TOPIC DIVERSION NO JUTSU.

Has anyone read the Bleach novels? The "Spirits are Always With You" ones? I found a thread with details and it gives a lot of depth into the nature of the Espada and what happened to the various Kenpachi.

[spoiler=Really major spoilers. This information isn't well propagated throughout the fandom yet and I might have misconstrued some stuff. Be warned, as this is canon now.]1) Szayel returns from hell. Somehow. He apparently has Segunda. Images!

2) All the Espada except for Aaronierro were Vasto Lorde, and it is inferred that they all have the potential to use Segunda Etapa (contrary to what Ulquiorra said) as well.

3) Mayuri gets put on trial for blowing up members of his squad before the battle with Uryu.

4) The eighth Kenpachi, Kenpachi Azashiro (痣城剣八, Azashiro Kenpachi), was sealed in the "Mugen" prison (same as Aizen) for committing treason against Soul Society. He breaks out as well. Somehow. From what I gather he's the big villain of this "arc."

5) His shikai's name is Urozakuro (雨露石榴, Rain Dew Pomegranate), and its spirit can somehow manifest as an illusion that only Azashiro can see. I don't know the full nature of what it does yet, though.

[spoiler=Huh]

1. How da fuq do you come back from Hell? And creepy as one would expect...

2. I can buy them being Vastos, but all have Segundas? Why da fuq wouldn't they use them last arc (unless they all unlocked them after death)?

3. I see that turned out well.

4. ...ah.

Wait, what's this about multiple Kenpachis?

5. Gah, more illusions.

Did Kubo write those novels? If so, why wouldn't he include these facts in the main story >_>

Kubo has co-written this. So yes, it's canon. Apparently he wanted to write this in separately to avoid stagnating the series.

[spoiler=More sheet. Once again, major spoilers.]1) Picture of Urozakuro. I found ones of Azashiro earlier but I lost it. ;3;

2) Seventh Kenpachi's surname is Kuruyashiki (刳屋敷剣八, Kuruyashiki Kenpachi), and apparently he's a spitting double for Ginjo.

3) The 100th Privaron is a clone of Szayel. This implied something about the Cero Espada (not Yammy) which is connected to Szayel but I have no clue how to describe it yet.

4) The 102nd Privaron is named Pikaro/Picaro (ピカロ), and he is split into multiple bodies resembling children.

[spoiler=Wait]

They can come back?

So......in theory....Starrk could comeback from this "hell"?

In theory, but from what I've been reading Starkk doesn't appear in hell.

[spoiler=More sheet. :'D]1) Kuruyashiki's bankai apparently allows him to "devour" anything within a radius many times greater than Karakura Town, completely eliminating them. He was also powerful enough to receive an invitation to the Royal Guard, but turned it down.

2) Azashiro uses 50+ level 90 kido at once, suggesting that the whole "combat only" thing in the Eleventh is new.

3) That nurse that healed Yammy in two scenes returns. (Original look.) Don't know her name yet, but her ress name is Teleraña (絡新妖婦, Cobweb) and can apparently copy powers.

4) Shunsui was apparently a good friend of Kuruyashiki's: the two of them liked to chat. However, Kuruyashiki was killed by Azashiro which made Shunsui take to drink.

5) Ashido (from the Menos Forest filler arc) shows up too, making him canon.

6) Found pictures of Kuruyashiki and Azashiro.

7) Azashiro's shikai deals with "fusion."

8) The Shinigami Academy massively overestimated a Menos Grande's strength in their textbooks.

Updated all three spoiler posts. I'll condense them once I finish reading through the thread where all this information's being released: it's massive.

And yeah. The Kenpachi name is given to the current captain of the Eleventh Division who killed the previous bearer in battle. So far we know four of their names:

[spoiler=In here.]7th: Kuruyashiki

8th: Azashiro

10th: Kiganjo

11th: Zaraki

[spoiler=Future novel spoilers go here.]1) Kuruyashiki's bankai (the "devouring" one) is named Garaku Kairō (餓楽廻廊). Garaku is a pun off of "ga" (hunger) and "garaku" (rubble), and Kairō means gallery. So it's something like Hungry Rubble Gallery. He can also only use it once every six months. It apparently is a living being like Minazuki.

2) Azashiro's bankai (not shikai, my bad) allows him to "fuse" with the air or something in Soul Society, giving him the ability to perceive everything and everyone and attack from any position. Apparently he likes to use it to cut out his opponent's tongue suddenly. While using it he's immune to Kyōka Suigetsu.

3) Szayel didn't come back from hell. He was once the Cero Espada, but cloned himself into an entity named Shien/Cien (likely the latter, as it'd be Spanish for 100) and divided his power thusly. Cien's (who became the 100th Privaron) goal now is to get back his previous strength. He also has his number tattoo on his eyeball. D8

4) Zaraki apparently fought Azashiro and shrugged off 50+ Itto Kaso from him. Damn.

5) Picaro's ress name is Langosta Migratoria (戯擬軍翅, Migratory Locust). No clue what it does yet. Release command is "play" (遊べ, asobe).

6) Nurse's name in romanji is Roka Paramia. No clue on the romanization.

7) As I mentioned previously, Roka's ress allows her to copy abilities. She has copied Gémelos Sonido, Cero Doble, El Uno Picotear, Ala Cortadora Dispersión, Lanza Tentáculo, and Mugetsu. The release command is "dance in ecstasy" (踊り狂え, odorikue).

8) One of Picaro's abilities is named Chuchería (菓菓楽土, Candy).

9) Szayel's clone's name is Cién.

10) Zaraki's zanpakuto ability (unwilling to call it shikai/bankai yet) adjusts his power level to that of who he's fighting. So he doesn't blow everyone up.

11) Hikifune (Kirio Hikifune was Hiyori's captain) is one of the four noble houses.

12) Kubo wrote a postscript. Page one, two.

13) Karakura Town map.

14) Szayel apparently originally ate his brother Yylfortz and used that power to make himself the original Cero, but he got a bit more obsessive and used his Gabriel power to somehow split Yylfortz back into a full arrancar from himself, making Yylfortz number 15. Szayel later cloned himself to make Cien, and some time later he regained his Espada status as number 8. When he later fell into hell, Cien then ate(?) him and "came back to life" in Soul Society, presumably from getting his full power back. Iunno, I'm confused too.

15) Roka (spider lady) somehow appears in the Thirteenth Division's barracks to talk to Shunsui about Kuruyashiki, who she had previously fought.

16) Picaro originally served Barragan, thinking it was "fun." Some of the kids are barely sentient and act like animals while others are more timid and shy. The leader is the boy in front wearing headphones. Lunuganga (the big sand Hollow Rukia killed) was originally their guard, but after his death they escaped. They also use the names of nursery rhymes as threats.

17) Azashiro's "Start of Darkness" was seeing his sister sacrifice herself to destroy a Hollow and save him.

18) Keigo gets a mohawk. 8'D

Updated fourth spoiler post.

EDIT: Lots more random notes in that post. Also, I'm foolish for not stating this before, but these novels take place in the 17 month timeskip between the Deicide and Fullbring arcs. They will probably not be directly referenced in future manga chapters.

EDIT 2: Finished reading through the aforementioned thread. I'll try summarizing what I learned sometime soon.

If Kubo kills off any more loved characters he's gonna get pneumonia. |:

Anyways, summarized the Spirits are Always With You information. It's in the spoiler below. Remember, until this is contradicted by Kubo himself this is getting treated as canon, considering he cowrote the novel and all.

[spoiler=Check it.]As a note, this story takes place in the 17 months between the Deicide and Fullbringer arcs, during which Ichigo has lost his powers. Don Kanonji is the viewpoint protagonist, but little if anything is known about his role in the story so far. There are five confirmed new characters, with more being possible.

Azashiro, Kenpachi (痣城剣八)

Picture.

The eighth Kenpachi and ex-captain of the Eleventh Division. He was imprisoned in the “Mugen” prison (the same one that Aizen was sentenced to) under accusations of high treason, but escaped through methods that aren’t entirely clear yet. From what has been seen of his dialogue, he is very confident in his abilities and knows how destructive he can be - his fall into darkness was started by seeing his sister sacrifice herself to a hollow to save him. His shikai is named Urozakuro (雨露石榴, Rain Dew Pomegranate), and its spirit takes the form of a blindfolded woman in a red-purple kimono that acts insanely. Azashiro’s bankai (name unknown) allows him to fuse with the entirety of Seireitei, allowing him to know everything that goes on there, form blades from the air to suddenly attack and turn into air to avoid damage. This also allows him to replicate body parts, which he used to make 50 mouths recite multiple Itto Kaso and Kurohitsugi incantations at the same time. His original name was Sōya (双也).

Kuruyashiki, Kenpachi (刳屋敷剣八)

Picture.

The seventh Kenpachi, aka the one that Azashiro killed to take the name. He was a close friend of Kyoraku’s and the two liked to hang out a lot: it was Kyoraku seeing him get killed that caused him to take to drink. His bankai, Gagaku Kairō (餓楽廻廊, Hungry Pleasure Gallery - romanization and translation unconfirmed), takes the form of multiple toothy beasts that consume anything within a radius several times larger than Karakura Town. It is powerful enough to be banned from use at all in Soul Society and for Kuruyashiki to receive an invitation to join the Royal Guard, one which he turned down. However, it has the weakness of only being usable once every six months.

Cién (シエン, Shien - romanization unconfirmed but likely)

Picture, in Segunda Etapa.

A clone of Szayel Aporro Grantz and the 100th Privaron. He was generated from Szayel, who was the original Cero Espada but split his power out of scientific curiosity, creating his brother Yylfort (who he originally devoured) as well. After Mayuri kills him and his corpse is sent to the Twelfth Division researchers, Cien appears randomly, stating he “wants his power back.” It is revealed that all Espada (except Aaronierro) were Vasto Lorde and that Szayel had Segunda Etapa: since Cien is his clone, he has access to it as well. However, what it does is as of now unknown, and his regular Resurreccion is presumed to be the same. His name is literally “Hundred,” and he has his number tattoo on his left eyeball.

Parramia, Loca (ロカ・パラミア, Roka Paramia - romanization unconfirmed)

Original look, “new” look, in Resurreccion.

The nurse who was seen healing Yammy in the manga and seemingly getting killed for her troubles. She appears one day in Ugendo (Ukitake’s personal quarters) to ask Kyoraku about Kuruyashiki, who she had once met. Her Resurreccion, Teleraña (絡新妖婦, Cobweb), has the release phrase of “dance in ecstasy” (踊り狂え, odorikue). It allows her to copy abilities and use them as her own: it’s unknown whether she has to see them used first. So far, she has copied Gémelos Sonido; Cero Doble; El Uno Picotear; Ala Cortadora Dispersión; Lanza Tentáculo; and Mugetsu.

Piccaro (ピカロ, Pikaro - romanization unconfirmed)

Picture (top one).

The 102nd Privaron. They are not one entity, but multiple children of varying genders. Some of them act like vicious animals while others are more timid and shy. Their leader is a young boy with headphones (presumably his mask fragment). Piccaro originally served in Barragan’s court, mainly because it was “fun.” They were later imprisoned and guarded by Runuganga, the large sand hollow that Rukia killed, but after his death they escaped. Their Resurreccion is named Langosta Migratoria (戯擬軍翅, Migratory Locust), and one of its abilities is named Chuchería (菓菓楽土, Candy). What it does, however, is unknown. The release command is "play" (遊べ, asobe).

Other characters which are mentioned in the novel are listed below: some of them are known to play a large role, but others may not even appear.

- Shunsui Kyoraku

- Kenpachi Zaraki (his shikai is revealed to adjust its power to whomever he fights)

- Kirio Hikifune (we learn her family is one of the Four Noble Houses)

- Keigo Asano (only appears in passing at the beginning with a mohawk!)

- Ashido Kano (this makes him canon)

- Mayuri Kurotsuchi (gets put on trial for blowing up shinigami in his fight with Uryu)

Don't think that's gonna happen, although I'd really like them to. ;3;

And until I can get my hands on translations, this is probably gonna be all the information we know. The only site I know of that has them is closing them off to any new members due to theft, so that'll make it even more difficult.

Guess my post was badly worded. They're not letting any new members into the forum on the website where the chapters are being posted, and the summary thread seems to be moving abysmally slow.
