The shard of intelligence, my personal favorite:

 

Gives the user, once broken (this usually takes serious work depending on how strong the user is)the ability to analyze the opponent. 60% Speed Increase, 30% Overall Attack / Strength Increase (including reiatsu and pressure.) 15% Defensive increase, since you pretty much know what's coming with the shard.

 

The analysis however, only can do so much. It can't tell you what move will be made when, but it can tell you whether it will be a long or short fight. A scouter basically.

 

Nappa: Vegeta! What's the scouter say about his power level?!

 

Vegeta: Nappa, if you ask me that again, I'm going to shove my Galick Gun, SO far up your ass! . . .

 

In other words, the shard has to be worn out completely (manually) before it's true potential can be accessed. If it's forcefully broken, like Kiron's you'll be given immense strength, but a strong paralysis.

I loved Maurice's death. I could see the animation so clearly in my head; I had an rp-gasm. Senbonzakura made sweet love to his flesh and bone.
