I'm also willing to bet that either Mask will have magically healed his eardrums for the next chapter. Or Kubo will reveal that he can infact lip read just for the hell of it.

I think what's annoying me the most about Bleach right now is that just well so many characters are being shoe-horned out of doing anything decent, for really short and entirely unhelpful to the plot moments.

Like for example: Yoruichi hasn't been featured in the entire arc. Then Hisagi, Ikkaku and Yumichika (With Hisagi being all but confirmed to have access to Bankai now) just get knocked out without doing anything. The there's all of the Fullbringers coming back... And I think it was Grimjoww implied to be coming back... And it's just, annoying that there's so many people who are undoutably going to turn, do very little, then get swept aside by some random quincy with no prior background.

I could, and most people could probably list a lot more of these things happening through-out the series.

The chapter was bad though, despite how awesome Rose's Bankai was.

That beam just disgusted me. It was so anti-climatic to go "beam" and cut the new captain flashing his bankai all of a sudden.

Same with how Shinji was just beat so damn fast that I can't remember if it happened off-screen or not. He's not just a visored, but the leader of them. Captain level with improved powers from hollows seems to be worth nothing here.

In fairness to Shinji in his... It was a complete shock, and that girls power was sort of stupid considering it took something immortal not to get one shotted by her.

But yeah, it is really stupid about how being a Visored seems to mean you'll die even quicker here

We need something like One Piece's "Haki" in Bleach.

Many powers in Bleach are just that over-the-top. Like what you'd see a couple kids saying when fighting with their toys.

"but my robot can increase his size to 10 times the sun and go back in time to stop your lazer beam of doom!"

"well MY robot can make your robot instantly explode with his mind and cancel time-traveling powers!"

"No but mine can copy your powers twice as big so it is better"

"Mom! He's cheating!"

Unohana... I still don't know what her Bankai does...

Funnily enough, that situation had the exact opposite problem the last two chapters have had.

It's not that hard to make them think it, Kubo. I know it's not exactly natural for someone to think through their Bankai's mechanics in their head, but it's waaaaay better than them being stupid about it out loud.

True, both are problems.

Saying out loud how they work, and having confusing scenes where not even the crowd can see how it does.

There's narrator, the user thinking about it, the opponent figuring it out, and probably other ways to go about it better. The latter being probably the best one.

Or at least let Rose beat him and then explain. He only lost because he explained his powers.

^ You might be right, But I can't think of it as a joke.

It's feels fairly insulting to me to have 2 of the strongest captains get beaten so easily. They not only underestimated their opponent when the whole of soul society was invaded, Once they realized their enemy was stronger than expected, they still for some reason chose not to use their full power to defend soul society and instead made entry-level rookie mistakes which lead to their defeat.

But that's just my view. in another light it may seem funny.

If Renji, a Vice Captain, went to the Zero Division and now seems to be stronger than 2 other Captains, why didn't the whole Gotei 13 go on up and get a power boost?

Better yet, couldn't they have sent a couple Zero Division members down to do it in Soul Society?

Soul King's a dick if he wouldn't let any of the Zero Division help out with Soul Society.

Anyways, glad wrestler dude's done for. At least I hope he is. I swear, if Kubo drags this fight any longer...

I know Renji'll be curbstomped soon, but just let it be by someone else at least.

Because training the entire Gotei 13 woulda taken forever, and besides, a lot of them probably didn't have what it takes.

Nah, I'm pretty sure he's full on done for. Hopefully.

Eh, Renji'll probably last for a while. Kubo wouldn't waste a plot device like Renji.

561: "This is my power, and this is how it works...NO! YOU COUNTERED IT!"

562: "Hi, I'm Renji. I'm late for my mandatory beatdown, aren't I? Rukia, go be irrelevant like a good shonen girl while I continue my failed quest to be Bleach's Piccolo."

Does that mean we're gonna have to go through more expositions? This is gonna be a looong arc.

_____

Yes it will be. Kubo plans to milk every cent he can out of this rotten husk of a manga.

He will drag this out as long as possible.

He doesn't care about making a good story.

He doesn't care about a dramatic, satisfying conclusion.

He doesn't care if more readers leave out of boredom or annoyance.

He will pad out everything.

He will make up new characters to help his writer's block (I didn't know battle manga could have writer's block.)

He will dedicate ten whole issues to the backstory of dust if he can fit it in (and, he'll find a way.)

He will stop the story at a climatic scene for a hundred issues to explain how and why Renji, Hitsugaya, and Kenpachi have their hair like that, where the hair gel comes from, the backstory behind the hair gel, and the backstory behind the hair gel's creator.

He is Tite Kubo, and his writing process...actually makes a lot of sense now.

Dolla, dolla, bill ya'll.

So Renji > 2 upper-tier captains confirmed?

I think that it was pretty obvious that the three of them were gonna have a magnificent power boost, well over that of a captain.

Also, anyone sad that we didn't see any hollow action? Did they lose that power or something? Or maybe they just didn't receive the chance to Hulk-out.
