ragnarok1945
yeah, if you're going to do it for the hell of it. I wonder how practical it really is, since I've never used them
Guest
Not a big deal. Imagine using fire arrows this time, and burning small items and enemies. Also, wait, I think ice arrows don't work in Ocarina of Time, I think they only freeze enemies, but anyway.
ragnarok1945
well then there's no point, it'll take too long to fire them anyway
Guest
Lol, it doesn't take even 'long' to fire them. You can do that in less than a second.:PTry it out and you will see.
ragnarok1945
1 second is far too long in plenty of cases on OOT
Light of Destruction
LOL, I hate the timed battles in it.
ragnarok1945
were there any timed battles you actually LIKED in OOT?
Guest
Personally, no. Timed battles suck.:lol:Despite, I would enjoy a timed battle only with a really strong enemy, like a darknut, an iron knuckle and so on.
ragnarok1945
I'd only enjoy fighting the Iron Knuckle as adult Link. How hard did you find fighting that Iron Knuckle in the Spirit Temple as kid Link?
Guest
How hard did you find fighting that Iron Knuckle in the Spirit Temple as kid Link? The first time, quite a lot. Kokiri sword spoils the whole thing, as I have said before. So yeah, It scared me big time.
ragnarok1945
It got much easier later on for you? I fought the Iron Knuckle plenty of times and even by the 8th time over it still felt only slightly easier.
Guest
It got much easier later on for you? Yes, that applies for all minibosses for me.;)
ragnarok1945
It was for me when I fought Dark Link in the water temple, but I still can't do it very well with the master sword. I need the biggoron sword for that.
Light of Destruction
To beat Dark Link, In all my bottles, potions that fill your magic meter, and use Din's Fire like crazy! The timed battles were hard for me because of the sand! It slowed you down.
ragnarok1945
Did you end up using the master sword against him too?
Guest
In compare with the Biggoron Sword, Master Sword sucks d*ck. And yeah, I fought him with the MS too, though it seems more convenient to battle 'im with BS; you inflict more damage every time you stab. ragnarok1945
There were more than enough times I wonder who would actually play the game WITHOUT getting the biggoron sword (other than to test it once for the hell of it to see how much harder it would be)
Light of Destruction
Getting it is hard since you have to climb up death mountain AND your timed I had like 4 seconds I got to the top with 10, but It was hard to talk to the guy.
ragnarok1945
yeah well I find it a small price to pay in getting it to make the rest of the mission easy
Light of Destruction
I hate getting through Kakariko to Lake Hylia. But if you teleport you lose even more time!
ragnarok1945
I never tried teleporting there. Explain why you'd lose more time.
Guest
I hate getting through Kakariko to Lake Hylia. But if you teleport you lose even more time! Wait, Kakariko and Lake Hylia are too far from each other. Plus, teleporting with your Ocarina makes it more easy, you don't lose time.... ragnarok1945
then do you gain extra time via teleport?
Saturn of Elemia
No, I've tried teleporting before. Doesn't really work. It's not THAT hard to get from Lake Hylia to the top of Death Mountain in 4 minutes. Just make sure you're a good shot with Arrows near the end and you'll do just fine. Rolling is a little faster than walking through Karakiro and up Death Mountain. I've made it to the top with almost a minute to spare before. 8)
ragnarok1945
Yeah I tend to roll more when I first played the game (early stages to reach hyrule castle for the first time by day so I don't have to deal with the enemies by night)
