Where is this FAQ for?

This FAQ is for creating proper and balanced High level monsters, mainly 8+

 

Why?

There has been a huge discussion on the forum on a card that the card must have a Special Summon condition, while other say they don't need to have it. A big fight was started this way.

 

Does a 10+ Monster need 3 Tributes?

10+ do NOT need 3 tributes monster to Summon. Any 7 or higher monster will only need 2 tributes monsters unless it is written on the card

 

What do you mean by Written on the card?

Certain monsters are so powerfull that the creaters decided to place summoning conditions on the card.

 

Why does the wicked dreadlook need 3 Tributes?

Because it is written on the card. The card also can't be Special Summoned, so the player is forced to offer 3 monsters on the field.

 

Soooo... any Monster with 10+ stars only need 2 tributes?

Like i said before, yes. You only have to offer 2 monsters unless it is written on the card itself it that it must be summoned in another way.

 

What is the Max. ATK of a Normal High Level Monster?

The highest ATK of these days is 3300 from Super Conduct Tyranno.

 

That's not fair! Blue-eyes has 3000 ATK and that's a Normal Monster. Super Conduct Tyranno is an effect monster.

Yes, it is true. Super Conduct Tyranno is an effect monster, however, this card needs NO special requirments to summon it, so you can Normal Summon it by offering 2 monsters!

 

Isn't that unbalanced than?

Actually, no. Also pay attention to Super Conduct Tyranno's DEF. it's only 1400, while Blue-eyes is 2500.

 

So how do I make a balanced Level 8 monster?

First up, take Blue-Eyes's ATK and DEF Status and combine it. You'll have 5500 points. Then you can split it into 2 diffirent numbers and place it as ATk and DEF. If you add an effect to it, lower the ATK or DEF of the card. If you have monster with a VERY HIGH ATK and/or DEF, make a bad effect to keep it balanced. This way I created my Mutsumi, the friendly Giant Card. Strong, yet balanced.

I liek the tutorial, but maybe you should add like what the effect is for it to be special summoned, such as

 

Special Summoning a monster with 3 tributes

This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by Tributing 3 monsters

 

Normal Summoning a monster with 3 Tributes

This card cannot be Special Summoned. This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set except by tributing 3 monsters
