Wow' date=' I'm really surprised at the number of Muslims. Also, I can't believe there's a Zoroatianist.

[/quote']

Omniveracaelism has heavy Zoroastrian influences. That was me.

I don't have one' date=' but if it wasn't a dead religion, i would follow the Ancient Egyptian Religion

[/quote']

That's pretty cool. Did you know the Old Greecian Religion is just a copy of the Egyptian's religion? The Romans' Religions were copies of several, mostly Greek.

Greek and Egyptian religions coexisted and were not derivative; indeed, some texts regarding the Trojan War claim that Helen was sent to Egypt by the gods and worshiped there as Isis.

I'm baptised a lutheran, but I got that first eucharist ceremony as a catholic.

So I guess that makes me christian without any specific affiliation. All the different types of christianity are the same with minor details and differently conducted ceremonies.

Funny story: When I went from a lutheran school to a catholic school back in 5th grade, the other students said I would go to hell for being a lutheran not a catholic. These were people who thought that catholic, lutheran, and christian were all seperate religions >_> (rediculous part being, they thought christian was a entirely seperate religion instead of a broad classification for all the different versions)

Tell those jerks at your Catholic school to go read a book...or Wikipedia. That makes me mad, what idiots.

"Minor"? The Catholic, Episcopal, and Pastoral churches are all clerical, while the Baptist church is congregationalist, the United Church of Christ is transcendentalist, and Unitarian Universalist churches don't even recognize the divinity of Christ; yet, these churches are all technically Christian.

What does it matter? A Christian is one who believes in Christ and all of them do, right? Besides; Judaism, Christianity, and Islam all have the exact same God.

So? The differences between them is who the Messiah was (Jews=Neither, Christians=Jesus, Muslims=Muhammed).

And the comment earlier about Catholics believing that differect sects are different religions entirely isn't that far from the truth. You may believe the same things, but practice can vary to the point of seperatism.

Oh, and hooray for Catholicism

Oh, and hooray for Catholicism

Muhammad is not an Islamic Messiah. He is their prophet.

Literally, both the Sunni and Shia believe that Muhammad is God's prophet, not the Messiah.

I don't have time in my schedule to be religious. For me there is a god but i don't have time to give a damn.

Nonreligious

A lot of my aunts and uncles are like that. They don't go to church or anything, but I always find a Bible somewhere in their house. They just don't have the time for religion.

Atheist' date=' I stand!

And Confucianism is not a religion, it is a way of thinking! In fact, so is Juche! (or not)

Regilion is defined by the existence of faith & god, so cancel all of the above that don not involve a "God"

[/quote']

First: Not true. Juche and Confucianism are known as both religions and idealistic movements. This is a well debated part of Religious Geography. In my own opinion, Confucianism is not a religion, while Juche (not the Korean Government type Juche) is a belief that you, in yourself is basically the world. Almost like...we are all robots, and the Juche believer is the only person.

Second: Not all religions involve a god or supreme being. Scroll through the past couple of pages and see my own mistake in this. Buddhism is an atheistic religion.

Third: Definition of Religion- A set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe.

Don't worry. These are simple mistakes made in most of the mainly christian western world. If you take a class on religion you'll understand. I used to think the same.

You're right on this.

Blame the West for twisting the concept of religion...and other things I will not mention as it will be way too long...
