RiffMaster Alex
I will possibly get an Xbox 360 for my birthday this year. Are there any bugs or things I should never do and stuff like that that I should know about. Note: If I am getting one, I will be getting a Pro. Soul Legacy
Be Smart. Get a PS3. Yeah, the Xbox is alright, but PS3 Pawnz Xbox 360, some consles are cheap, my friends one kept breaking down for stupid reasons, and it wasn't bought by some stupid dealer, it was bought from the GAME store. The Slime Lord
If you get a 360, be prepared to send it in occasionally. I've had mine since last summer, and I've already had to send it in twice. Once because of a disc drive error right out of the box, and another because of the RRoD. In terms of reliability, I'd say the PS3 is better. Then again, I just recently got the YLoD (yellow light of death), but I've had my PS3 since Christmas of 2006. Holy Babylon
The thing about the PS3 is that there are less games, but the online gameplay is free. The 360 has a faster engine, better graphics, and a better user interface. You only have to worry about the Red Ring of Death if you have one of the older consoles, I've had mine for a year and a half and the only time I've had a problem is when lightning struck my house, and that's a different story... I've also heard they scratch discs, or did they fix that? RRoD has been fixed as it was due to shoddy soldering and a crap fan which has all been replaced. The sratch discs are not a problem as long as you have the console flat on its side therefore cannot be jogged

The Slime Lord
The thing about the PS3 is that there are less games' date=' but the online gameplay is free. [/quote'] I'll give you that. The PS3 doesn't have Gears of War 1 and 2, Halo 3, and a few mediocre RPGs. And yeah, PS Online is free, but honestly, I wouldn't mind spending $10-$20 a year to make it at least close to as good as Xbox Live. (Xbox Live has a bunch of 5 year olds cursing you out. PS Online has less 5 year olds, but a lot of English cursing you out.) :P The 360 has a faster engine, better graphics, and a better user interface. 1. Elaborate. 2. They're either near identical, or exactly the same. And if it matters, last time I checked, there were more games on the PS3 that run in 1080p than on the 360. 3. Opinion. You only have to worry about the Red Ring of Death if you have one of the older consoles, I've had mine for a year and a half and the only time I've had a problem is when lightning struck my house, and that's a different story... I got my 360 last summer, and I got a RRoD about 3 months after I got it. I got my PS3 on Christmas of 2006, and got my first error about a week ago. problematica
Some of the older 360s do occasionally have a disc read error for higher end games, but all you have to do is open the disc drive and close it again.
Jerry OldMaster
I'd ask for $ instead, save ém till some next holiday and ask $ again, reapeat till you have enough to buy a decent game PC and you're set :) Or/and try to convince your parents how awesome it would be to have a brand-new PC.
