The Fool's Game - Man on Fire

Welcome, Players, to the Fool's Game. The Game we will be playing today is known as Man on Fire.

Unlike the previous Games, Man on Fire will require no entry fee. On the other hand, it is possible to submit up to a thousand (1000) points into the jackpot. The winner of the game takes the entire jackpot, along with a bonus prize of 1000 points.

The Game

YOU LOST

The objective of Man on Fire is, basically, to be the last person still alive. Regardless of how many of you will join, there will be a total amount of seventeen (17) participants in this game; those who aren't controlled by you will be played by myself. Should one of my characters end up winning the Game, 80% of the points that were added to the jackpot will be refunded, and the remaining 20% will go to the one of you that finished closest to the finals.

At the start of the Game, four (4) people will be given Fire Tickets. If you carry a Fire Ticket, you will be considered On Fire. If you are On Fire at the end of the round, you are immediately kicked out of the Game. The trick here is this: You will never know if you have a Fire Ticket or not. Only those given a Fire Ticket at the start of the Game will know of their Fire Tickets. A Player carrying a Fire Ticket can give it away to any other with no cost whatsoever.

This, however, is where the points enter the Game. There are two important numbers you need to keep track of when you play Man on Fire: the Assault Value and the Defense Value.

Assault Value

When you give away your Fire Ticket, you must inscribe a number upon it. This number is your Assault Value. If the Assault Value written on the Ticket is higher than the receiver's Defense Value, your Ticket is given to them. Otherwise, it remains with you. One point paid - and added to the jackpot - increases the Assault Value by 1.

Defense Value

Your Defense Value is your only shield against opposing Fire Tickets. By paying 1 point, the Defense Value is increased by 1. Should you be given a Ticket, and your Defense Value is higher than the Assault Value inscribed upon the ticket, the number written on the Ticket is erased and your Defense Value is decreased by the same amount.

Important notes

1. Always remember that the total amount of points that can be spent on each round is exactly 250. There will be a total of four rounds in Man on Fire, and during each round four Players will be eliminated. 250 points per round means a total of 1000 points, as specified above.

2. You will not be notified prior to receiving a Fire Ticket. If you suspect that you hold a Fire Ticket, submit an amount of points to the jackpot and specify that you are giving away a ticket and whom you are giving it to. Should you have a ticket, it will be given away. Otherwise, the amount will be added to your Defense Value.

3. Should a Player win the game, as opposed to a Diviner-controlled character, no points will be refunded.

Great. Now, we can start the Game.

The first round of Man on Fire will start in exactly 24 hours. Until then, you can use your 250 points for this round as you please. Remember to state in the donation whether you want to use it to increase your Defense Value, or if you want to use it to give away a Ticket. The original holders of the Fire Tickets will be informed when Round One starts.
