I'm fine with Kyoraku saying that. They so rarely use that power the reader is likely to forget they have it too.

Anyway, I liked the bit with Kyoraku and the Iron dudes line. The bit with the wrestler was actually pointless.

Pretty much this for me.

I found it funny Rukia and Renji look like they're going to go ski later.

9th Division Captain's Bankai's cool, but there's no excuse for explaining how it works to the enemy. I mean, S guy probably isn't smart enough to exploit the weaknesses laid out in 9th guy's exposition, but still.

Hope this doesn't drag too long, let's get back to the main fights.

Bleach does that pretty often doesn't it? The explaining of attacks and abilities to their enemy, as a way to have the audience understand what just happened (it's a pretty cheap way I know) and as a way to make stuff sound dramatic/hopeless/whatever feeling they try to compel.

I think it's bad.

On another note, I still believe the zero squad seems to look at all this mess as a funny thing, and don't seem to care to go help the people they once lived with.

I concur. If anything, take the Toriko approach and just explain it through narration.

And I remember now, he did show it before. This was our first explanation behind it, though.

No, I remember it. We saw it back in the Fake Karakura Town arc, but I can't remember who it was against. Was it Wonderweiss?

Yes it was.

I like the way Toriko does it well enough, but it still kind of brings me out of it though.

Yes, that is true. The first time we didn't get to see any of it. He just used it and we cut away never to see him again for the arc. At least I don't remember him showing up after that point.

The problem with that is it's heavily used consistently to explain almost everything which can, as you say, take you out of the experience, but that's something for another thread.

I just hope we don't go through all of the 26 freaking fights with each letter minion, but I feel like that's exactly what's going to happen.

This is true. Explaining powers is always hard. I think the best way would be to have the characters figure it out, which is more so what they do in One Piece and Naruto.

Well, Zaraki already took out 3. Yama took out 2. 3 of the 4 that stole a bankai are also out. The guy Ichigo faced was also one of the stronger ones. So thats like 10 or so that have been beaten already.

Well… at least we saw Rose's Bankai, so I guess that counts for something.

Except seeing two new Bankais (I'm including Kensei's, since we hadn't seen it do anything before) get nullified and defeated completely - and not even being stolen - is kind of stupid in my opinion...

Not to mention they have hollow powers. USE THEM. God, this chapter was bad.

Also, Kubo continues to show he hates arm.
