Question

Hi, i need help with this card maker, LOTS OF HELP

Question 1: What is the relation of ATK, DEF to the stars? in other words how do i know what the avg ATK or DEF for an amount of stars there are is? example: lets say one star is an avg of 500 ATK and 300 DEF?

Question 2: OCG means original card grammar yes? but what does that mean?

Question 3: what is considered a "good" card?

1) That can depend on a lot of things, such as effect.

2) OCG = Original Card Grammar = The text for effects. Good OCG means your card resembles the text of a real Yu-Gi-Oh card.

3) Example:

4 Stars

1600 ATK

1200 DEF

(That is a pretty basic, yet balanced card.)

@Envoy of Infinity: Well I think we both know who got to their 1,000 Post count first

1) It honestly depends on what all balances it out. If the ATK is high, likely is the DEF going to be low, or vice versa. If the effect is balanced, so should the monster's ATK and DEF. If the monster has a great effect, and ATK/DEF, then it should receive the "Special Summon this monster only by" clause and or Tributes. For Spells and Traps, make sure the conditions/payments are right for the effect so it can be fair.

2) The OCG has changed since the introduction of Synchro monsters, but you still can use some of the older forms, such as Tribute Summon in place of Advanced Summon. Extra Deck however now replaces Fusion Deck since the intro to Synchro monsters. Keep effects simple, try to add in originality, and if you get caught, look at other cards that inspired the your making or look into other people's instructions into making an OCG error-less card.

3) A good card is one that people would want to use in a Deck. (Duh :P). Normal monsters have since died, but still get support nontheless. A general card would be something like Exiled Force vs. a focused card like Emergency Teleport. If your making a set, it is wise to be focused, but in other cases, it's standard to make general cards.

1: That depends of the effects of the monsters, just compare real cards. A monster with a powerful effect will have a high level, even with low ATK and/or DEF, like Yubel, and a monster with a negative effect and low level is generally of high stats, like Giant Kozaky and Big Shield Gardna.

2: Is how you write the text on the cards. It should be like the real cards. Ex: You don't say "this card kills a monster and steals it's power". You say "When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle, increase this card's ATK the destroyed monster's Original ATK". Or something like that.

3: A good card must be balanced in the level, effect, ATK, DEF. The OCG must be good and the pic too.
