This idea has been in my head for awhile, and now that my writers block is wearing off I can post it. So plz welcome Yugioh: Knights of the Gods and review like crazy

[spoiler=Chapter 1: The Beginning]

Duel Highlights: Zeo vs. Kane

At a high-tech, gigantic dome stadium, a telescreen displays a picture of a duel between the current duel king, and his challenger. “And now for today’s main duel event!” an announcer says. “Here comes the king of duelist, the champion of glory, please welcome the king: Yukuro Mimoto!” Smoke is launched from one of the entrance tunnels as a guy wearing blue riding gloves, blue eyes, blue vest and shirt, and blue jeans, walks out. Everyone in the stadium jumped up and started cheering for him, awaiting the spectacle that would follow.

Yukuro reached the center of the stadium and announced into a microphone attached to his ear, so that the audience could hear him “Sorry to keep you all waiting, are you ready to duel?” The audience yelled in response.

At the same time a kid with bronze hair and sky blue eyes, wearing black riding gloves, and a grey vest and jeans, was walking down the street. Meanwhile we see Yukuro continuing to butter the audience up by summoning his monsters.

The approaching title match at the stadium is being broadcasted all around the city. The announcer says that this is the 151st Duel King title match, as it appears challengers have been scrambling to earn the title of duel king. He adds that it's interesting, wondering if the upcoming challenger will be able to beat Yukuro's strongest deck, one with an unbeatable record. As the citizens of the city listen on, the announcer says that his current challenger is Rocky Muzoni. As the scene closes in to the duel stadium, the announcer expresses his wonder at how the King will strike this fearless duelist, looking forward to the fateful showdown.

The open stadium dome is now closed for the match, as Rocky and Yukuro were all set to duel. “It’s time to duel!” says the announcer. He tells the duelists to draw their opening hands, and get their games on. A screen appeared to show the duelists stats, with the duelists pictures in black and white. Suddenly Rocky’s picture lit up, signaling him to go first. Following the common duel rule, both player’s life points went up to 4000.

“I’ll begin this duel with a personal favorite of mine, I activate [Mausoleum of the Emperor ~ Field Spell Card ~ Both players can Normal Summon or Set monsters without Tribute(s) by paying 1000 Life Points x the number of monsters needed to Tribute Summon them.]!” The ancient temple rose behind Rocky as the field changed to an ancient setting. “With this card, I don’t have to tribute monsters to summon stronger monsters!”

The announcer then explained to the audience what the cards Rocky had just played would allow him to do, and he wondered to the audience if the king was going to be able to get out of this.

Later in the game, Rocky appears to have [Tri-Horned Dragon ~ Dark/Dragon ~ Level 8 ~ ATK/DEF: 2850/2350] and [Hyozanryu ~ Light/Dragon ~ Level 7 ~ ATK/DEF: 2100/2800] on the field in an attack position with 1700 life-points remaining. Yukuro appeared to have two cards face-down and have [Junk Synchron ~ Dark/Warrior/Tuner ~ Level 3 ~ ATK/DEF: 1300/500 ~ When this card is Normal Summoned, you can Special Summon 1 Level 2 or lower monster from your Graveyard in face-up Defense Position. That monster's effect(s) is negated.] and [Quillbolt Hedgehog ~ Earth/Machine/Effect ~ Level 2 ~ ATK/DEF: 800/800 ~ If you control a face-up Tuner monster, you can Special Summon this card from your Graveyard. If this card was Summoned this way, remove it from play when it is removed from the field.] on the field in a defense position. It was Yukuro’s turn. “I activate [Double Summon ~ Normal Spell Card ~ You can Normal Summon 1 additional time this turn. You can only gain this effect once per turn.] to summon [Armed Dragon LV3 ~ Wind/Dragon/Effect ~ Level 3 ~ ATK/DEF: 1200/900 ~ During your Standby Phase, send this face-up card to the Graveyard, Special Summon 1 "Armed Dragon LV5" from your hand or Deck.] in attack mode! Now I’ll synchronize Junk Synchron with Armed Dragon and Quillbolt Hedgehog to call on the mighty power of the stars to give birth to the Synchro Summon of [Red Dragon Archfiend ~ Dark/Dragon/Synchro/Effect ~ Level 8 ~ ATK/DEF: 3000/2000 ~

1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters

If this card attacks a Defense Position monster your opponent controls, destroy all Defense Position monsters your opponent controls after damage calculation. During your End Phase, destroy all other monsters you control that did not declare an attack this turn.] in attack position!” Junk Synchron turned into rings of data in which Armed Dragon LV3 and Quillbolt Hedgehog entered, merging and forming Red Dragon Archfiend, who quickly let off a roar to announce its presence.

“Now I’ll equip Red Dragon Archfiend with [Junk Barrage ~ Equip Spell Card ~ When the equipped monster destroys a monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard, inflict damage to your opponent equal to half the destroyed monster's ATK.]!” Yukuro placed the card into his duel disk, and the card appeared in front of him, before Red Dragon Archfiend started to glow. “Now Red Dragon Archfiend attack Hyozanryu with Hellical Breath!” The Red Dragon Archfiend let a blaze of flames from its mouth, which engulfed Hyozanryu in flames. Rocky’s life-points took a hit because of this and they dropped to 800 (2100+1700-3000). “And now Junk Barrage activates, taking half of your monsters ATK points out of your life-points!” Rocky’s life-points suddenly dropped to 0 (800-2100/2 no remainders or negatives) as the burnt remains of Hyozanryu fell on top of him.

As his cheerleaders cheer, the announcer says that Yukuro has defended himself successfully, and that win was added to his undefeatable record.

"There is only one King, and it's me!", Yukuro declares loudly, pointing his finger into the sky, as the audience cheers for him.

As it becomes evening now, Zeo is still walking, after stopping to catch Yukuro’s win, on the huge plasma screen. At Zeo’s home, a foster home, for him and his two best friends Maria and Robin, Robin and Maria were watching Yukuro’s title match. The announcer is interviewing Yukuro. He says that the King got tossed around by his challenger's powerhouses at the start, but he managed to stay two, even three moves ahead.

Yukuro snatches the microphone from the announcer and says, "If the King had gone through the game using his full power, it would be over in a second. The King's duels must be entertainment for all!"

While his friends are paying attention to this live report, Zeo walked in, catching his friends by surprise. Robin apologizes, knowing Zeo doesn’t like Yukuro at all. Maria comments that Jack was something, adding that he keeps becoming stronger. Robin then commented thatYukuro was just an arrogant punk, and wouldn’t even be the king if he hadn’t taken Zeo’s fathers best card in an ante-duel, where Zeo’s father lost his Red Dragon Archfiend to Yukuro. His father then passed away from the shame of losing his ace card. This is why Zeo detested Yukuro. Maria then comments, that as soon as Zeo was ready he was leaving to challenge Yukuro to a duel. Zeo quickly relpies that he’s not “leaving” but “going”

Suddenly light shines on everyone through the windows and a police officer calls out for Robin to hand himself over for the theft of rare cards. They know it was him because Robin had a criminal marker on his face, allowing security systems in the city to identify him as Criminal XXX-81003. Maria looks at Robin in shock, and yells at him for commiting larceny. Robin defends himself stating that he left money for the cards. The police just want an escuse to arrest him again. Although he has a point, Maria is still fuming about the situation.

Zeo stops Maria and goes over to his computer, typing in a line of code, causing the police’s scanners to malfunction for a brief time. Zeo then states that he’ll draw the officers away, while Robin and Maria hide.

Zeo then runs out and the officers chase after him, Zeo is able to get away from all but one of them as he heads into an abandoned factory. Zeo then turned to the officer, and the officer notices that Zeo is just a decoy. He says “typical, “orphans protect orphans!” Zeo looks at the officer seriously, and the officer notices a duel disk on his arm. The officer is surprised that an orphan could get a hold of a duel disk, asking where Zeo stole it from. Zeo states he didn’t steal it, he found it in the trash, and fixed it up, along with his friends duel disks. The officer doesn’t believe Zeo, so Zeo offers to duel the officer for his and Robin’s freedom. The officer accepts, introducing himself as Lt. Kane, Zeo also introduces himself, but Kane says Zeo is a orphan and orphans are all scum. It appears in this city, orphans all have to live together, and live on their own. Zeo gets mad, and says to begin the game. Both duelists activate their duel disks, and their life-point counters go up to 4000.

“DUEL!” both duelists announced as they drew their first cards.

1st Turn – Kane

Kane says he’ll take the first move, drawing a card. He summons [Masked Dog of Darkness ~ Dark/Beast/Effect ~ Level 4 ~ ATK/DEF: 1600/1400 ~ When this card is sent to the graveyard, add one card with “Archfiend” or “Mask” in its name from your deck to your hand.] onto the field in attack position. Setting up a face-down card, he ends his turn.

2nd Turn – Zeo

We see Zeo’s opening hand in his left hand. The cards are Scrap-Iron Scarecrow, Giant Germ, The Tricky, Pot of Greed, and Gilford the Lightning. He declares his turn, drawing a card. Zeo sets a monster face-down before discarding [Jack’s Knight ~ Light/Warrior ~ Level 5 ~ ATK/DEF: 1900/1000] to special summon [The Tricky ~ Wind/Spellcaster/Effect ~ Level 5 ~ ATK/DEF: 2000/1500 ~ You can discard 1 card to Special Summon this card from your hand.] in attack position.

Kane is stunned to see such a rare monster be summoned. But he says it doesn’t matter, he’ll crush it anyway.

Zeo declares the attack of The Tricky on Masked Dog of Darkness, destroying it. This reduces Kane’s life-points to 3600 (4000+1600-2000). Kane says that Zeo’s gone and done it now, adding that his monster also has a special effect.

Kane can add a Archfiend or Mask card from his deck to his hand now that his monster was sent to the graveyard, and Kane says he chooses to add Mask of Restrict to his hand. Zeo doesn’t seem to care, and just sets a card face-down to end his turn.

3rd Turn – Kane

Kane draws, before declaring to open his face-down card. It appears to be [Call of the Haunted ~ Continuous Trap Card ~ Select 1 monster from your Graveyard and Special Summon it in face-up Attack Position. When this card is removed from the field, destroy the monster. When the monster is destroyed, destroy this card.] to revive Masked Dog of Darkness. Again Zeo doesn’t seem to care. This angers Kane. He summons another Masked Dog of Darkness in attack position, and then activates the card [Calling of the Dark Gate ~ Quick-Play Spell Card ~ Tribute two monsters on your side of the field, and remove them from play. Special Summon one “Reaper Death Zombie” from your hand.] to release his two dogs and remove them from play, to special summon [Reaper Death Zombie ~ Dark/Zombie/Effect ~ Level 9 ~ ATK/DEF: 3000/3000 ~ This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be special summoned by the effect of “Calling of the Dark Gate.” This card cannot be destroyed by battle. When this card destroys a monster by battle, inflict damage to your opponent’s life-points equal to the ATK of the destroyed monster.] in attack position. Zeo was shocked to see such a strong monster appear. Kane then declares the attack “Reaping Scythe” to destroy The Tricky. But Zeo opens up his face-down [scrap-Iron Sacrecrow ~ Normal Trap Card ~ Activate only when an opponent's monster declares an attack. Negate the attack, and Set this card face-down again instead of sending it to the Graveyard.] to negate the attack and then Zeo could reset his trap face-down for the next turn.

Kane just smiles and activates his quick-play spell [Attack Redirection ~ Quick-Play Spell Card ~ You can only activate this card when your opponent negates one of your attack’s during your battle phase. The monster that attacked can attack again, but the attack target cannot be the same monster as before.] to allow Reaper Death Zombie to attack Zeo’s face-down monster, which appeared to be [Giant Germ ~ Dark/Fiend/Effect ~ Level 2 ~ ATK/DEF: 1000/100 ~ When this card is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard, inflict 500 damage to your opponent. You can also Special Summon up to 2 "Giant Germs" from your Deck in face-up Attack Position.], which when destroyed inflicts 500 damage to the opponent and allows its owner to summon two more in attack position. Zeo smiled as he placed two more Giant Germs on his duel disk. Kane just seethed as he was hit by a bit of the Giant Germ causing his life-points to drop to 3100 (3600-500). Kane tells Zeo that no matter how good his deck's onslaught of mish-mash cards is, trash is still trash. His Reaper inflicts damage to the opponent when it destroys a monster in battle, equal to the destroyed monsters ATK. Zeo grimaced as Reaper Death Zombie slashed him with its scythe, and his life-points dropped to 3000 (4000-1000). Kane then ends his turn with a face-down card.

4th Turn – Zeo

Zeo declares his move. He draws a card and attempts to summon Gilford the Lightning by releasing his 3 monsters, but Kane, activates [Mask of Restrict ~ Continuous Trap Card ~ Neither player can Tribute any monster under any conditions.] Zeo grimaces, but summons [sonic Chick ~ Wind/Winged Beast/Effect ~ Level 1 ~ ATK/DEF: 300/300: This card cannot be destroyed in battle with monsters that have an attack power of 1900 or higher] in defense position. Zeo then changes his other three monsters into a defense position, before ending his turn.

5th Turn – Kane

Kane declares his turn, drawing a card. Smiling, Kane plays [Mystical Space Typhoon ~ Quick-Play Spell Card ~ Destroy 1 Spell or Trap Card on the field.] to destroy Zeo’s Scrap-Iron Scarecrow. Kane then declares for Reaper Death Zombie to attack The Tricky and then Zeo himself. Zeo yells in pain as his life-points drop to 1000 (3000-2000).

Kane points out that Zeo has just 1000 LP left, adding that he's just scum. The cards left in Zeo’s hand are Gilford the Lightning and Pot of Greed.

6th Turn – Zeo

His hand approaches his deck, his face showing that this is his last chance. Before drawing a card, he begs to his deck, "My cards, I have faith in you. Heed my voice".

When Zeo draws, he smiles and realizes that it came: the card he wanted. Zeo activates his own Mystical Space Typhoon to destroy Mask of Restrict on Kane’s field.

Kane is surprised, and even more so as Zeo moves to release Sonic Chick, and his two Giant Germs, to Advance Summon [Gilford the Lightning ~ Light/Warrior/Effect ~ Level 8 ~ ATK/DEF: 2800/1400 ~ You can Tribute 3 monsters to Tribute Summon this card, If you do, destroy all monsters your opponent controls.], and since he released 3 monsters, Gilford can destroy all monster on his opponent’s field. Gilford fired a blast of electricity, which struck Reaper Death Zombie, causing it to shatter into pixels. Kane is astounded by this. Zeo then activated his [Pot of Greed ~ Normal Spell Card ~ Draw 2 cards from your deck.] to draw 2 cards from his deck. Zeo smiles at what he sees, and activates Double Summon to Normal Summon his [King’s Knight ~ Light/Warrior/Effect ~ Level 4 ~ ATK/DEF: 1600/1400 ~ When this card is Normal Summoned, if you control "Queen's Knight", you can Special Summon 1 "Jack's Knight" from your Deck.] in attack mode. Zeo then declared the direct attacks of his monsters on Kane. These attacks greatly reduce Kane’s life-points to 0 (3100-1600-2800 no remainders or negatives).

Duel End

After the game, Kane's in disbelief, having never expected to be defeated by scum like Zeo. Zeo then stops by and tells him, "Any card, as long as it exists, has the potential to be useful. Someone who'd reject cards by calling them 'trash', like you, doesn't have the right to call himself a duelist".

Zeo then takes off, leaving Kane to get pissed off, as he says that he's going to crush Zeo. Meanwhile, Zeo has left the factory and is walking along the highway when he stops to see the Duel Dome far away from him, shining brightly across the sea. Yusei stands with a fierce look, most likely thinking of his goal there, as he says, "Just wait, Yukuro!"

Well, i'm sure it won't kill me to read this.

Hmm...

I might be wrong, but can Mausoleum actually be used in a combo with Spell Economics like that? Just curious, and I think that it can't for some reason...

Perhaps the main 'flaw' with this story is the style of writing. Perhaps some people like it, but it's quite... Out there, just looking at it, not going into detail. Not the kind of story that is easy to 'delve in'. I barely understand what i'm saying myself, but I hope you get the idea...

But hey, it's OK as a fanfic. Good luck with it!

[spoiler=Okay, here goes the rude comment....]1) What?! You're following how Janime writes in their episodes' summaries?! C'mon! That doesn't fit in fan fics! It takes too many spaces, and that makes your story confusing! Quit using that! If you want to explain what the cards do, either link to Wikia or make the explanation after the chapter, not inside the chapter!

2) Why do you write the way of Synchro Summoning? Everybody here has known how to Synchro Summon! Again, you follow what Janime does...

3) Mausoleum of The Emperor doesn't work with Spell Economics. Do not break the rules of Yu-Gi-Oh! if you're making Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan Fic! That is not cool!

But I see potentials from you. ;)

fine I can see this fic just got scrapped

also I asked for a review not an insult (and don't tell me it wasn't meant to be insulting)

let me do things my way, people don't insult your works, so what gives you the right to insult mine?

I like janime, and mabye I agree with the synchro thing a little (its possible some people don't know how to synchro summon, so I'm being nice a clarifying it for people who don't know)

plus I can say the effects if I want, i'm not the only one who does it!

also, I once thought the same as you, but when I was at a tournament, someone played that combo, and I asked the ref about it, he said it was fine. Thats why I did that.

And I only did things the way janime did it, because I don't have my sister to help me put the words into talking anymore, like I had for the first few paragraphs (which I did about 4 months ago)

okay I apologize for my outburst, your right

but I'm still messed up about the Mausoleum of the Emperor and Spell Economics

the ref said it could be done, you and 4 other people Ive talked to say it can't be done

I don't know who to believe: The official ref or the 4 actual players

I suspose I can modify that paragraph but I'm not changing my writing style

everyone has a right to there own styles, and no one really has the right to be a critic about it, unless it was fast-paced.

okay I have edited the chapter, just a bit, not enough to make any real difference, just enough for me to relieve the fact that I don't want another arguement

I do request though that any discussions here be kept cordial and not rude or insulting
