Izanami in a bottle, but somehow this is a lot more bearable than Izanami in Naruto.

Not quite sure how I feel about this honestly. Mayuri had more difficulty with Szayel. Against Hitsugaya, he didn't even have to use Bankai, or even release Shikai. This victory against a captain seems a bit too easy.

The thought just occurred to me.

Why is there any mortal danger in this series at all?

90+% of the cast is ALREADY DEAD.

I've just given up trying to explain this part of the series.

I think they mention that there's also a hell but I don't even think it's relevant at this point considering how many sick bastards are in Soul Society.

I thought the chapter was pretty bad.

[spoiler=]

Not only are more characters "dead" off screen (I'm not certain the zombies will turn back) but 2 characters we saw NOTHING of just got finished off. Honestly, Pepe was thebest thing about the chapter since it continues the theme of the Vandenreich being really weird people that put you off center.

I honestly don't care for this series much anymore.

Sure, I'm glad they killed off some crappy characters. But Kubo is just trying way to dang hard.

The point is crushing defeat Ichigo save us and we all get it already, move on to some real action.

The amount of turning on each other though is just pissing me off.

I'm not exactly going to drop it at this point, but...

Meh. Mayuri still remains the only reason to read Bleach.

Byakuya fodderizing 3 quincies off-panel?  One of them previously stalemated the current CC? Yeah, bullshit.

And I have absolutely no love for Mr. Love. He looks ridiculous(there is no way this guy can be a war captain), and is pretty much a clone of the 7th Espada.

And what is with all of these weird powers all of a sudden? I can understand elemental affinity, but what ever happened to bows and arrows?

Mayuri is the kind of character you love to hate. Dude is a horrible human, but is way more fun to watch than he should be.

O wow, he kind of is.

Yea, that is a tad strange. Meh, I like that a lot of them are really weird and make you feel off balance.

I don't if I like this new Zommari guy. Using 'love' powers to make Byakuya attack himself? Kinda weird. Making his own comrade attack him is low. Being dark-skinned goes for some nice diversity amongst his foreign-themed cohorts, though. Tbh, I was more interested in Mayuri fighting his creep-counterpart.

Figured I'd do another look at the Sternritter list to see if we're any closer to getting through all of them.

We still don't know even know the letters of Shaz and the old guy, we haven't had Yhwach, Uryu, Haschwalth, Askin, BG9, or NaNaNa's epithets revealed, and we still don't even know who C, M, N, W, or X are. While Shaz and the old guy should be at least two of them, that still gives us three Sternritter we haven't even met yet. The last time I looked at this was in May. We have had three months, and all that has been accomplished is that there has been one new Sternritter who has been introduced to us. I can't even remember which one, but it might have been either Pepe or Askin. I get it, Kubo is allowed to take his time with them, but good lord, with as many Sternritters as he expects us to have to sit through, he needs to hurry the hell up.

Can't he just end this series with something like

"and then jesus came and sent them all to hell"

He's literally pulling all of this out of his butt.

.~.

At least give us more villains that are cool. I thought le Quincy were supposed to be dignified, and instead...

We have mr. love man, a trap creepy freak, these female rapists, this guy that has everything he imagines actually occur while being on his drug trip

With Bleach's popularity taking a mad tumble during the Fullbring arc, Jump likely told Kubo next arc was it.

However, Bleach had risen to the point where it would never just be canceled even if it's consistently the least popular series in the current line-up, it was too big for too long. So taking advantage of this, Kubo decided to repeat his formula by focusing on every single battle between every single secondary character, but this time based on each letter in the alphabet, guaranteeing at the very least 2-3 years of a job just by going down the alphabet list of bad guys, taking his sweet time doing so as well.

Kubo can get away with the minimalist effort and we just got to put up with that. And hope that he at least learns from his time writing Bleach and does a lot better with his next manga.
