Atomix
Yes. Taking work home does not effect you benificialy. If you don't like it, you won't learn it. You will just lose more sleep.
ragnarok1945
make the scary homework go away! :o The kid speaks good points! Your pencil is your sword and your mind is your shield. Use those to conquer the beasts upon those pieces of paper and vanquish that with stands in your way. unfortunately enough professors know how to counter that by now

arpeejajo
You guys have to stop saying that you hate it. It is the homework that test to see what you've learned in class. If you can do it, then it means you're caught up with the material and know whats going on. If you can't do it then you should pay attention in class and study. If you don't want to do it, it's your loss.

「tea.leaf」
Fox News? Typical. This child is going to grow up into an oblivious red neck; such a waste of a young mind... Of course, homework should be assigned. Anyone who thinks otherwise mustn't have thought it through very much.

Willieh
Too lazy to watch the video. However' date=' I no longer have homework anyway, since I go to school online. =P[/quote'] It's Elementary School online... Homework should be assigned. Why? Homework: You learn. Your greatest teacher is yourself. No?You put the skills or things you learn from school and apply them to H.W.I personally would prefer homework to be assigned unlike most of you lazy bastards. (Although I don't prefer it sometimes if the assignment is either tedious (most of the times it is but whatever) or pointless.) I'm sure someone has already said this, but funk it. Studies have proven that no homework = better students.

I read that in an article, a teacher purposely does not give homwork to see how the student's performance changed, and I believe that the students had the best grades in that teacher's class. Phantom Roxas
Professors/teachers are too stubborn. They should just vary the rate at which they give homework more often. This will allow them to draw conclusions from how important/necessary homework actually is.

This will allow them to draw conclusions from how important/necessary homework actually is. some do, like once every other week (and they don't have to be long ones either), whereas others assign them daily just to force you to devote your entire life to it (call it THEIR form of entertainment)
Phantom Roxas
Now you're making them sound like sadists. No, what I mean is like they at first give homework every other week, then start giving homework daily, change the amount given each time, and eventually stop giving homework altogether. ragnarok1945
And some professors see by stop giving homework altogether you'd grow incompetent, so they never stop, some firmly believe in the "no rest for the weary" saying

ragnarok1945
I do not see homework as slavery, but it's certainly a start of doing something you don't want to do (which will happen a lot later on in your life)

Lazer Yoshi
Well, maybe a little bit of homework would be okay, but the Amounts of Homework we have, and the time we have to finish it can be ridicolous at times.

You said doing stuff you don't want to do, and I assumed you were referring to jobs. I did not say anything relating to always getting what you want. Their job is to make sure that you become used to the subject so that it becomes easier for you. If it takes two hours or something, they encourage you to do it faster. They just want it done, it doesn't matter how long it takes, so long as it get it done in time.
