Female Narrative Voice: “Duel Monsters. The world’s next biggest attraction as well as the best entertainment you can find. “Dueling” had become quite popular around the entire world and soon after, schools started opening up. Shops began to open and new ways of Dueling rose. Holographic Dueling came out shortly after, and it allowed the “Duelists” to face off and view the cards internal monster. It seemed so real. Then came Duel Disks, which was nothing more than a Holographic Dueling System that was mobile. The rest came soon after. Duel Monsters had become a Pro thing, and schools opened; looking for young Duelists with the Potential of becoming a Pro. More and more schools opened and more and more people became pro Duelists. This process had taken over 200 years, and Duel Monsters evolved into the biggest Entertainment and Profitable Enterprise throughout the entire world. Sports seemed to lose ratings. Duel Monsters had climbed the latter and crushed all of its competition. That’s the basic idea of our history.

The world has changed much since the early Duel Monster years. Technology has come so far and we have perfected the idea of dueling without having to carry around Duel Disks. Instead, everyone, at least all the Duelists, wear a wristband. That wristband contains a Duel Disk in it. How you ask? We can’t really explain. A company that had been experimenting with some particles and different energies had come out with a way to do this. You can get the wrist band in any color you want, and the color of the energy comes custom as well. These are quite expensive and they are very Rare to find.. Unless of course you join a Duelist Academy.

In today’s world, there are hundreds, maybe even thousands of Duelist Academies across the globe. Each of them with their own unique Duelists that have their own style of Dueling. Not all schools are as powerful as the others, but the wrist bands are distributed to all of them for a very low price. It is expensive to get in these schools, but if you wish to become a Pro Duelist, it is necessary to do this.

Each school faces off with the others in tournaments; each tournament is on a different level than the other. For each level is based on the Duelist’s own skill level as well as experience. Each Academy itself determines the level of its Academies Students; some schools are tougher than others. The top 100 schools are actually the ones that you must be pretty tough to do this. They are well known. If your school enters the top 50, then the school will automatically get free “Duel Bands” which are of course the wrist bands that have the energy made Duel Disks in them. If you fall out of the top 50, you lose your free shipments until you enter again, which makes schools push to get stronger Duelists.

Unfortunately, becoming a Pro is a lot of work. And it takes a lot of time. And only the top 5 Duelists in each school are guaranteed a Pro spot. The only way to become a Pro is spend 10 years in the school, and then take the Pro exam. If you become a top 5, you must keep that spot for three years OR until your graduation if you graduate before the 3 years is up. If you lose the top 5 position, then you will just continue the normal life and wait for graduation or get good enough for the top 5 again and wait the three years out if your graduation is a longer wait than that. That is all the information you will need for now, so I’ll talk to you again soon.”
The voice faded away.

A mans voice: It looks like you’ve lost this Duel Tetsu. I suggest you just give up.

A tall man with long blue hair that was in a black ponytail was sitting in front of a young duelist as he spoke. He was wearing a black trench coat with a white button up shirt underneath. The top 3 buttons were undone and some of his chest showed. On his chest he wore a necklace with a cross on it. Next to him was a laptop, and after every move he made, and his opponent made, he recorded what happened in the laptop. The mans name was Mugen Hogosha; the owner of a small card shop that held amateur Dueling Tournaments and such. He was once one of the top 20 Pro Duelists, but he retired without warning after losing a Title Match.

A young boys voice: I won’t give up! I summon my strongest monster in attack mode! Go Vorse Raider!{Vorse Raider: Level 4//DARK//Beast-Warrior//ATK/1900 DEF/1200} Now my Vorse Raider will attack your face-down!

A boy had yelled out. The boy had silver hair, not like an old person, more like a stylish kind of silver with a stylish haircut as well. His blue eyes were filled with such innocence. He wasn’t all that young though, he was just short. He was 17, but most people thought he was 12. He had recently gotten into Duel Monsters and drew the Vorse Raider from a pack at this very shop. The owner, Mugen, taught him everything he knew about Dueling and had battled him almost everyday. His name was Tetsu Naito. The Duel they were in now was almost complete.

Mugen: 4000
Tetsu: 1300

Mugen Hogosha: Well, it seems I have done enough to win this Duel already. You should have seen this coming Tetsu, you have played me enough to know my entire deck. Though this is the first time you have faced my real deck. You destroyed my face-down, but you have a price to pay for that. I reveal my face-down, Wall of Illusion. {Wall of Illusion: Level 4//DARK//Fiend//ATK/1000 DEF/1850; Effect: The monster attacking this monster is returned to its owner's hand. The damage calculation is applied normally.}

Tetsu Naito: Oh no! I guess I end my turn.

Mugen: You did great Tetsu, but I’m going to end this Duel with my Signature Monster. I remove from play three of my Fiend-Type Monsters to summon the almighty, Dark Necrofear! {Dark Necrofear: Level 8//DARK//Fiend//ATK/2200 DEF/2800; Effect: This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned by removing from play 3 Fiend-Type monsters in your Graveyard. If this card is destroyed by battle, or by your opponent's card effect while it is a Monster Card, equip it to a monster your opponent controls during the End Phase of this turn. Take control of the equipped monster.} Now I attack your life points directly and end the duel.

Tetsu: I lost again! Dammit to hell!

Mugen: Calm down Tetsu. You dueled well against my deck. That was my real deck you faced, so don’t worry about it. Not many duelists ever get to see my real deck; I just wanted to show it to you for your birthday. Today you turned 17.

Tetsu: Oh, how considerate. Your gift was crushing me with your real deck.

Tetsu said with an annoyed look on his face. Though he looked annoyed, he was happy. Mugen was his only friend in this world, but not because of him having anything wrong with him. He was just a loner. Not many people ever understood what that felt like, so they didn’t understand him. Mugen smiled at him and stood up. He walked behind the counter and handed Tetsu the envelope that he pulled out. Tetsu started to read it as Mugen answered.

Mugen: Actually, I have a present for you.

Tetsu: ………

Mugen: What you read is correct. I have you scheduled for a match next week to enroll in the local Duelist Academy.

Tetsu: Oh. That’s cool…

Tetsu said with the sad expression even worse. He looked down at his deck as he assembled his cards and kept his head down low. He seemed upset about his gift. He stared at his deck and then finally looked up at Mugen.

Mugen: What’s the matter? Shouldn’t you be happy?

Tetsu: I am. But… My deck… I’m not going to win anything with this deck.

Mugen: Oh. That reminds me. I have the rest of your gift ready. It’s a deck!

Tetsu looked up at him with a weird look in his eye. He couldn’t believe it. The man that had given him this deck. The man that taught him Duel Monsters. The man that had just crushed his deck had also given him an opportunity to become great. And now, also had a deck to help him become great as well. This was too good to be true.

Tetsu: Your not joking around like last time are you?

Mugen: Joking? Prank? I have never pulled a prank on you like making you take a bus to another city for an Amateur tournament before! How dare you accuse me of such things!

Tetsu: I didn’t even say all that! And as a matter of fact you did do that to me!

Mugen looked around and then ran in the back. He hoped kind of joyfully as if taunting Tetsu. He then walked back out with a deck box in his hand, slowly making his way toward Tetsu.

Mugen: To be honest. I have no idea the decks true power. I never once used it. I had just formed the deck recently and decide to give it to you. This was going to be MY newest deck, but you can have it instead. You will need it.

Tetsu was searching through the deck and noticed that all the monsters were Warrior-Type Monsters. As he looked he noticed a set of cards that seemed to revolve around each other. The monsters were the “Seven Swordsman”. They were recently created and were truly rare. No one had the set yet, which made this deck so much more meaningful for Tetsu.

Tetsu: Thank you Mugen… for everything.

Mugen: Umm.. What is that supposed to mean!? You sound like your already leaving!!!!! Me and you.. or should I say you and me!? Have a lot of work to do before you can Duel anyone with that deck! So let’s begin your training immediately.

It all sounded like the normal Mugen, until he made it to the last line. “Let’s begin your training immediately.” Nothing wrong to say, but it was the first time in a long time Tetsu had seen Mugen actually serious. It was chilling because Mugen had a cold stare when he was serious. It was as if he was out for blood. Tetsu would hate to Duel him when serious. But now, he would have too.

5 Days Later: In the Dueling Academy Arena

Mugen: You have come a long way since we first met. I just wanted you to know, I’m proud of you.

Tetsu: Stop being so serious, it’s scary.

Mugen: Serious!? Who!? You stop being so serious jerk!

Tetsu: That’s better. I was getting nervous.

Mugen: There is nothing to worry about Tetsu! If you lose this Duel, it just means your future as a Duelist is over! No pressure at all!

Tetsu: Then again. The serious you isn’t an idiot! IDIOT!!!!

They walked into “Hirogaishen Duel Academy” together. The number 4 school in the world, this school didn’t accept everyone, not even most winners were accepted here. You had to truly be a strong Duelist to get in. Now was the test for Tetsu, to see if he was strong enough to enter this Academy.

Mugen:Next Time on Yu-Gi-Oh! Do As Infinity! Tetsu is in a real tough Duel and has to face a relentless opponent! Will he draw the card he needs or be destroyed!?
Tetsu: I need just one more card to beat you, you bastard! Let me draw that card!
