  • 4 weeks later...

I take it for DEF purposes. Why does this deck not have at least 1 Hamon, Lord of Striking Thunder just for a bit of power? It would be much easier to summon than Rainbow Dragon, has 4000 ATK and DEF, would add some damage AND would add even more DEF to the deck.

it takes too much to get rainbow dragon out and he's a waste, plus this deck is illegal

if you want a serious CB deck run an OTK, heavy hitting CB's, 3 of each

Mammoth

Tiger

Pegasus

x3 Charbuncle (due to swarm effect)

and Kuraz the Light Monarch (effect: take out 2 of your CB's place them in the spell and trap zone and draw 2 cards)

take out the first 6 listed spell cards and add

x3 Promise

x2 Blessing

x2 Crystal Tree

x1 MST

-3 Release

Trap wise:

-2 Counters

x3 Crystal Pair

x2 Roars

the key is to fill you spell and trap zone with CB's and either swarm with Charbuncle or use Abundance, it's a quick kill and it's a very formidable deck

That seems like a decent strategy but I run my deck a bit differently.

Monsters: 19

Topaz x 3

Amber x 2

Sapphire x 3

Cobalt x 1 (to use him with pegasus)

Ruby x 3 (like you said, swarm effect)

Amethyst x 2 (for some damage)

Hamon x 2 (since this deck seems to be quite decent for this)

Rescue Cat x 1

Cyber Jar x 1

Jinzo x 1 (For Trap falure (hee hee))

Spells: 17

Ancient City x 2

Beacon x 3

Abundance x 3 (for the abundance theme and for massive damage if used correctly)

Release x 2

Promise x 2

Blessing x 2

Soul Absorption x 3 (lots of gaining here with this deck!)

Traps: 4

Mirror Force x 1

Crystal Counter x 1

Rainbow life x 2 (Just in case XP)

Here in this theme, you get tons of life points while you damage the opponent, sort of like a "vampire" as some would say.

Here in this theme, you get tons of life points while you damage the opponent, sort of like a "vampire" as some would say.

all the bold cards should be removed for the following reasons:

Cobalt is just kinda useless, he takes a monster off the field then you know what your next card is going to be, plus if your opponent brings out something powerful......yeah

Hamon is stronger then Rainbow Dragon, however you have to sac 3 CB's from you spell and trap zone, this kills the chance of Abundance

Cyber Jar is banned, Rescue Cat is kinda useless due to low attack points, the effect is ok, but it leaves you open afterwards and you can use Jinzo in any deck, but you have to place him in the right kinda deck, not just anywhere

Release gets the CB attack points up but it takes up a space which kills Abundance, same for Absorbtion

Rainbow Life is a no no, and Mirrior Force is good, but like Jinzo it can be used wherever, you don't need to throw it in any deck

add these

Monsters:

x1 Cat

x1 Kuraz

Spells:

x1 City

x1 Promise

x1 Blessing

x2 Crystal Tree (this is a must run in a CB deck, very useful espeically with ruins out)

traps:

x1 Torrental (another must)

x2 Solemn

x2 Roar

x3 Pair

you don't have to follow my advice but this is the best i have to offer

*knocks his head hard* I FORGOT CYBER JAR WAS BANNED! XP

Well I will agree on a few things with you:

Hamon does weaked abundance, but it cancels with Blessings in hand.

Since CJ is banned, I would agree for either Kuraz or another Rescue Cat.

Since the form I posted was for gaining life points, I guess dropping 1 Spell Absorption and 1 Rainbow life would do in exchange for 1 Crystal Tree (or 2), and Torrental.

Roar is a gime gick card that negates attacks, but why not benefit from the attack by increasing your life points instead?

Pair would be more useful if you also had Rainbow but I do see your point. If you combine that card with Blessing, then your going somewhere.

You'll need to explain about Solemn...

2 Citys seem enough, no? Why have three when 2 is enough since they usually stay on the field for quite a while?

you can never have enough ruins, it's kinda like necrovalley when you're using gravekeepers you want it in your hands ASAP, the more the better the chance

even though solemn costs half your LP it can stop anything, summons, card effects, it's a seriosuly powerful card, but i will agree with you on 1 thing....keeping the LP high would work along with it

i think we're on 2 seperate ideas here, but increasing the LP will just drag out the duel, if you keep increasing then get dead draws the duels not gonna go anywhere, plus i gotta get to bed, test in economics tomorrow
