--No I am not, I am guy of quality. This is getting off the RP, why not create a code geass page to discuss this.

A small aura was forming around Chris as it went toward Nova pushing him over. "I am going to bring salvation to this world." Turning around as he got to the entrance of the park and then disappeared. In the wind a whisper was heard. "You will not stop us."

(Erg, we should probably stop asking what's happening all the time and just read the previous posts... this thread's getting pretty cluttered with OOC comments).

Degas slowed as he reached the park; he glanced around with an air of indifference at the proceedings; the area seemed to be filled with several crystals, each radiating the obvious scent of Dark Signer. Degas smirked as he intook the scent.

'Finally...I have you. He thought, as he looked with a maniac grin up at the Christopher. He continued smirking, before clapping his sizable hands, ringing out the sound across the mostly deserted park area.

"I applaud you, Dark Signer... you've provided a merry chase, and an interesting show, more than what I usually receive."

(Currently, most people are at a Public park, as Chris is awakening to being a Dark Signer. The Tournament's being postponed or canceled due to the missing applicants. The other Signers just finished being instructed about their Signer-hood.)

Degas chuckled. "Please, do not call me a Signer. It's insulting to both you and I".

Degas simply chuckled again, as his mask pulsed with a bit of energy; if one had been able to see behind it, they would have been perplexed at the facial designs, similar to the marks given by Signers and Dark Signers, but in an odd, unnatural and twisted way.

"You have great potential and power, Dark Signer. The Zon could have use for you... unfortunately, I find my own strength waning at the moment. I could mediate to retrieve it, but it is honestly much easier to simply take yours."

There was a brief pulse, as Degas' white clothing seemed to glow with colorless energy, before expanding and bubbling outwards. The energy escaped outwards, forming a bubble-like object; a forcefield, completely colorless except when light shined directly upon it, reflecting it slightly.

Lezard was in town getting lunch at a cafe near the park, annoyed at the current turn of events.

'postponing because my targets didn't arrive, how aggravating, at least everything will be ready when they come back, and it better be soon, or I might as well just go hunt them down.'

he was halfway through his steak when he felt a pulse, and felt the force bubble beginning to expand from near the center of the park.

'looks like degas found a dark one, but something doesn't seem right, wait, he's trying to absorb the power, that fool, he doesn't know how that will interact with his current power, he could kill himself if he isn't careful.'

Lezard looked down at his unfinished meal. he was annoyed.

'I should be there to make sure nothing goes wrong.'

grabbing his overcoat / cloak, he made haste for the park.

he was getting close when a kid, who didn't realize what was going on, jumped out of a tree and challenged who he assumed to be the dark signer, since the only other person was Degas.

unfortunately, he jumped down right in front of Lezard, who ran right into him from behind.

'stupid fool.' Lezard thought. 'better make sure his doesn't interfere with degas.'

he rasied his duel disk and hit his auto-hack button.

"you wanna duel? then how about me?"

he couldn't get away now, with Degas in front, even occupied, and Lezard behind, Jeremy was between a rock and a hard place.

Degas paused, then crossed his arms.

'Teleportation. That's a new one. No matter, no matter... The field stole a fair bit of energy from him when he pulled that off, enough to keep me running well, if I conserve, for about a week.

Degas snapped his fingers, turning his back from the remaining two people, as the shimmering dome collapsed around him.

"Lezard, you take care of this."

He waited for a couple minutes, as a low-pitched humming came down the nearby road. A few moments later, a modified police-model D-Wheel came humming down, parking next to him. Degas quickly mounted it, and after a brief check, sped off.

Degas paused as he drove quickly down the roads, weaving in and out of the traffic. He had long ago modified his D-Wheel- there was no way a member of Security could even register the speeding vehicle- and even if they did, they would probably find their systems fried after a few minutes of pursuit. The Zon had abilities even the Dark Signers did not, despite requiring more training that the other mentioned group; and Degas was the strongest of his group.

As unfortunate side effect to being able to use abilities his fellow Zons could not, Degas had to continually restore his energy; Lezard, perhaps, would be able to match his abilities blow-for-blow, but the other Zon was less likely to spend that much energy. Degas was much less careful, and absorbed his strength from whatever he could find at the time- electricity could work, but it was too weak to sustain him for long. Signer energy was also second best- completely assimilating a Signer would give him vigor enough for at least two months.

But a Dark Signer... they were the most valuable. While the Zons needed the Dark Signers for other purposes, they radiated energy like a malfunctioning nuclear reactor. They had almost no way of keeping the energy to themselves, and harnessing it; they simply let it erupt from them, like a sun, relying on their nigh-infinite stores to sustain them. Which suited the Zon fine, who could catch that energy like a plant may capture light. As was demonstrated, simply opening a field and having them teleport produced enough energy to sustain Degas for a fair amount of time, and that was nothing to the Dark Signer.

Degas smirked ferally. Now that he had tasted the Signer -knew his aura, was familar with it- he could no longer hide. Run, perhaps, but the Dark Signer's energy was not infinite.

Eventually, he would tire.

And Degas would not.
