Something odd just struck me; the hollows remove their masks to gain power, becoming Arrancar, and the Shinigami wear hollow masks to gain power, becoming Vaizard. When Ichigo kills Ulquiorra, he has a hollow mask; if he was a hollow, he would be much weaker than Ulquiorra. He's some sort of Fusion, apparently. Not a proper Vaizard.

You know, if Tosen knows Garganta, couldn't he have used it to teleport to a different area? In fact, couldn't the three of them just Flash Step?

He doesn't really get a new mask, as much as he becomes a Vasto Lorde. It was really weird. However, at the time of Ulquiorra's Death, he was in a full Hollow/Arrancar form.

 

Also, he was just hit with a cero through the heart, so he wasn't really human anymore when he killed Ulquiorra.

Flash steps still involve moving, Rox. It isn't teleportation, it's the use of spirit particles to move at very high speeds. You can't Flash Step through a wall of fire and not get burned.

 

But that's a good point with Garganta. And the fact that Tousen can use it leads me to believe he is already Vizard.

One does not simply Flash Step into Mordor.

 

On a serious note, Yamamoto enforced his shield-thing with Plot Power - which is why it breaks only at dramatic moments.

I think it is actually that the hollow part of him is like a Soul cutter in terms of power increasing the size (though Viazards limit the size) it became so powerful that it grew all over his body and his hollow form is actually a sort of armor made from hollow mask. At that point of the transformation Ichigo's hollow power jumped so high it dwarfed his soul reaper powers thus the hollow like form.

 

Though this may just be stupidity on my part.

OT: Ichigo is as overdone as Hitsugaya at this point in my opinion. If Ichigo uses Cero, what instead should it be called? GOGOGOGO.

We should have 226 by now. I'm gonna go and check it out.

 

If I find a reliable source, it's all yours guys. ;)

 

EDIT: It's not out yet, but the raw version has been released. We can expect it subbed within a few days. if not hours time. I'm hoping to see a preview of Ichigo's new mask here, before the fillers.

 

Will it even do anything different, other than give him steroids? >.>

Anyway, I liked 227 - really got some background info on Mizuiro, who desperately needed character advancement. I like him a lot more now.

 

And next week is the beach episode! xD Gotta love fillers that are actually canon-based.

 

And then the week after that, they start the Zanpakuto Spirit Arc. I cannot wait for that arc. Damn you Kubo! You actually got me excited for fillers!
