more about Kira's Zanpakuto's spirit. The list is pretty impressive though, even if I do not recognize their wielders immediately.

 

Though it may be out of context, I find it funny that I'm the head of the poetry club on this site as well as being Kira in this one.

The list is also incomplete. Seeing as how Kazeshini, Zabimaru, and Tobiume are all going to be in it, I'm assuming Wabisuke will also be there.

 

That list is only comprised of the Spirits whose Vouice Actors have been announced, so whenever they announce Wabisuke's, we'll have confirmation.

 

@Rox: Eh, it isn't that farfetched. Zaraki never learning his name is most definitely not the real reason Muramasa is showing up, though, lol. I was just playing on that. But I think it's entirely possible that Muramasa, a traditional name for a powerful, samurai-esque sword, could belong to Zaraki.

I am going with neither of you on this one. See that could be plot relevant, if you make a filler have such a key plot point then it can't be filler. The owner of Muramasa is obviously another filler villian.

 

What, when is the arc taking place, isn't it still Fake Kakura Town still?

 

Yet if it is not I am going with Zex, Spirit King is either

A) an empty seat like I think Aizen said, meaning no one actually has the title yet and thus their is no one to own Muramasa.

B) so powerful that his Soul Cutter (manga term for what your talking about) wouldn't be able to escape him to try to fight Soul Society, unless of course it was intentional but that would make no sense.

The Beginning:

 

The meeting place was set to be the Urahara shop, but of course, things got out of hand. Zaraki and Yachiru arrived safely, while the others weren't too far behind. While Zaraki and Yoruichi would wait for the others, and rest, Urahara was contacting a dark spirit to secretly open up a dark Senkai gate back to Soul Society, in his big ass basement. It's name was Dura, and he was one bad mofo.

 

Before they had had even an hours rest, waiting for their teammates, Zaraki felt a strange presence outside; turns out it was Yoruichi.

 

Finally everyone has gathered, except Byakuya who is scouting the area for Hollow and the like. It was time for the evening training session, and Ichigo would get things started with Jo and Shina. Yoruichi had fallen ill, so she was taken to the infirmary to rest while the others would do combat.

 

Outside, where Shina, Jo, and Ichigo had began, Ichigo was off his rocker, infected by a Class B Possesor Hollow. It was controlling him from the inside out, but thanks to Shina and Yoruichi (who only too soon decided to come from her bed and help), it was banished from his body; unfortunately, it utterly destroyed Ichigo in the process. He was reduced to ashes.

 

It's name was Keyonshi, and it was there to collect a sacred Shard; conveniently, the shard was in Yoruichi's stomach, which he ripped open and took. Zaraki ran outside, and upon spotting the monster, and his two fallen comrades, he tackled the thing underground, and knocked it inside the Senkai gate.

 

Yachiru and two others (I forget their names) pinned Keyonshi and forced him to talk, about the shards and the Hollow Kingdom (now being Soul Society). They fataly injured him after getting what they needed, and he scurried back to Soul Society.

 

Everyone was preparing for a night's rest, Byakuya coming to the shop at last, when they could feel a great pressure outside. It was tearing up the streets, and innocent people were being killed, so Byakuya decided to go with Zaraki to cut the enemy off. When they arrived, the enemy wasn't alone. It was instead with another hollow. The stronger of the two being a self-proclaimed Espada, #2.

 

While Byakuya took on the Espada, Zaraki played with frisky and speedy Fraccion.

 

Elsewhere, the others were trying to recover, but a Vasto Lorde had made it's way down to them, and began turning their comrade against them, via a snake bite.

 

Upon this, Shiro, a hidden Shinigami, leaped into action. He managed to cut off Vasto Lorde before it could escape. Unfortunately, as Byakuya finished off the Espada, the Farccion retreated, saving the Vasto Lorde in the process, and returning them both to Soul Society.

 

Then, in one three day's time, the Shinigami would invade Soul Society, and take it back.

@Nex: Normally, I'd agree with your filler theory, but you're overlooking one very important fact. Kubo himself has coined the plot for these Fillers, as well as designed the appearances and backstories for all the featured Spirits. As such, a plot-relevent fillers are entirely possible.
