Strider Tigerwolf Posted June 5, 2013 Report Share Posted June 5, 2013 From what I understood thus far: ["Old Man Zangetsu" = Quincy Powers (Yhwach's form from 1000 Years ago)] = A["White Zangetsu" = The Embodiment of his Hollow Powers in a physical form (White Ichigo) and the Embodiment of his Shinigami powers (the White Sword he holds)] = B[ichigo in his most basic for is "Human"] = C Combine: A+B = "Old Man Zangetsu" draining "White Zangetsu" and merging with him, therefore becoming extremely powerful.A+C= Ichigo's "Abilities" (being able to suspend midair, blut vene, etc, etc)B+C= Ichigo's "Bankai" (the source itself, "Old Man Zangetsu" acts as a medium for him to use it?)A+B+C = Ichigo being closest to a god or something though that's completely up to debate. One of the jokes I've seen is that if Bleach were to keep going it would turn out that Ichigo is part Dog and part of what ever family Komamura is. He's had the Final Getsuga Tensho and he got an upgraded Hollow Mask, so I would not be surprised if he achieved Quincy: Vollständig. Oh, and then he combines all three. TheComposer Posted June 8, 2013 Report Share Posted June 8, 2013 Remember when Ichigo fought his hollow side, and his hollow kept saying, "I am Zangetsu!" Well that makes sense now. Also I have a theory on why Ichigo's bankai can't be stolen. My guess is it is because it's not Ichigo's "real" bankai, since he obtained it with the fake Zangetsu. If the cloaked Zangetsu is an embodiment of Ichigo's latent Quincy powers, then shouldn't Yhwach be able to steal that? I'm thinking that something happened 1000 years ago that lead to the formation of "Old man Zangetsu" within Ichigo. And maybe that could be a reason why his "bankai" (fake or not) can't be stolen...or at least not as easily as the normal shinigami. Besides, we know the true Zangetsu is the fused form that we saw when Ichigo was trying to learn the Final Getsuga Tensho.I'm thinking this is actually a fake bankai and that this is not Ichigo's true potential...A powerful weapon and technique it was, but I don't think this is the true form... I was not happy that it seemed like he was going to become a villain, but the fact that he grew to be on Ichigo's side was nice. Still, Ichigo getting the real Zangetsu was about all that happened. That however begs the question of "how much power does Ichigo have." BUT when you think about the fact that Final Getsuga Tensho was something like the full limit of his Soul Repear powers that seems.....strange. O, Kubo. Still, this chapter did help matters. The symbology's nice, but it makes him once again super-speshul in a way that wasn't needed. (Also, they look kinda ugly. And by "kinda," I mean "really.")
