While I can't comment on the obviousness of Yammy being different, Harribel clearly outlived all the other Espada, including Barragan and Starrk (although this might just be special for rank Tres since there's also Nel's situation).

There's also the fact that it only made sense to have the cast fight the Espada in numerical order, as their number reflects their strength.

I'll also throw out there that Grimmjow might also still be alive.

I didn't count Halibel because she didn't die

I counted Grimmjow because his fate has been left ambiguous for so long

Also I absolutely loved this chapter from an artistic perspective, despite how short and pointless it felt

That only means she'll die later and therefore break the cycle

Basically, it confirmed that Ichigo came to save the day and that Juha Bach is dangerously genre savvy

Time to play Grammar Nazi! "What the actual funk" is most appropriate when intercourse is occurring within the context of the story. As that is not the case, I would instead advise using such phrases as "the entire funk."

[spoiler=Now then...]Blut Vene!? I thought people were joking when they said Ichigo would get Quincy powers! I am someone who is obsessed with combining stuff, but even I can tell that Ichigo being a Quincy is stupid, ridiculous, and overpowered.

Kubo, I sentence thee to the Boo Box.

[spoiler=Yep yep]

Seriously though? Is there no power left unique in Bleach? I mean, i chigo has Fullbring (human), Soul Reaper, Hollow, and now this?! Quincy?! Jeez, he's now the f*cking "Copy-Cat-F*ckass". That's his new title. It's canon.

But seriously, why, Kubo? You're main character copies the abilities of all of his enemies to defeat them and there's not even a particular reason for it? He's just human?

[spoiler: Silver lining]

You could see it as an homage to Urahara's genius since that has to be the only logical way that plot hax Ichigo has that ability. Which also begs to wonder why hasn't Mayuri just clouded the air with poison already and killed all the enemies but we can't go into the complex seemingly endless list of plot holes and garbage. That is Bleach writing.

And they gave Byakuya a somewhat proper send off my assassins can be called off now.

[spoiler=I mean,]that's the kind of ability I would expect from a villain. Or anyone with Mega Manning abilities, really, but still, I can't think of that being done with a main character too often outside of video games, and even then it's usually that the typical result is that they either can only use the abilities one at a time or overload on using so many powers at once. And really, we saw how Ichigo got all of his powers, although I think it remains to be seen whether or not he still has his Hollow powers. As such, his Quincy are the biggest example of his powers thus far to have come out of nowhere.

You know what, I bet he got them when he escaped from Kirgie's jail. In which case, these powers didn't just come from nowhere, he got them off panel.

Mayuri's Bankai woulda been stolen if he had used it, remember?

And Byakuya's death was sh*t. I don't give a f*ck about him anymore now that they've implied his death for 3 chapters now.

This. It doesn't help that we barely see his face. It's not a tearjerker, it's "Okay, what the hell Kubo, that is how you bring an end to one of the most long-lasting characters in the series?"

Who needs a bankai? He's a mad scientist he made a drug that accelerated a person reflexes to astronomical levels (or something to that effect) just for lulz. He has dummy organs and his poisons come with micro cameras so he can watch people for the rest of their lives. He admittedly stated that he was bored with quincies as a research subject because he had already "researched" them enough. So if he could make an anti-hollow bomb I don't see why he couldn't make an anti-quincy anything.

Let me put it this way. For this over-complicated example, we will use a bird and a worm. If Tite Kubo was writing life, the bird would not simply eat the worm. It would take that worm back to its nest and give it a long speech about its plan. Then, when the bird is ready to eat the worm, the worm would gain hollow powers and would defeat the inner-worm, this defeating the bird. BUT WAIT, THAT'S NOT THE END! TUNE IN NEXT TIME!

See, I can understand why everyone is mad, and yes, this is only getting stupider and stupider, but I'm going to play devils advocate.

Quincy powers REALLY aren't all that special. At their base level they are otherwise normal humans that are spiritually aware and are able to control reishi.Going from that, it would be safe to assume that anyone that has the ability to control reishi would be able to use their basics powers. In fact, I thought the stronger Shinigami were always able to use reishi as a way to guard from attacks. Since blut would just be a more advance form of this, so long as your a good at learning from your opponent, it stands to reason a Shinigami would be able to use that power as well.

Honestly, the problem is that any smart shinigami would at least try to figure out how they could take advantage of a Quincy's abilities since logic says they should be able to at least use some basic forms of their powers.

Wrong. It's been stated somewhere that control over both reiryoku and reishi at once is incompatible. One is internal manipulation of one's own power source, the other is external manipulation of inanimate objects and their constituent particles. All races other than Quincies have powers based off of themselves and their identities.

...at least that's what I would've liked to say, but tbqh this entire arc sucks. It's throwing whatever laws and rules I thought I had figured out about this universe out the window for the sake of the Rule of Cool. Kubo, your manga is bad and you should feel bad. |:

Ok, yea, your right. Those were the rules that were set up way back. Him going against them is just him being a bad author.

Ichigo's mother was a quincy, calling it now. Not much has been revealed about her, and Kubo wouldn't be able to resist turning one of the only human characters left, especially one so important, into a Quincy.

And Kubo hasn't lost it, he's just a terrible author.

Agreed.

Watch her be Ishida's dads sister or something and Ichigo and Uryu are cousins .-.
