Saturn of Elemia
minus a heart? Why would you lose a life that way? It's the same for Kid Link and Adult Link. If you get lost in the desert' date=' you get sent back to the beginning minus a heart. Don't get the logic behind it. Dehydration, perhaps. Thanks. I cannot find the last carpenter. Just be persistent. The Gerudo Fortress isn't that hard to find. If you run out of Arrows to stun the guards, use your Longshot to paralyze them and then use the sword to knock them out. Does only the long shot work? Doesn't the short range one work too? In the off-chance that you DON'T have the Longshot by the time you get to the Gerudo Fortress, it still works just the same. The Longshot just makes it so that the risk of getting caught is non-existent. Using the plain Hookshot runs a greater risk of getting caught due to the shorter range. ragnarok1945
have you ever used the hookshot before in the fortress?
Saturn of Elemia
have you ever used the hookshot before in the fortress? I've used the Longshot, but not the Hookshot. I only head to Gerudo Valley after finishing the Shadow Temple. I usually don't run out of Arrows before I have to rely on it, though. (I'm a pretty good shot with Arrows)
ragnarok1945
I still need to work on my accuracy with arrows myself, was never good in that sense (and was the reason why I had problems fighting Phantom Ganon initially)
-Berserker-
I made it to the heart piece on the roof of the fortress. Do i need to return somewhere or i am in the way of finding the last one?
ragnarok1945
I think you need to return somewhere, let me check online again
Saturn of Elemia
The Heart Piece is just a bonus. It's out of the way. Keep searching around. The fortress is tricky, but not that large. Draw a map if it helps.
ragnarok1945
Did you have to draw a map when you played it the first time through? I didn't and it took me hours to get through it because I didn't know where I was going
Saturn of Elemia
Did you have to draw a map when you played it the first time through? I didn't and it took me hours to get through it because I didn't know where I was going When I first played, it only took me 20 minutes. (I got lost and found the last one on accident) I had to draw a map the second time I tried since I wanted to make it easier, but it didn't work so well. I just tried to remember which doors I had gone through already; that made it a bit easier.
-Berserker-
Well, then i'll try again (and again, and again). I just want to leave that ugly fortress (full of hot red headed women).
ragnarok1945
you should just youtube the walkthrough to get out of there quickly (some of my friends did in places there didn't want, especially the water temple)

ragnarok1945
you mean remind, and yeah, I doubt there was a single person who liked that temple
Saturn of Elemia
you mean remind' date=' and yeah, I doubt there was a single person who liked that temple[/quote'] The Water Temple in all the Zelda games are the least favorite since they are always a maze. The Spirit Temple is going to be FUN, trust me...
ragnarok1945
I didn't have too much trouble navigating through there. The non-fun part is when you're forced to fight that Iron Knuckle
-Berserker-
Is that Iron Knuckle a hand to hand fight like those lizards or skulls from previous stages?
ragnarok1945
a little bit, but as far as SaturnPaladin is concerned, only the kid link fight should be hard
Saturn of Elemia
Yeah, the Iron Knuckle fight is a one-on-one fight. There are pillars scattered around the room. If you can lure the Iron Knuckle near one and get it to swing its axe, the pillar will drop 3 hearts. You'll probably need them since, as I mentioned earlier, that axe does a LOT of damage. ragnarok1945
What's the minimum times you needed those hears in order to beat it?
Saturn of Elemia
What's the minimum times you needed those hears in order to beat it? Kid Link: Needed 2 pillars and 1 fairy (Kokiri Sword sucks against Iron Knuckle)Adult Link: None (Biggoron Sword and Jump Slash dropped Iron Knuckle quickly)
ragnarok1945
Interesting. I can only do it without the fairy if I use ALL the pillars. One of my friends was able to do it without any fairies with just 3 pillars.
Saturn of Elemia
If you can get behind the Iron Knuckle (or at least on its side), you can do it without taking a single hit. It's just a matter of knowing when it's going to swing the axe vertically or horizontally.
ragnarok1945
yeah, and I can never do that, every time I prepare for one way, it chooses to swing it the other way, drains my life bar WAY too fast
