Punch the numbers.

Summon, let's say, Junk Warrior. (+0)

Revive Tuningware. (+1)

Machine Dupe (-1) to special summon 2 from deck (+2)

Send all to the grave (-4) to Synchro summon a monster (+1)

Draw 3. (+3)

So far, it's a +2

De-Synchro (-1) to send Synchro to Extra Deck (-1) and bring back all material (+4)

Send synchro material (-4) to Synchro summon a monster (+1)

Draw 3 (+3)

After this, it's a +4

I, personally, find De-Synchro to be much too much of a liability. Too often it can lead to being a dead card.

De-Synchro would've been much more playable if it were a Quick-Play like it's De-Fusion counterpart.

Nice card. Too bad it has nothing to do with De-Synchro.

Yes it will.

Then give reasoning.

Because drawing into it when you don't have a synchro, or when you do have a Synchro but didn't use the above combo to get it means it's a dead card and in a duel you want to avoid having dead cards as often as possible because it limits what you can do.

I'm not saying De-Synchro is good, or even remotely worth running, but couldn't you use it on an opponent's Synchro Monster?

^this^

And at one I don't really think it would hurt, especially if you built the deck around Tuningware and whatnot.

You lost me there. Reviving Tuningware without wasting a card on it... How?

Junk Warrior's effect

Still situational and noramlly it isn't good to -1 yourself to give your opponent a +1.

If I recall correctly, the OCG ruling is that it can only be used on your own field. TCG probably differs.

Also, unless your opponent used Malicious and Plaguespreader, you're still gonna end up with a -1. (Lose a card in hand, opponent gains 1 random monster and 1 Tuner.)

Granted, giving your opponent two, less powerful monsters and then knocking one out in battle might be the lesser of two evils in comparison to letting him keep a Synchro on the field.
