Moderator Approvement of Threads System?

On another forum im a member on which shall not be named in some of the sub-forums when a member posts a new thread. This would be useful in contests forum, My Deck forum and the Clubs forum.

 

For example lets say i wanted to post my Contest up. I have to wait until a Mod approves the thread until it becomes visible on the forums. The disapproved threads will get deleted off the server or something. This will stop threads like this popping up:

OMG. Joinz my contest. Make loadz of cardz and if there cool i'll give y0ou my oblisk.

 

Who agrees this would stop pointless Spam and the creation of threads that will go dead in a flash?

Could you explain a bit clearer? All i'm seeing is a waste of bandwidth if your thinking of the ability to post sub-forums then

1. We'd have hundreds of newbies posting sub-forums

2. Waste of Bandwidth

3. Would probably end up in arguements and flaming

That would take too long. Forget it. Mods would tire and quit, and YCM would be like the economy right now. NOT SUPPORTED.

I don't like it. it would take too long to post a tread just to weed out a couple spam threads that could just as easily be reported and locked which would be much more convenient to the members

It's too much work. When mods see a thread that's spam, they lock it and there are no more problems. If more then 50% of threads were spam, this would make sence.

While the initial idea may sound good at first, particularly with Your Deck, it's just too much. Mods can just lock the thread if it's not good enough.

I've seen this on YTV Forums (don't ask...) and every time I tried to post a new thread, it took a day to get approved. Leave the forums as they are.

It's not preferable seeing spammy threads every day, but i guess that approving system would be exhausting for the mods, a big burden. So it's a ''no''.

I'm not going to sit through a average of around 1000 Posts a day just to approve then. I don't support.
