You guys have to stop saying that you hate it. It is the homework that test to see what you've learned in class. If you can do it, then it means you're caught up with the material and know whats going on. If you can't do it then you should pay attention in class and study. If you don't want to do it, it's your loss.

Too lazy to watch the video.

However' date=' I no longer have homework anyway, since I go to school online. =P

It's Elementary School online...

Homework should be assigned. Why?

Homework: You learn. Your greatest teacher is yourself. No?

You put the skills or things you learn from school and apply them to H.W.

I personally would prefer homework to be assigned unlike most of you lazy bastards. (Although I don't prefer it sometimes if the assignment is either tedious (most of the times it is but whatever) or pointless.)

I'm sure someone has already said this, but funk it.

Studies have proven that no homework = better students.

that may well be, but professors feel the students still have to prove it to THEM

Even though scholars that performed said studies have proven the professors wrong? I read that in an article, a teacher purposely does not give homwork to see how the student's performance changed, and I believe that the students had the best grades in that teacher's class.

Professors/teachers are too stubborn. They should just vary the rate at which they give homework more often. This will allow them to draw conclusions from how important/necessary homework actually is.

some do, like once every other week (and they don't have to be long ones either), whereas others assign them daily just to force you to devote your entire life to it (call it THEIR form of entertainment)

And some professors see by stop giving homework altogether you'd grow incompetent' date=' so they never stop, some firmly believe in the [b']"no rest for the weary"[/b] saying

Sounds like slavery to me.

I do not see homework as slavery' date=' but it's certainly a start of doing something you don't want to do ([b']which will happen a lot later on in your life[/b])

Which is why you get a job you like.

what makes you think you can always get what you want in life?

Well' date=' maybe a little bit of homework would be okay, but the Amounts of Homework we have, and the time we have to finish it can be ridicolous at times.

that's just the way of the professor to test your time managing skills, and yes, some of them actually expect you to take up just as little time as they do when doing the work. If it takes 5 min for them to do it, they expect it'll take you 5 min as well. If it takes you 2 hours, that's your problem, not theirs

You said doing stuff you don't want to do, and I assumed you were referring to jobs. I did not say anything relating to always getting what you want.

No, they know that it would take you much longer than them to something like that. Their job is to make sure that you become used to the subject so that it becomes easier for you. If it takes two hours or something, they encourage you to do it faster. They just want it done, it doesn't matter how long it takes, so long as it get it done in time.
