I always gotten told that this was a bad card, since it practically -1 yourself and can be much of a dead draw at times. But is it really that bad? I mean, it can get you pretty much a new hand, and if used on the first turn could be pretty good

Well this card is similar to reload. The cards are based on luck. So it depends, if your lucky it is good, if not it is bad. But when you have a really crappy hand, these cards are helpful.

Magical Mallet is not a good hand. If you draw it along with a terrible hand, it leaves it to lucksacking to get a good, fresh one. Most -1s are not that good, and this proves it.

It's obviously no staple and shouldn't be splashed in here, there, and everywhere, but in inconsistent Decks such as OTKs/FTKs which tend to get a lot of dead draws, it can help. The freedom of choice is great.

 

If your Deck doesn't have dead draw problems, Mallet's not as useful.

Needs to be used right. When used right, it does well.

I like it more than Reload, since you can SELECT how many cards you send to your Deck.

This card is rigged to phail in Wc08. Since its like Pot of Avarice, You are bound to draw at least 1 of the cards you return.

its used to draw ojamamagic and get the ojamas bk in the deck, then use card/hand destruction, to draw into the manti loop to draw exodia

Reload forces you to send all cards back to your Deck, whereas Magical Mallet can send any amount you want back to your Deck.

 

If it's the only card in your hand, then it's a dead draw. Otherwise it's okay.

It actually depends more on luck than it depends on the good cards in your deck, and yes 50% means dead draw 50% means that you're gonna have the cards you need.

I use it in my zombie world/earthbound god deck, as I can return dead draws such as multiple zombie world or earthbound gods.(cant tribute summon when zombie world is on the field)
