fenrir
No clue, Mythology was created to explain nature. They were primitive enough to not comprehend certain things maybe? If a person told them how Lighting is created exactly, they would be like. "What?"
Supreme Gamesmaster
@ntswhatever: But Nazis =/= Skinheads. The Nazi Party stands for more than just racial inequality. @Fenrir's Herald: Well, maybe they wouldn't have gotten very far, but you wouldn't think someone would bother reinforcing a flimsy system of false beliefs when more credible ones have already disproved your own. fenrir
Like said, they were probably too primitive to understand these concepts, so they made up deities to explain.
Holy Babylon
Dont lead this discussion into another secularist debate, I'm warning you.
Supreme Gamesmaster
Theological debates are why clubs like this exist. So, why the religious oppression? You'd think if someone developed an authentic theory which could easily be tested and found true (i.e. Copernicus), people would realize that they were wrong and change the result. We now learn something about human nature. DEBATE: What?
Holy Babylon
That's your second warning. Read the updated Ban List. I don't want anyone discussing current religions or secularist ideas on here. This is for mythology, not theology.

Holy Babylon
Zeus, definitely. I mean, Ra and Horus replaced eachother, Odin could be killed, but Zeus was pretty much invincible with that whole necter and necterine deal.

Wuu.
I don't think God himself is counted as Mythology, right?
Holy Babylon
I don't give a crap! This is a mythology club, we talk about mythology. God is theology. YHVH is the name of God, according to Moses. When Moses asked for His name, God revealed it was YHVH, there are dozens of ways to say It and pronounce It, so we list His Name in phonetics. They come out to YHVH, ehyeh asher ehyeh, it means "I Am What I Am". I believe that implies He does not have a name. We call Him what we see in our hearts, but I call Him God. YHVH is disrespectful in my opinion.
