Odysseus is simply epic win. xD Though I haven't really read the legend in a VERY long time. Who's Penelope again? I know I've heard it before' date=' but it's just in the back of the my head.

Penelope = O's wife. I mentioned her because she's so damned lucky Athena was smart enough not to murderize her.

To spell things out: Athena ♥ Odysseus, obviously. Discuss her restraint and/or integration with Penelope.

Honestly speaking I think that every mythology is connected in essence as one entire concept. So in essence the hinduistic belief of one central being made up of countless beings is true. it's just that they are different due to where/how they originated and social interaction between people of different mythological belief.

Ooooooooooh.

You made a comment on bisexuals being insatiable, see.

Any other ideas on Athena's not murderizing Penelope and doing O?

I have two theories for discussion:

•Either she knows O would be a lot happier with Penelope, or

•She put a bit of herself in Penelope à la Voldemort, allowing her to conquer Penelope's consciousness spontaneously and indirectly loving O. It would also explain why Penelope's a better tactician than O in books XIX through XXIII.

Most probably Hera, (since she's goddess of marriage and all that) and Queen of the Gods, probaaaaably didn't appreciate Athena hitting on Penelope's husband.
