RyanAtlus
Pay 800 Life Points. Negate the Special Summon of a monster(s), and the effect that Special Summoned the monster(s), and destroy both. Both you and your opponent can use this effect. That Fat Guy
Samurai hate this lots. Grandmaster laughs at this. Card is sick, there's no other real way to put it. It allows a lot of decks that don't have the SSing power of the higher decks to compete.

I didn't. =P Sacrificing Special Summons is a helluvalot less damaging to you than sacrificing monster effects. Besides, Skill Drain doesn't touch LS. Not JD, not Honest, not Garoth and Jain, not Necro Gardna, not PSZ, not much. =/

Not to any large degree though. They can still summon 3000 atk monsters for nothing, and beat any monster of yours with Honest. Skill Drain is good but not good enough. RO is more effective. Not JD, not Honest, not Garoth and Jain, not Necro Gardna, not PSZ, not much. =/[/quote'] It affects Lumina, Lightsworn Summoner. Yes.It affects Ehren, Lightsworn Monk. Nobody runs Ehren in LS.It affects Lyla, Lightsworn Sorceress. It's enough of a beatstick. It affects Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter. Yes, although it's often left out of LS builds. It affects Jain, Lightsworn Paladin. Barely, and it's beatstick enough not to care.It affects Celestia, Lightsworn Angel. Celestia's got enough ATK to hold its own. It affects Garoth, Lightsworn Warrior. Barely, and it's beatstick enough not to care.It affects Celestia, Lightsworn Angel. You needed to post this twice? It affects Judgment Dragon. Not the "loldrop a 3000 beatstick and render your beatdown tactics useless" aspects of it. The only REAL damage Skill Drain causes to LS is making Lumina temporarily vulnerable, which is laughable. Beatdown can't touch LS. Then there's Royal Decree, Heavy Storm, Giant Trunade, Cold Waves, etc. for LS to negate/prevent Skill Drain and swarmkill you. Lyla, Jain, Garoth, Wulf, and Judgment Dragons are beatsticks. They're more, but they're also beatsticks. Then there's Honest. Those alone usually make up a quarter of LS's Deck. Then there's Necro Gardna, PSZ, and sometimes Sangan for another 4-5 slots. Then there's Lumina for 3 slots, then Celestia for 3 more slots, then maybe a Chaos, Crows, that sorta thing. It really only majorly affects 3 out of over 20 monster slots, the rest can hold their own in battle or have affects that apply outside of the field. Running Skill Drain over LIM against LS is stupid. Dedicating your Deck to Skill Drain and hoping to beat LS is stupid.
RyanAtlus
It would be cool if there was a card that burns every time there's being milled. On Topic: Is 800 too much, just fine or should it be more?

Newsflash: LS tend to suck when they can't mill.LS have beatsticks, but they're not strong enough to win the game when you can ONLY rely on them.A good Skill Drain user uses Skill Drain with real beatsticks, like Barbaros and Fusilier Dragon, against which things like Lyla don't stand a chance. Also, who says I can't run Skill Drain alongside my sided LIM? If I do so, JD and Wulf won't get close to being summoned.
